It's like the work was done by anyone he could find with a pulse. Outlets were left in dangerous condition. The HVAC vents are from a laundromat. Our quartz counter top in the kitchen probably fell off a truck. The finish on it never looked right and it's still patchy despite best efforts to fix it. The staging people completely destroyed the interior (walls, floor) of the house when they came in to move everything out. A ton of garbage was left in the shed and the backyard that was supposed to be cleaned up. The rear gate fell over after a couple months. Pure trash. I regret buying this house every day I'm in it. Besides that he's great.

She knows her area, which is, wherever there's real estate to be bought and or sold . I loved how she was there early to the appointment or open house to meet the seller's agent. Janet's experience, knowledge and expertise is extremely valuable. If it wasn't for her vast knowledge of real estate- the law, construction and negotiating, I know we wouldn't be in the house we are in now. We closed in November 2025 in Lakewood. She had to understand how probate works and deal with 8 or more heirs listed on the property. This could've been a lengthy process and a messy one because of probate, heirs and the sellers wanting a quick escrow. She had the inspection, ALL heirs approval, negotiations completed within the three week period and the holidays going on. There were obstacles and a tight time frame, Janet was still able to get us closing costs, one year warranty and additional money for repairs. The seller's agent accepted our bid because of Janet and Harmon Homes respected reputation in the field. He turned down offers and other bids because of the trust and respect for her, from their initial meeting. We chose to use her recommended lender, who was available ANY time ANY day we had questions. We could've gone to our credit union, but each time we told the lender of the specials the credit union was offering, he "showed us " the small print. For the most part you had to use the credit unions services, realtor and insurance, etc. It helped out using the recommended lender when it came to a short escrow, he was able to immediately give Janet the requested documents when needed to expedite processing. It was honestly a painless process. We would ask Janet's opinion of each house we were interested in bidding on and she would point out the negative on items we didn't think of because we don't work in that field. It was not just the street the house was on but driving to and through the neighborhood, where is the house located in the neighborhood and what is it next to, how to tell if you need a new roof and if rotten wood was painted over or a wet spot was painted over. The best lesson was when there was an addition and she could tell if it was a quality job or if you'll have problems with it later, was it a step down or did they pour concrete to level the floor I would recommend working with Janet only if you want: Quality Honesty HARD WORKING Dedicated Committed No none sense Professionalism and a friend in the end. I forgot to mention in 2016 she sold my mother's home that had to go through probate, it was seamless. She and Harmon Homes are a well rounded agency. By the time we got to the property she and her team already had a good understanding of the history of the listing and were working comps real time to give us a clear understanding of what fair market value would be. We weren't certain if it was more of a buyer's market or a seller's market as it had been a seller's market for so long, but she explained the current conditions/trends of what she was seeing in the area and gave us EXCELLENT advice every step of the way. But she was also never pushy. She ultimately left it up to us to make the decision with the information she provided. We trusted her expertise and it absolutely paid off, literally. We got a deal on the property that we are very happy with. She offered great advice on everything from prices, timing, and even when to potentially walk away. Liz has a team of people that really seem to communicate as a team, not just a group of individuals working under the same company name. In passing conversations Liz talked about how she and her team work together, and it does seem like they get to share in each others expertise and experiences to develop a good understanding of the market. Liz also talked about what she does to train her team, and she seems like a great leader. No one looks left behind to fend for themselves, and it seems very structured so that everyone has support and training to deliver great customer service. We happened to meet the seller's Realtor, and even without Liz present, the seller's Realtor had nothing but great things to say about their interactions. Her expertise really does seem to be in demand as she seemed to be giving seminars or talks to audiences even outside of her team. Even with her busy schedule it never really impacted the scheduling of events at our home. She always still met us at the property for events like home inspections, walk throughs, and giving us the keys to the property. She always provided great communication and was very responsive whether it was through e-mail, calls or texts to help answer questions. I can be "particular" (picky) about some things and whenever I brought up a question or concern, no matter how small, she never dismissed it or tried to excuse it as something I didn't need to worry about. She took my concerns seriously and got them addressed. Out of everything, I think this is what I am most grateful for as it kept me comfortable working with her and I never felt like she was just trying to "close a deal", which was my preconceived notion of Realtors unfortunately.
