Booking with this hotel DIRECTLY from USA was challenging. Was able to get room for $250 a night with radisson membership. Check in was easy, but there may be a line. Room was cozy and bedding comfortable. Walls are thin and was fortunate there were few other guests. Some one else may have better luck than I did in how to operate TV. Free Wifi was available. Hotel restaurant was pricey. Fish & chips was $30 with 10% discount for reward members. Dish included breaded cod, small green lettuce with peas and less than crispy potatoe fries. Served less than 5 minutes after ordering. It was A-OK. As stated often, the hotel is directly across the street from airport, like a 2 or 3 minute easy walk. Very convenient for early flights. My wife, daughter, and I spent our last night in Norway at the Radisson Airport Hotel to make catching our early morning flight easy. One reaches the hotel by exiting the arrivals level near baggage claim 21, crossing the street, and walking down a short covered walkway. If you are arriving by train, the hotel is connected to the train station on the opposite side via a short driveway. Our adjoining rooms on the second floor overlooked the main terminal. I couldn't do any plane spotting from here, though. But just as lovely, I couldn't hear any aircraft either. The room was modern and comfortable. I would have liked a heated bathroom floor, though, like every other Norwegian hotel we stayed at on this trip. The included breakfast was excellent. I had the best scrambled eggs here at this buffet on our trip. We took the train down to Oslo for dinner and last-minute shopping. Since we had no luggage, we tried the regional train instead of the express for half the cost. It's well worth it and takes only slightly longer. When exiting the train at the airport station, walk in the opposite direction from everyone else for the quickest way back to the hotel. read more

Very convenient, but that's about it. Quick walk from train platform and terminal. The shower was hot but hardly any pressure. Took a while to rinse with hand wand. There was no washcloth provided. Bathroom steamed up and no fan to vent. Had to prop open door just to air out, since it auto closes. Rooms have no A/C, only "ventilation", high fan speed was not noticeable,finally opened the window but hard to sleep with it so bright so late. Only working ice machine was on level 4. Restaurant was okay but $34 for Fish & Chips was a tad high, even for Norway. Fish soup was good but not as good as that from Fisketorget in Stavanger. Service was average. read more

Let's be clear -- the sole purpose of this hotel is for people who need to catch flights to and from the Oslo airport. It's not a 5 star resort and it's not claiming to be one. As someone who has stayed at Radisson Blu chains in Europe in the past, I will say that this location isn't the best one, but again, you are at an airport. You can't have high expectations. Below are the pros and cons: Pros- -Walking distance to the airport. It was about a 2-minute walk for me to get to the Lufthansa terminal. -The lobby is decent and presentable. -There is a bar area and restaurant in the main lobby. If you are hungry, the restaurant typically closes at 11:00 pm, but I would check with the hotel staff. I opted to have dinner at the hotel because there were no other options around. I wouldn't say it was quality food, but it got the job done. -Rooms are a decent size for Oslo. -The staff at the front was very welcoming and helpful. If you have any COVID test results and/or Attestation forms that need to be printed, be sure to ask them. Cons- - The hotel has undergone renovations; unfortunately, the renovations haven't been kept up very well. This is especially true in the main hallways to get to the rooms. I've never stayed at a Motel 6, but I imagine the hallways have some resemblance to one another. -Some portions of the hotel room are updated and some aren't. You can tell where the interior design team cut corners. My only issue with cutting costs is when it comes to the walls and structure. There were tons of cracks in the walls and near the carpet baseboards. I wouldn't be surprised if a plethora of bedbugs were hiding away in the cracks. My suggestion is to keep your suitcase closed while you don't need it. Bedbugs are common in airport hotels and they love suitcases. -The bed looked clean but the carpet was visually dirty. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but only for convenience purposes. This hotel is considered one of the better options in the area and anything else would be lower in quality across the board. Got in too late to drive/take train to our final destination so booked one night stay at last minute. Good service at check in, bar open til 1 and serving sandwiches. Morning breakfast was a wonderful, complete collection of Norwegian breakfast foods. My spouse, returning home to Norway after two years, was in seventh heaven. read more

I've stayed here several times and it seems each time is better. Check in is easy. The beds are very soft and comfortable. The rooms have tons of electric outlets for charging. The bathroom is clean and modern. Plus, the rooms are completely quiet. Only downsides are that the restaurant is rather expensive, but that's Norway; and rooms can be hard to find as the hotel is organized like a honeycomb. But overall this is a very nice hotel and the location cannot be beat if you are flying out of Oslo. read more

There is only one reason to stay at this hotel: it is the closest hotel to the airport. You don't even need to put a jacket on if it is raining; a covered walkway is available for most of the 150 meters door-to-door. Service was very good. The pillows, mattresses, and available lines were of poor quality and uncomfortable. The lobby smelled very musty we heard lots of noises through the walls. If proximity to the airport is key for you then this might be a good choice. I will seek a slightly less convenient but higher value hotel next time. read more

Lots of careless inattention to detail... room door locks that operate oddly, require explanation, but none was offered... and they need Lubrication, too. A foot operated trash can that can't be foot operated. Wadded up tissues in the tissue box, a desk lamp that can't be turned on, but once on, can't be turned off, missing paint on the trim, tub stopper that doesn't work, wrinkled fabric headboard, etc. Can't beat it for convenience if you have a 6am flight... but don't expect excessive pleasantness. read more

There are several stops downtown so check your destination. Can use your credit to swipe entry without standing in line for a ticket, but no receipt given. I stay here all the time when i commute. Ca 5 nights a month. Excellent rooms, and fantastic breakfast. Gym is good with a pleasant atmosphere. Can't beat the distance to the terminal; 100 meters! Would defenitely recommend it to anyone staying overnight when flying through OSL. read more

Arriving late in Oslo for an early morning flight the following day to Tromso, we elected to stay at this hotel. Having not stayed at a Raddison for over a decade or so, I was not sure what to expect in terms of the accommodations. It was indeed a surprise and delight from three vantage points: Staff Smiling, courteous, efficient and helpful. Accommodations Clean, comfortable and very affordable. What else can you ask for. Although situated at the airport the room was totally sound proof. Breakfast First it was complimentary and with several degrees of separation from the run of the mill complimentary breakfast served in most establishments. No cooked to order choices but a ton of very enticing Norwegian breakfast items. Noteworthy, the breads, eggs, fresh fruit, cheeses (especially the Norwegian goat milk brown cheese), fresh squeezed orange juice and many more. Well done Raddison. I am always somewhat apprehensive about the quality of cooking in such places. But I must admit that they pleasantly surprised us. The Radisson markets itself as being at the airport, it is sort of a truth with modification. It is very close to the airport but be aware that there is a walk outside involved (and if it is the middle of winter it can be cold). I arrived late so just wanted some place close to the airport and did get that. Usually have no big expectations on hotels at or around airports. This one looks fairly nice so was expecting above average service. When arriving it was only one person at the frond desk so had to start with waiting around 10 minutes to check-in due to the line moving slowly. When it was my turn service was friendly and I quickly got the room key. The hotel is fairly ig so did take some time to get up and then walk (long corridors) to the room. The room was fairly big with everything I expect from a business hotel (free wifi, tv, desk, coffee/tea making stuff, iron and ironing board). The bathroom had a nice bathtub and the beds were comfortable. The hotel also has a nice fitness center. The breakfast was above average but over-crowded so even though the staff tried to keep things refilled it was a struggle for them. Check-out was also very slow, three people handling it but with so many people checking out at the same time it was just not enough. If they would improve service on check-in and check-out I would consider a better rating. read more

Standard airport hotel. This one is well appointed and the staff are great - usual for Norway. A two min walk from terminal it's the most convenient of the ones around here. My phones in the room didn't work and the tv is limited and screens small by today's standard. It's worth pointing out that the free wifi is very good. You can stream movies it's that good. Did I mention free!! Most hotels really let you down in this area. A must have for frequent travellers. I'll pick this hotel again. read more

I have used this hotel many times, this time due to SAS flight delays. The rooms have recently (1 year ago) been renovated, and they look great. The hotel is 50 meters from the airport, and they have an excellent breakfast! The family rooms are big, and great for families. We have used them several times on flights early in the morning when connections are not available. The one thing I would hold against the hotel, is the restaurant. High prices, but food quality does not follow. Would be nice to have a high quality hotel restaurant at he beat airport hotel at Gardermoen. Disappointing. First they come out with some bread. But instead of some nice fresh quality bread they server regular boring buns. The luxury king crab springroll starter sounded great, but delivered way under my expectations. Not much crab meat in that roll. For main course I tried the lamb, and that was ok. The chocolate dessert was also ok. read more

The worst hotel experience of my life. 3 lights were out in room, 1 electrical light cord was broken and exposed, door safety chain was broken, advertised mini bar was not in room, ice maker on floor was broken. I was never told that breakfast was included in price. Dinner that was supposed to be complimentary because of room problems was not taken off room charges. Management had no clue what was happening when checking out and made me late for my flight. I had to run to airline check in desk, then run to boarding gate. I complained to hotel via email and got response from them. I did not agree with them and sent reply. They never responded nor to the following 2 emails after that. Stay away from there! The Radiation Blu is a above average hotel. If you're looking for a hotel near the airport look no further than Blu, it is basically connected to the airport. The staff was great, rooms were modern and comfy. The restaurant and toots bar are disappointing, sad part is there aren't many options if you don't want to take the express train into the city center (if you have time I'd really suggest this). Their golf simulator which I was looking forward to was also broken. I'd stay here again! read more

I was very skeptical about staying at airport hotel, since I like peace and quiet when I travel, and airport hotels can be hit and miss... But alas, I did not want to rent a car for couple days in Oslo, and arriving in the middle of the night made this location perfect. Just a short walk from terminal via covered walkway (I did get lost, but again it is usual for me!), and I was checking into hotel in no time. The train station right next to hotel to explore Oslo later on - again made me worry about noise, but boy, all those worries were for nothing! Those rooms built right! Soundproofed, with double Royal windows - you do not hear a peep from outside. No planes, no trains, just blessed quietness. (I want those windows for my house!) It is beautiful, modern hotel - clean, posh, friendly. It is huge! Loved the walkways with views to open area downstairs, makes whole space feel so much more inviting and easy to navigate. Restaurant and bar downstairs are pretty good, altho I could not explain to bartender what Brandy was, I settled on Cognac - and of course it made me pretty happy. Oh, and one simple thing you have to try in Norway - potatoes! Trust me, they are something else! After all that eating, head to exercise room, of course - the machines are rather beaten up, but it is spacious and kept clean. Always a good bonus at the hotels! read more

I have reached out multiple (3 times) and received no response. The hotel charged me for my stay, but I prepaid and booked through Hotels.com. I reached out for the first time, immediately the morning after check out on Aug 31st, when I revived the folio and charges. I was assured by the reception that this was simply a debit hold for any charges. I know that hotels do this, but I knew she was probably wrong. 2 business days later, the charge went through as approved. It's now 4 business days and I haven't heard back from 2 separate emails I sent them. I won't go as far as to say they are stealing, but at this point, it's extremely terrible customer service and negligence of hotel staff. read more

On a recent layover in Oslo en route to the states, we chose to stay conveniently close to the airport. We were booked into a Junior Suite and arrived during the evening and left the morning after. I found the service to be quite discrete which is fine, but at times it could also appear completely uninterested. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant - it was awful. Overpriced, low quality and subpar service. But this is an airport hotel and if you're in and out it definitely is 'good enough' with comfortable beds and quick check-in and out. read more

Called an hour after, reception said housekeeping would get it and hold until my return flight. 3 weeks later, the staff had extreme difficulty taking time to check the lost and found. 2 phone calls and a personal visit later I finally get a concrete answer that my item was 'not found'. One could not ask for a better location if you want to be near the Oslo airport. With the right winds it is within easy spitting distance. Out the terminal, turn right, turn left and you are there. The check-in ladies were excellent. Very friendly and efficient. The room is pretty good. A reasonable size with all the goodies. So far it seems very quiet which is great. The workout room is a great size with lots of equipment; however, the one elliptical trainer is very poor quality. If you like treadmills you are set. A great selection of free weights and machines and the wood floor creates a great ambiance. We went to the hotel restaurant, After Gate, for supper. The food was very good with nice size portions. We asked to split the salmon appetizer and our waiter brought us each a half portion on our own plates. Nice touch. The water was always filled and he was very attentive. The steak was a bit over cooked. It was medium-rare, as ordered, when it left the kitchen, but after sitting for a few minutes half of it was now medium. Very tasty and easy to cut when I remembered to turn my knife over and use the sharp side! The halibut was beautifully cooked with a wonderful sear on the outside; however not sure about the chorizo bits on the side. A bit hard. The one thing however that sticks in the mind, despite the good food and the very good service, was perhaps the most unwelcoming maitre d' I've ever come across. He had a surly look on his face, an unpleasant disposition. When we said "no, we do not have a reservation" (we had just got off the airplane and checked in) I'm sure I saw a sneer. Strange as watching the many others that arrived after us that also did not have reservations (we could tell as our table was out in the middle of the hallway by his desk (okay. Slight exaggeration) all got the 'look'. My point is that the many empty tables when we arrived were NOT reserved so what was the big deal. Really disappointing and just to repeat, probably one of the worse greetings we've had when arriving at a restaurant. The breakfast buffet was less than good. While on one hand there is a very good selection, the fact that much of the hot buffet items were not! The cold chunks of simulated scrambled eggs, the cool bacon, the warm beans and so on. The mushrooms were cold and hard. A nice selection of fruits and a machine to make your own orange juice was a plus. Our waitress did a wonderful job of cleaning plates and ensuring the coffee urn was full; however the disappointing food quality left the biggest impression. The airport is steps away and there is a train just outside the hotel that takes you right to downtown Oslo in 30 minutes.
