The food has a heavy focus on local ingredients, with flavors that are incredibly tight and well-balanced. The steak frites are so tender I'm pretty sure they were cut with a polite suggestion rather than a knife. The scallops are meaty and perfectly cooked. And of course the burger is absolutely mouthwatering and make it the tempting default option during each visit. The appetizers are all fantastic, Kat and the Korean cauliflower takes the cake! For desert, their house cheesecake is phenomenal, and their in house amber ale is full and flavourful. Our server was on the ball; the water was never empty, and the check ins were always at the right time. Verdict: 10/10. If you want western food with a fun twist and high quality ingredients, this is one spot you must check out!

I think I'd have enjoyed them much more if the sauce had been served on the side for dipping, but that's just my personal preference. The cocktails were a mixed bag. The Sunset Skies was easily our favourite and one I'd happily order again. Unfortunately, the High Noon wasn't for me--it had a very floral flavour that I found unpalatable. What really made the experience exceptional was the service. Our server was incredibly attentive and noticed that I hadn't touched my High Noon cocktail. Without hesitation, they offered to replace it with another drink of my choice and removed the original cocktail from our bill. That level of attentiveness and customer service really stood out. Overall, the food was enjoyable, the cocktails had a standout winner, and the service was outstanding. I'd definitely return, especially for the oysters on Wednesday evenings. Service was a 5/5.

The soondubu was a favourite, and although not the best I've had, and lacking a bit of heat for me, it was still very good, and my colleagues enjoyed the spice level. The bibimbap was good, not sure the bowl was hot enough, as there was only a bit of crispy rice, and the egg was a bit over. The gochujang came in handy again here, but the flavours in the dish and accompaniments were good. Same for the bulgogi...the best part of the plate was the buchimgae (pancake). Not that the bulgogi was bad, it was just good. We also had a maki platter not pictured that was decent as well. They have little individual table rooms (we weren't in one this trip) which adds to the authentic feel of the place. Service was good, though a little slow on the maki (hence no photo) A good introduction to Korean food for my friends, enough to inspire them to want to try more.

Step in and friendly salutations are offered, along with overheard lively conversations of happy patrons that have been looking forward to a night out. It's been a long few years, and Buvette has spent their time setting up and after only opening 8 months ago, they are shaking up the dining scene. The owner was cheeky and named them after businesses around the historic Village Square of Downtown Burlington. Obvisouly The Buvette Signature Share Platter! A mouthwatering board featuring steak, lobster, shrimps, lamb, and all the fixings.
