When you walk in and your shoulders relax and you sigh, you know you have found quilting Nirvana. It is well laid out, there are a lot of fabrics and a lot of choices. If you're looking for early Americana stuff they got it, if you're looking for the latest Tilda fabrics they have it. A lot of places will specialize just have very modern fabrics and batiks, this place has that and 1930's prints. It has notions, and batting. And long pull bag zippers. And a lot of by Annie patterns -- love those bag patterns! Pittsburgh has lost a lot of of their quilt stores, so this is a bit of travel. It's an hour to get there, but Trax farms is nearby, and they have a pretty epic deli, and also just over the hill on the next big road V&V Scratch Kitchen. Both really good places for lunch, V&V is a little bit more expensive. read more

My happy place! They've got plenty of patterns, a lot of fabrics in a variety of style, from batiks to Americana, and the staff is welcoming and very helpful. They also have a card system for the yardage that you purchase, that gives you some good buys after it's filled. They also have a thing if that you buy the end of the bolt you go in for a drawing for some free yardage. Your pick! read more

After participating in a recent Quilt Hop and visiting eight different shops in one day, this place was number #1 for me. They have such a huge selection of quality fabrics and the layout of the store makes it easy to browse. The store is well lit and shows their products to the best advantage. I could spend a lot of money here. The staff was especially accommodating and friendly. I needed some assistance picking coordinating colors and these experienced ladies knew exactly what would work. I anticipate another trip down here even if it is over an hour away. The quilts on display go from more traditional designs to modern quilts. Any quilter would not regret visiting here. read more

Quilters Connor has an extensive stock of the most exquisite quilting fabric I have ever seen. They offer new lines as well as my favorite fabrics from Kaffe Fassett. Their store is a feast for my eyes! The staff is friendly and helpful to new quilters like myself. They also offer classes and have a lovely weekly newsletter to keep you in the loop with new items coming into the store. I love this shop and can't recommend it highly enough. read more

Just a warning to those with asthma COPD allergies and breathing difficulties. I was just in there. They request that you use the hand sanitizer. It is not sent free. It is a strong flowery smell. I could only stay a few minutes in the store after I used it. I was afraid I would have an asthma attack before I got home. A business should know better than to put that out. It is a health hazard. Crabby ladies! We were never greeted or spoken to all the while we were in the store, well, except we were told to use hand sanitizer. Years ago the shop was friendly. Not anymore. I made a comment on their FB page that I didn't like a printed fabric they were selling and was told they turned me into FB for bullying. If you don't like a certain print, don't let them know. They are quite sensitive. They should turn off the comment option! It will be awhile before I shop there, if ever. read more

Went there last week for the first time specifically for Christmas fabric but also wanted to check it out, having heard about their great selection from others. I read the previous review posted in April and, at first, I thought I might have a similar experience. However, as my friend and I struggled with final selections, the saleswoman very helpfully came over and made excellent suggestions that helped me wrap up my order. My impression is that they are happy to help but do not want to be obtrusive. I'd like to make a few more trips before making a final decision but this first experience was very positive. The selection of fabric is simply fantastic, and it was difficult to walk out without buying more. The shop is about an hour drive for me, so I won't be going often but I will definitely return! read more

Quilter's Corner is the best quilt shop in the area. The selection is huge. There's something to fit everyone's taste. The store spacious, clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there's plenty of parking. They also offer a great variety of classes and block of the month clubs. read more

any reviews about unfriendly staff are shocking to me. i went in and basically said "I'm new to quilting and hardly know anything about where to start." They talked with me for an hour about pointers, guidance, where to start, advice. i signed up for their summer quilt-along with encouragement to come back often for more advice and updates. i feel like I walked out with a teacher I can go back to & feeling like it's possible for me to learn this skill. super encouraging staff! read more
