This place is like a Goodwill, but it's smaller. It's still very nice. I usually can't find anything here, but just recently I scored. I got a $200 peacoat jacket for $31. I have been getting compliments at work at how nice it is. My sister got a pair of boots that she wears all the time. Would I go back: I usually do in hopes to leave with a few items. I took about $500 worth of clothes to this place, one being a $300 purse. I would call once a month for 6 months to check to see if they had sold anything of mine and if they had money for me to pick up. Every time they would tell me "not yet". After 6 months of this, I called and she told me that I signed something that states I have 6 months to pick up my money or they don't have to give it to me. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO MONEY!!! It's not right, they owe me $100 at least. They lied and took advantage of a young girl. Don't let them do this to you. read more

I wish I had read many of the Yelp reviews about this consignment business I arrived about a half hour early and my appointment was at 10:30 and she said"see you at 10:30!!asked if there was a coffee shop around and no suggestions,but while walking around water stree found a nice little bakery right across the street! Run by two young friends I called today to get my clothes back so I can go to another consignment store and she told me no!! Aren't they my clothes??? If you need a few nice Talbots pieces head over there!! I do not recommend this place. read more

My goodness I have been going to this place ever since it was located where present-day pastaz is currently located. This new location is very spacious, and very clean. I haven't been in there for a while due to the fact that I haven't been finding as much. Every time I do go in a lot of the same stuff is in there. Also there is some stuff that can be a bit overpriced, for example the American eagle jeans that are separated from the other jeans tend to be around the 12+ dollar range. I know that it's picky, but sometimes this stuff seems pretty worn out. I do like the jewelry display case and the window displays, they tend to catch my eye, I have had numerous finds. All the good stuff is by the windows for all to see. It's nice to see businesses last in Gardiner! read more

Same items seem to always be there. Owner has an attitude. They absolutely cannot tolerate a negative review, comment or criticism ( or even agreeing with a someone who has one) but they have a review button on their site. Think about that for a minute..... Folks , it's a consignment store- not goodwill. Read the contract and understand this, you won't be making any money but the owner will. If you are a customer understand this (because there are multiple signs all around the store as the owner points out) you cannot return items you have purchased. It's a lose/lose situation and there are better consignment stores in the area. Not a fan of this place read more

If it were possible I would give a rating of -5. The customer service is absolutely disgusting. While standing inside with my 3 year old child I over heard another mother comment " look how f-ing cute these are" to her company. Mind you she whispered it. As a mother if she were out of line I most definitely would have spoken up. But as it was she was whispering and a very happy woman. I didn't see the issue. But however, the worker who's name is Bobbi in a extremely rude tone told the full grown adult to whatcha her language!.... hmm. Then when the woman apologized and told her next time not to be rude. Bobbi kicked this mother out of her store... I will never bring my business back to this very poorly run business again. Love bugs in augusta has same products and better service. read more

I used to shop here now and again, before I discovered how they can sell stuff so cheap---they rip off people who consign! They have written some very clever stipulations into their contract to prevent people from actually getting paid the money they are owed. I consigned a bunch of swath of brand new items with tags. I came for a payout the last day of the "season" (after which they keep all of your consignments to sell as they wish without paying you). They will accept your items a day before the end of the 'season' without saying a word, and you'll have forfeited everything and wasted your time. They told me that it is in the contract that you can't ask for a payout the last day of a month. Therefore, they kept my money and my stuff. It felt a lot like being robbed. I'm sure they claim that they pay that money out when it comes tax time---very shady business. The shop really doesn't have a lot to offer either. I will not support a shop that treats people so poorly. Local is good, but bad business is bad, local or otherwise. I will donate to a good cause next time. read more
