If you're a man of Mediterranean descent, body hair is not a lifestyle choice. It's a birthright. As a Greek man, my ancestors were herding goats on mountainsides looking like walking Brillo pads. So walking into European Wax Center to have strangers rip hair out of my shoulders feels... culturally complicated. My people did not survive centuries of history just for me to wake up one day and say, "You know what would be fun? Let's pour hot wax on my body and rip out my follicles like I'm preparing for the Olympics." And yet... here I am. European Wax Center is clean, efficient, and very easy to book online. Which is great, because it means you never have to call a stranger and say the sentence: "Hello, I'd like to schedule some aggressive hair removal." You check in and within minutes someone is calmly spreading hot wax on you like they're frosting a cake. A cake that is unfortunately attached to your shoulders. Then comes the rip. Somewhere deep inside, my inner Greek barbarian wants to roar and run back into the mountains. Instead I sit there quietly thinking, "Ah yes... this is how the modern man suffers." The staff are nice and professional, though the vibe is definitely efficient rather than spa-day indulgence. This is less "luxury relaxation" and more "well-run hair removal logistics operation." I respect that. Huge bonus: I can walk there. Few things are more humbling than casually strolling down the street knowing you're about to pay someone to violently remove your fur. For the record, I am not going full dolphin. The chest hair stays. That's protected territory. Bear energy must remain somewhere. ;) This is simply about taming the wilderness so I don't look like I'm wearing an invisible sweater. Final verdict: Clean. Fast. Convenient. Okay so I've been coming to European wax center for 8 years and recently the girl I used to see at the lone tree location moved away so I decided to try the location closer to my house in cherry creek and did a random appointment with a random specialist and omg did I luck out. I only ever come in to wax my legs and I was placed with the sweetest girl named sierra. Not only was she such great energy she was incredibly thorough and professional. I came in and she instantly had the biggest smile on her face and the vibe the entire time was so lovely. Not to mention the room she's normally in smelled AMAZING! If anyone is looking to get waxed at this location definitely ask for sierra. 10/10 read more

The text I sent my friend from the car when I left was "wow fastest but ouchiest wax of my life" which is honestly a good text, and I figured I was just overdue and forgot the sting it always causes, but got home and there's 1. Still wax that I now need to take care of 2. Patches of missed hair and 3. red bruise looking marks all over that I've never experienced in years of waxing :-( my gal was beyond nice, but now that it's been 1.5 hours and I'm home and can see/feel it all? Her speed was not efficiency it was careless. I can't go back because why would I go back to this location again, and I don't even know if I want to go to a different business to try and get it cleaned up because I'm worried about the red marks the EWC left. They look like red/slightly purple bruises? Nothing like that has ever happened to my skin and nothing in my routine/medication has changed, the only change is that I came here to EWC instead of my usual Wax and Lash denver location. read more

This review is for the front desk today, not the esthetician! My wax was great but I was super put off by the front desk girl who after I paid says "do you want to tip 20 or 25% today?" A standard tip is 20% as someone who works service industry-and asking in that way was so pushy. I've been getting waxes here since 2015 and have never not tipped 20%. In the past the staff have just asked "would you LIKE to leave gratuity?" and allowed me to choose to leave the 20%. read more

The front desk was incredibly rude this morning when trying to figure out who an experienced waxer is on their staff. They accused me of asking them to talk down on their waxers and I specifically said I'm not asking that I'm asking how long they've been with the company. I've been seeing Charona, she is by far their best waxer, she is a lovely person and always had incredible attention to detail, and it seems like they fired her since my last appointment (November 5th) and would not provide any reasons. She has a huge book of clients and this is clear from all of the positive 5 star reviews she received below as well as on google reviews. What terrible business management. Even if they did not fire her to not give any indication or warning to her clients is completely unprofessional. I've been burned by wax during my Brazilian when they scheduled me with other waxers, and I've also had to return for a redo when they scheduled me with other new waxers instead of booking me with Charona- I have called and left a note she is my preferred waxer and they moved me to help build other waxers books up who were not ready to perform services. Unacceptable service. Once my wax passes are up will not be supporting this location. read more

For some reason, I love to keep reviewing European Wax Centers despite it being a chain. I frequently mix up the Cherry Creek and Denver Downtown locations, but fortunately they're close to each other when I do mess up. I will say that the Cherry Creek EWC has a better street parking situation, so I tend to favor this spot. The staff members here are always phenomenal and make great conversationalists. Also a great place to visit if you need to run other errands in the area, i.e. Cherry Creek Mall. These estheticians seem less pushy about products and packages, which I appreciate. I went in for my first wax today and really appreciated the first wax being free! Brenda was fantastic and made me feel extremely comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. Unfortunately my wax was patchy and I will still have to shave. On the website it says the bikini line goes 2 fingers in and the wax ended right at the bikini line. Brenda did check to make sure I gave her job the thumbs up after but I couldn't see the patches and didn't notice how far the wax went in. I have been a customer of European Wax Center for over 5 years and have been going to the Hampden locations where I had 2 of the best waxers. One moved away, and just when I found another one I loved, I moved. This location on 2nd is right up the street from my place now and on days I don't feel like driving, I can ride my bike there. My problem with this location however, is the fact that the customer service here is awful. I circled around looking for a parking spot, which as you may know in Cherry Creek North is terrible. Then I had to pay a meter, and by that point I'm running into my appointment trying to not be late even though I arrived 15 minutes early. After fighting the parking situation, I haven't been making my appointments ahead of time like I normally do because of the frustration every time I come here. One time when I was waiting for my wax appointment, I overheard one girl who checking out complain to the worker about the parking lot being full. So once it was my turn to check out, I asked about the parking lot and that's when I was informed about the parking lot available for customers. It would have been nice to be informed about this from when I booked my first appointment. I like the fact that they have a private parking lot for customers so you don't have to deal with the dreaded street parking, paying the meter, etc.. all which are reasons that would be too much of a hassle for me to continue coming here. I'll continue coming to this company because I love their hard wax, I like the cleanliness of the facilities, and I like how they don't double dip the applicator. I also finally found a waxer that I love after what seemed like an endless search, I don't want to go through the troubles of starting all over in looking for another one with another company. My suggestion to improve the overall experience here is to train the people at the front desk better customer service. Luckily, since there's so much turnover, many of them are gone by the time I'm due for my next wax appointment, but many times the cycle of rudeness starts again. read more

This is by far the worst European wax center I have gone to. I don't live in Denver and had time to get waxed before my flight. I booked three areas to get waxed Thursday night. My appointment was at 8am Friday. I called at 8:02letting them know that I just needed to find parking and would be in. I arrived at 8:09 and then noticed a text I received at 8:08 saying my appointment was canceled. When I checked in at 8:09, I was told there was only time for two services now. I told them what two I wanted, the two I had wax passes for. When I went back to get waxed, the lady told me I couldn't get the two services I selected. There wasn't time. I told her, I didn't understand how me being 9 minutes late caused them not to be able to do the two services I selected at the front desk. She just said she was completely booked today. I said I get that and understood why I wasn't able to get all three services I had originally booked, but didn't understand why I couldn't get the two services I had wax passes for, as I was only 9 minutes late. First eyebrow wax was fine. Bought a pass to save money. Send wax, horrible. In 15 years of having my brows waxed, they've never been so uneven. It was very rushed. One brow is significantly shorter than the other and it now looks like I'm raising my left brow. My normal waxing place went out of business and so I tired this. Although they offer half price the first wax, I wouldn't even want to pay that again for the service I received. The wax wasn't fully done--I still had to end up shaving a lot. The process getting waxed was strange--I have never had to hold my legs in such positions just to not get any hair and it was rather unprofessional. It felt very disingenuous and they kept trying to sell me packages and products I didn't need. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Update: Stand by this review. Manager Rachel called after posting the review. Offered to replace the product, but was unapologetic and condescending. I have been a very loyal customer to European Wax Center for several years and bought a variety of products. Up until now, things have been fine and no issues. Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with a manager (Rachel) that was working when I came in to return a product (for the first time ever). It had a faulty pump and been giving me issues since I bought it. Instead of honoring the commitment made at my previous appointment to just replace the pump or product, she instead wasted additional product "trying to fix it", then "proving to me it worked just fine". When she tried to argue, I let her know I wasn't interested in debating my problems with the pump. So she handed it back to me saying there's nothing more she would do. When asked for her supervisor's information, she refused to give it to me saying she was the manager and again nothing more could be done. I asked her directly if this small issue was worth loosing my business and loyalty. She shrugged her shoulders and couldn't care less. Unprofessional and very disappointed. Since my favorite esthetician is leaving soon anyways, I will not buy any more product from this store and considering a switch to a different location (despite the significant distance, inconvenience). read more

By far the most unprofessional waxing studio in have encountered. They say walk ins are available, but when you sho up they require you make an appointment. On another occasion I did make an appointment and requested Jessa. When I arrived for my appointment they did not honor that request. After sitting for 15 minutes I asked when I would be getting in and was told by the snotty, condescending desk attendant that "like she told me, Jessa was with another client and they would get to me when she is done"! I had to wait almost 30 minutes after my appointment time to see Jessa. When I was finished, I asked how they were going to compensate me for my time and request and was told they don't compensate without the managers permission and she was on vacation I could expect to hear from her in about 10 days. I wrote to the company and was told this was a franchise location and I needed to wait for them to contact me. Well, that day has yet to come! I have not heard from anyone regarding my experience, my wait, request for Jessa or the behavior of the front desk attendant. Will be taking my business to a polite and decent salon that cares about their clients experience and returning their communications when things go wrong! I've been coming to European Wax for several years. I started in 2014 when my sister introduced me to the place. We went to the one up at 144th at The Orchards I believe it is called. Then I followed Sara (who I preferred) to Boulder. Then she left and I wasn't a fan of the parking area. Plus I rarely go to Boulder. I found out there was one in Cherry Creek and since this is where I typically go in Denver, I began coming here. My favorite lady is Nanette! She's been my wax technician for about 3 years now. My last visit was her birthday and I wanted to give her a gift. I got so busy, I ended up giving her cash. Who doesn't enjoy money as a gift? As a bigger lady, she is very conscious in being careful and kind. She's also EXTREMELY kind and encouraging!!! I love that she is so thorough and meticulous. I'm OCD about hair! I love not shaving and still feeling smooth and clean. I don't feel self-conscious with her, which makes my experience even better! I also love their products. I get the Sensual body wash and lotion, but was told they have a new line. I tried it Saturday. It's a tropical one (green bottle). I enjoyed it a lot. I still like the Sensual one but I may have to switch if they stop carrying it. I reccomend this location because they have good parking and Nanette is FABULOUS! They all are. They also have package deals! They can customize your wax experience. read more

They have a 10 minute grace period, I called and let them know I was going to be 10 minutes late, showed up at the 10 minute mark and the lady took forever to come get me and then came out and said she couldn't take me because it was past the 10 minutes even though I got there right at 10 minutes past. Jenn P gets the trophy from me :) I've seen several waxers here and she is one who has verbally expressed to me the understanding that I am paying for a service and should expect my waxer to take their time, ask about comfort, etc. Maybe it's personal preference, but I do NOT like getting someone who is super fast. It's not a race. I want someone who will do 5, 10, 15 extra strips, if that is what is needed, to complete the service. It makes me upset to pay $50 for something, only to return home, turn on my own wax pot, to clean up what the waxer missed (yes, even after asking for cleanup while there). This NEVER is the case with Jenn P :) Also, She always ensures the wax is ready before pulling. Some people don't wait long enough and it pulls the hair, but not OUT lol As for the late policy, this is standard for all EWCs. BUT, what I have noticed is that other locations I have been to across the country, remind me of this policy at the time of the reservation, and any time I have made a reservation at this location via phone, they do not remind me of that. It would be my suggestion to this location (and the call center) to always say something like, "Just as a reminder, there is construction in the area so arriving early will ensure that the 9 minute late/cancellation policy will not have to be enforced." read more

Today was my first visit here, as I really needed to get in for a wax session after not being able to during the covid19 stay at home orders. I picked this location bc it was close to my work and I could walk over. Jenn is who did my Brazilian and she did an incredibly thorough job! She also helped instruct me on some products I could use to help minimize irritation and growth in between sessions. I was so pleased with my first visit that I purchased the session package and got 9 sessions plus 3 free sessions so now I am covered for a year! This will definitely be my go to spot from now on. Not only do I have minimal irritation (let's face it, some discomfort was inevitable after having to go back to shaving the past 7 weeks) but again the application was very smooth and she really took the time to get it all! read more

I used to love EWC because of Erika (who has since moved on to greater things). She was friendly, punctual, paid close attention to detail, always used the anti-ingrown hair serum, and always asked about the temperature of the wax. I have bounced around several aestheticians in this location, but I haven't quite found the "golden egg." I was compelled to leave a review because, while I love the wax product itself, my latest aesthetician did a sub-par job today, in my opinion. I was several minutes (maybe 3? 2?) early to my appointment and waited until 8:10 am until she called me back. I like to have 8am appointments because I have to get to work at a certain point in time - I also read through the comments that there is a 9-minute policy? And EWC can't event keep their own policy for their employees? I digress - I checked my receipt, and I cashed out at 8:24am. 14 minutes of service. If she did a superb job, I wouldn't be so upset, but I still have that navy-blue wax strung on my leg and my bikini area, I have (many) long hairs (and even MORE short hairs due to possibly incorrect technique?) still in my bikini area, and she never used the serum to prevent ingrown hairs. I will say that she was effortlessly friendly, and seemed like a kind person. Maybe it just wasn't her morning, however, I had her the last time I came in, and the same lack of attention to detail was still there. I would like to compliment the front desk staff. They're always so friendly, and today, the woman who checked me out RAN out the door after me to give me my serum that I just purchased! She's the bomb. I give a three-star because I like the atmosphere, the room seems clean, and the staff are all amazing and put on a smile (God bless them with customers like me), but the hit-or-miss on staff aesthetician quality is really a downer. Maybe see if there are more trainings available to staff so that they have a chance to improve at work? Perhaps a mentorship will retain staff and increase customer satisfaction? Is it appropriate for me to ask other staff who they prefer to do their Brazilian? Haha. read more

I love my waxer Karissa but, when I ended up running exactly 9 minutes late (they have a 9 minute policy apparently) due to the fact that there is construction surrounding the building I was told I needed to reschedule. It is not on me that multiple streets accessing your building are closed. I work and go to school full time so finding time to take care of me is difficult. This was basically my first time at this location and looking at all the reviews I decided to go with Clea. My eye brows have always seemed complex to me and no matter who I went to for the past 15 years I can never really find some one who can give me what I'm wanting. I came out of my appt .with Clea just floored. I have never found anyone who gave me the result I really wanted in over 15 years. I can now feel proud of my eyebrows and when she finished, as cheesy as it sounds I almost had tears in my eyes, not because of the waxing :) but because I alway thought I could never achieve the look I wanted. Trust me I was surprised too. To top it all off I also have to say her technique is fabulous, compared to all my past waxers I hardly felt her waxing. It's been an awful experience, and I won't visit this location anymore. I'd only been a handful of times, but every time they're communication was terrible, they scheduled me with the wrong person, or rescheduled my appointment for the wrong date. I've been waxing for about 6 years and just thought the experience was "supposed to hurt" and that was that. After having a slew of cringe worthy experiences, which include but are not limited to: agonizingly long appointments, being burned, and patchy jobs, I finally found EWC. They use some purple magic brujeria to wax and its faaaaaaantastic. In regard to this location specifically, I've been seeing MEG for about a year for Brazilians and I absolutely adore her. Her technique is unparalleled and Im in and out in 15 minutes :). However, because she is on maternity leave at the moment, i saw CLEA today based on her recommendation and i couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. CLEA not only had waxing tips but also informed me that the dry colorado weather was causing breakage and was able to recommend a product to remedy the issue. All in all, i'm sure everyone here is great and competent (except for Holly, who burned my roomate - but im pretty sure she no longer works here as she received awful reviews on yelp - check out 2016 if you dont believe me). So ridiculous! I arrive at 1:38 and she says it's 1:39 and cannot take me after 9 min late. I am NOT over 9 minutes late. I am at 8 min late. Even if it were 1:39it is not AFTER 9 min late! All for a service that takes 5 min! It doesn't put anybody out at all! You're just being difficult! Also you advertise walk ins available! Well how can you take walk ins if you can't even get me in within my appointment time??? Yesterday I trued to walk in and you were all booked. So how can you advertise walk ins???
