Popped into the store, not knowing what to expect. Wife and I were visiting Tucson for the gem show…read moreand family. We are gamers, so we thought it'd be fun to check out the local gaming stores. Polyhedron is a wonderful store! The staff are friendly and engaging and have a real passion for games. They stay open late and host a variety of regular game nights. The store has a wide selection of games from TTRPG to board to card. You'll find Pokemon, Magic, DnD, Shadowrun, Star Wars, and much more. And the accessories! They have their own branded products, which I found an excellent business model. On my next visit, I want to come over one evening and play a game with these fun people.

This was a $30 card at the time I bought it and now worth around $45. I had simply asked if they could rectify with another card of similar value to $30. Full story: I traded in my Gengar Vmax for a Rayquaza V with Eli. That card ended up being fake/ counterfeit. I tried to go back and see if they could fix it for me, they refused, the manager Chris acted like it's impossible because he's 15 years in the business. He said he "wanted" to fix the issue but said he was not going to give me a card of equal value and offered no solutions because he said he could tell I was frustrated. I think anyone who finds out they traded a real card for a fake one would be frustrated, after essentially being told they must be lying. I never cursed, and although I do have a loud voice in general, I never raised my voice at them. Since Chris looks at every Pokemon card himself before it gets put on the shelf (as he told me himself), and he never misses one, I'm left to think they must be intentionally selling off decent quality fakes trying to scam people who don't know any better. Can't speak for magic but I'd recommend not trusting any Pokemon cards from here. Don't be like me, always check cards with a flashlight even at game shops. In response to the stores remark: Since their trades have no receipts or documentation. They leave you with no way to verify on purpose so they don't have to accept any liability. Also, if I was the one trying to scam the shop, it would be for a lot more than $30. There are better card shops in town, I'll have to avoid this one I guess over a measly $30.

My friend and I came in here briefly to see if they had a specific item (they did not, but thats…read moreok). The person helping us out was really nice and told us when we could check back to see if the item was in stock. I also walked around for a few minutes. There was a special buy one get one 50% off sale going on which seemed like a good deal. I didn't have a lot of time to browse though, so I did not take advantage of that sale. Hopefully they'll have it again soon! This Barnes and Noble seemed like any other one. I would come back here if I was in the area.

What a surprisingly large, two-story BN here in Tucson. I was weirdly surprised by how small the…read moreHarry Potter section/supplies were. Maybe interest is waning. Anyways, I stopped in for a journal and found a beautiful blue leather lined journal with a fleur-de-lis on the cover. Then I stumbled across a "part-time" adult daily planner that was undated. Normally I wouldn't go for undated but this one spoke to me. The store is laid out really well and is very spacious. I appreciated the small Hanukkah display that was available. This is where things went a little sideways for me as I looked at the items on display. Two parties have a responsibility here, the buyer, Barnes & Noble, and the supplier, Paper Source. I'm so confused as to why either party believed an ornament was appropriate here. For what? We don't have anything or celebrate for which we would use an ornament. A Hanukkah bush is not a thing. The other thing that confused me was the with challah. Such weird items for Hanukkah. There isn't nor should there be an equivalent for every Christmas item to Hanukkah. They are not the same thing and there is no equivalence. Other than these weird Hanukkah items, if I were in the area again and needed to come back to BN, I would definitely stop in here. And per contract/usual, there was a decent sized Sbux cafe inside the store. One which I will never visit since I do not give my business to Sbux.
