Hail the new paradigm in medical diagnostics... everybody wants their money up-front pending an insurance determination. Which is fine, if you promise to quickly refund any overpayment. RAI seems intent on holding $36 hostage hoping I'll forget about it. I probably have more coins hiding in my couch but that's not the point. Calls to their billing department yield unhelpful minions reading from a script imploring me to be patient as "the check is in the mail." Forgive me if I call BS. It's been six months... and counting. In any case, I'll never return. I hope the $36 was worth it. Zero stars. read more

Radiology Affiliates used to be a wonderful place to get Services. Princeton Radiology acquired them and has turned it into a real show. Just getting through to them is a nightmare. You have to leave a number and I'll call you back which takes them a few days. Then when they call you back, they say well we don't schedule that facility. You have to call this number... you call that number and they say our hours are 7 am to and then they tell you to leave a message because there Scheduling department is closed at 8:45 AM after waiting 27 minutes to get somebody on the line. And that is after them telling you to push number one if you want to leave a message which doesn't work the first four times I tried it. read more

I've been happy with radiology affiliates for many years, not one complaint. Since Princeton Radiology took them over, you can't even get a person on the phone to make an appointment. Ive spent an hour 2 days in a row to make a routine appt. UNBELEIVABLE! read more

Good hours but if you need to speak to someone it's difficult and I've been trying to get access to my records and keep giving them my Info and email and they use a site called pocket health who never seems to successfully create an account for me and I can't get through to the office front desk to discuss. The Kuser Rd facility is the worst place to go. They are very RUDE. The tech who did my test was good but the office staff is terrible. The office supervisor berated me because I was upset that they just changed the appointment time without telling me. You call for a certain appointment time. They think you are at their beck and call. After 20 years I will be making my appointments somewhere else. I don't need to be treated like this. Contrary to this supervisor, you are not the only place in Hamilton that does imaging. I will be looking elsewhere for future tests. read more

Has gone downhill. Front desk needs significant improvement. I've been going here for my annual mammograms for the last few years. Switched from other places due to tests being run which ended up not being covered by my insurance despite me supposedly needing them and me ending up with significant out of pocket expenses despite me having good health insurance. Was happy up until this year. The policy to be there 30 min before your appt is frankly ridiculous. No other medical or dental office requires that. The front desk person that checked me in on my first trip didn't seem to be very computer savvy so check in took a lot longer than normal. (And I had waited quite a bit because some guy on front of me seemed to have a lot of complications with his paperwork). She "supposedly" scanned in my drivers license and insurance card. Then I waited for some time before I was called back. They weren't even that busy. Once I was called back, was waiting for the mammographer. Turns out she was eating and thus the delay. The mammography room smelled of whatever she was eating and it was just really unprofessional. Everything went fine until the last set of scans on the left. I felt like the positioning was wrong as it seemed to be up towards my collarbone. Low and behold I got called back on that same side. Making a follow-up appt took way longer than it should have, and I had to give my insurance info again despite me being there the day prior. They couldn't see me until about 5 weeks later and only start at 8:30 am. Got a robocall 2 days prior to the appt which was very long and all the important info like day and time was at the very end as well as the request to confirm. Then someone called the next day to confirm. I asked them to do one or the other type of confirmation, both were not necessary. Most medical offices are using text confirmations which are much more efficient, so phone calls seem so antiquated. Appt was today and the same front desk person checked me in, asked for my ID and insurance card. i said I had just been there so they should def. have my insurance info. She said it wasn't in the system and said she didn't know what happened, she wasn't the person who checked me in (when indeed she was). Then she couldn't find the script my gyno sent; I had to dig it out of my patient portal record and email it to her. Turns out it was there, she just didn't look in the right place. Got called back and then waited in my gown for some time. Same mammographer comes to get me. No food smells in the room, which was a plus. She lets me know the radiologist will read the films and let me know if an ultrasound was needed. I really didn't want one as I was 90% sure there were no issues, the gel they use is gross, and I didn't want to be stuck paying for it as it wasn't on my script. Of course they decided I needed one. Get that and then low and behold all is fine. I'm pretty sure these firms do this for extra revenue. And I bet had my original mammogram been done correctly, I wouldn't have had to come back. Not sure if I will return as I found this whole series of interactions really frustrating. Definitely a lot of room for improvement here, esp. with the front desk. read more

Several weeks ago, I scheduled a mammogram in their Lawrenceville office. Twice they called me to reschedule my appointment such that the next scheduled appointment is almost a month after the appointment I originally made. And this is only if they do not call me again to reschedule. I asked about getting a mammo at their Hamilton office. They told me their next available mammogram appointment at Hamilton is in February. I wasn't thrilled with RAI to begin with, but they participated with my former insurance. Wouldn't recommend RAI to others. Next year, I will go elsewhere. read more

This is the second time that Radiology Affiliates has had me come back in weeks after having issues with my original mammogram. it use to be if there was an issue they would have you wait and do the additional testing the same day. I get a call today February 20th that they need to do more imaging but I can't be seen until March 29th. This is absolutely insane. I told the scheduler I hope i don't die waiting for this follow up appointment. I have been going here for many years for all of my testing but after my follow up I'm done. To have someone wait this long for additional images is really upsetting. Schedule your mammogram elsewhere. read more

I called RAI after Princeton Radiology wasn't picking up the phones for 2 days, and I was able to get an appointment for the next day. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful both over the phone and in person. My previous experience with ultrasounds is that its a 30 minute plus experience, but I was called in right on time and was out in less than 20. The tech was great, explained the process before she started, and made me feel safe and comfortable for the whole process. Next time i need a test, I will probably go here again - just waiting to see how the bill comes out. read more

Having the procedure done was fine and less expensive than other places, but making an appointment, getting a copy of my record and then trying to make an appointment to simply pick up my record took several phone calls and several days of my time for each call. You have to leave a message for everything - they do not pick up their phone and they do not call back. I know this is Covid times, but answering a call or returning a call has nothing to do with the pandemic. I would gladly have paid more money for my procedure elsewhere, to get better customer service. This a medical facility -some people have illnesses. A clown show that leaves you with brain damage. I recently had to contact my orthopedic doctor to tell him that after two weeks and a dozen phone calls to RAI I was not able to schedule the MRI that he requested. RAI had contacted me to say that they had my prescription and approval. Then their "system" went down and they'd call me back to schedule. That went on for a week. Then they lost my insurance information. Then they told me today that all appointments were at least two weeks out. I solved the problem with one call to Princeton Radiology, which scheduled me within the same week. Somewhere, someone is suffering needlessly because of RAI. read more

I've been here, with a 5 year old boy who has a broken finger, for one hour twenty-five minutes and have yet to be seen. That's with an appointment. What's makes it worse is three walk-ins after us have been called. The people seem nice enough but clearly their appointment process is terrible. WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!! Then my son tried a read a book in the (lack of) collection "Brown Bear Brown Bear" but all the pages were ripped out. He showed the book to an employee and instead of taken the book and saying thank you the person said "Oh ok put it back". Are you kidding me he's 5 and was doing you a favor. This place sucks - another person - AFTER US just was seen. EDIT: I now recall coming to this place 6 years ago when my wife was 20-weeks pregnant for an anatomy scan. We were asked if we wanted to know the sex of the baby prior to the scan - and we didn't!!! Well the idiot radiologist just blurted out "it's a boy" mid scan. This place truly sucks. read more

Great experience at the Lawrence facility but totally horrendous experience with billing. Cannot get the same answer from anyone in billing. They submitted it incorrectly to insurance so that it processes as out of network even though it is in-network. 6 months later I have yet to get a correct bill but they sent it to collections with NO explanation of what the charges are for even though they said the account would be on hold until they straightened out THEIR mess with Aetna. I have used RAI for 20 years with no billing issues but after this debacle, I will NOT go back. I have had to spend hours on the phone trying to resolve this and still no resolution. read more

RAI welcomed me as a new patient quickly and efficiently. I was getting my xray done within 5 minutes of arriving, as a walked in! I'm hopeful for a speedy recovery and when RAI forwards my x-rays to my doctor, I will have helped me to feel closer to getting my health back under control. read more

When a patient goes in for an exam at Holy Redeemer Health System in the Radiology Department, no one tells the patient that there are TWO charges! They pay the hospital AND this company. Both companies acknowledge problems of not informing patients, yet only the patient suffers. read more

2020 has certainly been a crazy year full of new ideas of what "normal" is for everyone. People's lives have changed forevermore due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including mine. But my life will never be the same for a different reason. It all started almost 1 year ago, before the entire world knew Wuhan, China and we all started wearing masks and washing our hands religiously. It was the end of October when I decided to move a fake succulent plant right before bed. It was a bit heavy and awkward, and it stabbed my nipple. I screamed because it hurt, but I really didn't think much about it, and even laughed a bit considering the circumstances. Over the next week, a lump developed. Considering the location, I knew I shouldn't ignore it, but I never want to go to the doctor. My medical life has been complicated for many reasons, but that's another story. My doctor indicated I needed an ultrasound, and I immediately made an appointment at RAI's Lawrenceville office. They were courteous, professional, and caring, just like they always are at RAI. My appointment was quick and effortless, and I didn't really think much of it. Everyone believed my injury to be a hematoma given the circumstances, but the folks at RAI did recommend I come back if it did not resolve itself and heal within the next few weeks. Fast forward to the new year, COVID-19 was all over the news, and the bump on my nipple had not gone away. I contacted my doctor and she indicated I would need additional imaging. Back to RAI for a follow up ultrasound, and then with no improvement shown, my first ever mammogram. RAI was fantastic, as usual. They got me in quickly for all my appointments, and they were very cautious given the current world climate and were following all the COVID-19 protocols and beyond. They made the experience as pleasant and easy as it could be... something extremely important to me as I don't like to focus on myself and I am a mom of two boys with a full-time job. After the many additional tests, I received the call from my primary doctor telling me I had breast cancer in two different locations in my right breast. I was stunned! She explained that this was not something I could wait on despite the pandemic, and that I needed to speak with surgeons ASAP. Luckily, again due to COVID, I was able to have my Bilateral Mastectomy just a week after being diagnosed. The speed from diagnosis to surgery was unprecedented! This was the silver lining of the global pandemic for me. I was certainly scared, confused, and quite honestly in a bit of a daze, but had limited time to dwell on the issue, and leaned heavily on my support system. I am extremely thankful for all of the support and help I received from my family and friends. I have since been through a couple surgeries, numerous doctor's appointments, and countless tissues. However, I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world. If it weren't for a freak accident with a fake houseplant, the quick actions and concerns from the folks at RAI, my sister-in-law working to get me connected to my great doctors, and even the global COVID-19 pandemic, I would not have been able to get through this forever life-changing ordeal of breast cancer as quickly, effectively, and successfully as I have. My "new normal," not even a year after this all began, has made me appreciate just what I have and who I have to share it with. I have seen the true spirit of the people around me and I will be eternally grateful! read more

I'm surprised by some of these negative reviews. My experiences with RAI have always been great. I've never experienced much of a wait, even as a walk-in. It's also very easy to get your report or CDs of your images. They're also very easy to contact on the phone. read more

Avoid at ALL costs. They never sent out a bill to me and then send me to collections without any notice. I waited nearly 8 months for a bill and never received a single invoice. No notice, no due amount, no due date... PATHETIC. When speaking to their billing department their only response was "Well you should have known that you owed something and called us to pay it"... Office doesn't care about welfare of patients. They wanted me to drive 1/2 hour the morning after a state of emergency snow storm and when I didn't show they would not let me "reschedule my no-show" with out my credit card. People who answer the phones are extremely rude and it is clear they must also hate working here. read more

Please ask your insurance company to recommend other facilities. Their techs are poorly trained, their radiologists are sexist and unavailable to patients and the quality of their work is poor. The service was acceptable but we had enormous problems with both their records department and their billing department. First, they gave us the incorrect records twice, requiring us to make the drive to their office which is far for us, because they couldn't seem to get the records for the correct date of service. As per their billing department, what a mess. Their records demonstrate that they clearly input our address wrong (doubled up on the street name so lake became "lake-lake") so the one and only bill they sent us never arrived. They made no further attempt to contact us either by phone or mail and simply put this bill through to collections. When I finally started getting the collection calls, I called RAI back and after establishing that it was their mistake that resulted in this particular bill being lost, I asked why they didn't just re-send it or call me as I would have paid it off immediately. They claim this is not in their policy and that they will only issue you one statement. If it gets lost, or their staff issue it to the wrong address, you will be immediately sent to collection. This policy is completely ridiculous and unprofessional. ONE PHONE CALL is all it would have taken for us to pay this statement. Customer service is ridiculous. read more

I have recently been to RAI with my son for an xray. I have to say this office is beautiful, clean and all of there workers are professional. When i walked in i was greeted with a smile and helped within minutes. They also have an area for kids to play and if you are a mom you know that is a life savor ! The technologist took my son and i back for his xray she was super nice and professional she even allowed me to go in the room because my son was scared. When my son was done she gave him a Tshirt and a lollipop witch he loved. I was even able to speak to the radiologist who explained my sons xray and eased my worries. He even showed my son his xray and for any 6 year old that is the coolest thing :) Even though i hope i do not have to take my son or anyone else in my family for any test i know if i do i am in good hands and certainly would not go anywhere else but RAI. read more

I was in the Lawrenceville office last Thursday (December 10, 2015) and was incredibly dissatisfied with my treatment. I was there for a dating scan for the first trimester of my pregnancy. At the time, I was almost 8 weeks along. My technician, Kathleen Stout, while friendly, did not explain a thing that she was doing. She made me incredibly uncomfortable, and was not informative at all. I could see on the screen that there was no heartbeat, and when I inquired about this, and if it was normal, she said, "I don't know. Maybe." That was not as reassuring as I would have expected. She quickly ended the ultrasound, had me get dressed, and told me that she needed to speak with the doctor about the ultrasound and to wait in the lobby. After waiting for close to 40 minutes, she quickly opened the door into the waiting room, and said, "Sorry about that, everything is OK, you can go home." Keep in mind, that we knew there was not a heartbeat, and were expecting to see a doctor. Instead, we got sent away. I immediately called my practitioner, and explained what happened. I then got a phone call a few hours later from my practitioner explaining that there was no cardiac activity detected, and that I more likely that not did not have a viable pregnancy. My complaint, specifically, is with Kathleen, and the doctor that day, Dr. LeCavalier. It is morally reprehensible to allow a patient to leave your office, knowing full well that she does not have a viable pregnancy, and rather than explaining that, you tell her that everything is fine. Instead of finding out horrendous news from a doctor, with my husband by my side, I had to find out while I was home on my couch, alone. Your doctor and technician broke every moral code possible, and I will never return to your practice again. I am filing a complaint with the State Board of Medical Examiners, as well as considering legal action. read more
