The old store felt a little cramped even in the bigger area upstairs. Their new space is inviting and the yarn is just as scrumptious as always. I went in looking for small-diameter circular needles for socks to finish a rush…read more gift project. the store owner was very helpful and recommended a new brand --LYKKE driftwood needles, in 9 inch diameter. just perfect for socks and mittens ! I'd been using 12 inch diameter, a little large for my projects, and had tried 5 in diameters -- too small . don't waste your money on amazon, ordering chinese junk 5 "" needles. come to Oakmont yarn where they'll know exactly the right needles you need. (I've been knitting for decades. And I never knew there are 9 inch circular needles. . . )
