This review applies only to my experience with the counselor Katherine Rehg. It does not reflect on…read morethe quality of care provided by the other counselors at this location. I hope this review helps others in their efforts to seek help for their mental health. As for the counselor, I hope she views this as constructive feedback she can use to improve and grow as a mental health professional. Positives * Appointment Scheduling: It was easy to schedule appointments. * Response Time: The counselor responded promptly to phone calls, texts, and emails. Negatives * Punctuality issues: Appointments often started late, and on several occasions, I did not receive the full session time outlined in the paperwork. * Questionable Disclosure: The counselor frequently discussed other clients' issues, diagnoses, and medication regimens during our sessions, which raised concerns about client confidentiality. * Inappropriate self-disclosure: The counselor often spent significant portions of our sessions discussing her own personal issues. This made me uncomfortable and distracted from the purpose of our sessions. * Questionable behavior: The counselor frequently used session time to eat food, check her phone, book appointments for other clients, and collect their payments. This I found to be distracting and it made me feel like I was unimportant and my issues did not matter to the counselor. * Lack of accommodations: The counselor's phone would constantly go off during sessions, and loud music in the office was distracting. My requests to turn off the phone or lower the music were repeatedly denied. She would also give me photocopies from books that were blurry and difficult to read. When I would ask for a copy that was easier to read, the counselor would criticize me. * Inattentiveness: The counselor would constantly ask me to repeat things I would say and admit it was because she was not listening. She would often mix up my details with another client's details and try to convince things happened to me that did not happen. * Avoidance and lack of treatment plan: The counselor avoided answering my questions about her therapy methods and areas of specialization. She diagnosed me with several mental health conditions but refused to explain the diagnoses or provide a treatment plan. * Negative comments: The counselor would often make negative comments about my appearance, my wardrobe, and my prospects in life.
