I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was and of the many washing machine and dryers it had inside that was almost like New in how well kept they were. The Laundromat opens early in the morning at 6:00AM, and it closes at 10PM. It has plenty of parking spaces outside as well as fast food restaurant near by for one to get a bite to eat while doing their laundry. It has an ATM machine in case one needs to get money as well as two change machine in case one needs change to work the top of the line commercial washing machines and dryers. It also has a laundry soap washing machine where you can purchase small boxes of laundry soap for individual loads of clothes. It also has special laundry wheel carts where you can place your clothes from the washer to the dryer, and the take the dry clothes to one of the folding tables to be folded. For your convenience it has clean Public Restrooms for you to use while doing your laundry as well as a soda machine in case you get thirsty. To entertain you while you're doing your clothes, it has several.TV that you can watch while sitting in one of the chairs provided. They have small and larger washers and dryers, that one can use depending in the size of one's laundry. The machines are very clean and there is a lady in charge of cleaning the dryer's filters daily and of cleaning the interior of the place. Just by observing all that I did, I have no hesitation in doing my laundry there and would highly recommend this place to all those who need to do there laundry in a Laundromat either for the time being or forever.

Mentioned that it would be nice if the shirt cuff had a third button, and they let me know the seamstress was out. I told them I needed an under 8 hour turnaround, as I had an interview the following morning. They agreed to rush it, without charging more. Picked up my clothes at 4 PM, paid with my card, found out that they'd added the third button to the shirt cuffs. I paid under $10 for all of this. Needless to say I know where I'll be getting my Easter suit cleaned. :-) 4/5 because the pants weren't starched (miscommunication but still), and it was hard to find their prices and hours online.

The only possible drawback is that they close at 2pm, which makes it necessary for me to go there on my way to work. Now I have to gather up all my dry cleaning... Never did I imagine that it would be the quality and convenient laundromat that I discovered it was. Located at 1718 Bennington Sreet in the Southeast area of Roanoke, Virginia, it is right next to the Shell Gas Station on the same street which I reasantly reviewed on Yelp. The first thing I noticed was the clean and modern looking brick building painted in gray with tones of blue and white, surrounded by a sidewalk, and with a private lot parking all around it. Its outside building sign beside highlighting the laundromat's name, it made sure to point out that it was "OPEN 24 HOURS," and later I found out the for 7 days a week. I parked my pearl white Lexus on one of the parking spaces on the side of the building and entered through the side entrance. Clearly written on the glass door was their phone number and some of the rules required to use this laundromat. Also there was a notice posted that it had 24 Hour Video and Audio Recording. So one could see that from the very beginning it set the tone for the expected behavior inside. When I entered, I found the place clean and well-maintained, with the latest in modern machines, with many small and large capacity washers and dryers, including a "Hulk" washer for up to 90 lbs of laundry. Another thing that captured my attention immediately was that they no longer used coins. It had a new system of reloadable laundry cards, which you registered and used to pay for the washing and drying of your clothes, as well as for having complimentary access to their restroom if you were a paying customer on that day. It was a little confusing at first, but the instructions for purchasing a card, filling it up with different amounts of money from one of your credit cards, and using the cards in the washers and dryers wear so clear that it became simple and very convenient to use. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and many of the items I am mentioning in my review. To make sure customers registered their cards correctly, they are having a Free Laundry Giveaway where they would be giving away $25 in Laundry Credit to 4 customers every month, and winners would be notified with their registration contact information. The instructions of amounts and how to use the cards were very clear and one could also ask one of the steady customers and they were more than happy to explain. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon around 4 o'clock and there were only two more customers doing their laundry. I was told it gets busier in the evenings and on weekends. Although the place offered a family-friendly environment with amenities such as a soap center, folding tables, seats to wait on, a restroom, a sink outside the restroom, and a play area with movies for children, it lacked Wi-Fi access, TV screens for customers to watch TV while they waited for their clothes to be ready, and I even didn't see too many plugs to be able to charge one's cellphone. On the positive side the lack of the above mentioned open doors to be able to talk and interact with customers. I met one of the cooks for Sidecar Restaurant, one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Roanoke, and was able to find out first hand interesting information about the restaurant and its menu. I was able to wash and dry my 3 loads of clothing very well, and will consider returning here even after my washing machine is repaired at times when I have large loads of clothes to wash or large items such my bed comforter, quilt, mattress protector, throw blanket, or duvet. And I highly recommend this place as a clean, safe, and convenient place to do your laundry.

Contacted Amy Henley on 02-25-2026, 03-12-2026, and 03-18-2026, no responce to calls or text. Had to reach out to another tenant in the building to find out when she would be there. Went and retrieved my items on 03-18-2026, none had been done, was NOT offered a refund on the $300 I paid her. She just asked me to leave them there so she could finished them, she hadnt even started them in over a month!!! WOW!!!!

After ten days, I texted Stitch Dr. asking the new estimated pickup date. She did not reply. On December 3 she responded to my call, telling me that she had been in Richmond, and that her workspace had no heat and she could not work there. I gave her another 43 days to resolve her difficulties, and then called her phone number on January 15th, 16th, and 21st, each time leaving a voicemail asking that she facilitate my picking up my jacket, repaired or not. She did not reply to any of my calls. With severe weather conditions approaching, I decided to go to her shop unannounced to retrieve my winter jacket. I found the door locked, and no lights on. On my way out, her landlord was in the parking lot, and I asked if they knew of any reason Stitch Dr. might be unable to communicate. I told them the story of these delays and her failure to communicate, and after providing them with a detailed description of the jacket, the liner, and even an Italian Lira note sewn into the liner, they escorted me to her shop where I spotted the leather of my unrepaired property on the bottom of a tall pile of garments stacked in a chair, not even hung up as would be proper and expected. I retrieved my property just in time for the approaching Winter storm. Her landlord said there had never been a problem with the heat in the building. She still has the $60.00 I paid her. After 72 days of waiting for her to answer calls and texts, I mailed her a synopsis of this debacle and a stamped, self-addressed envelope so she could effortlessly send my $60.00 to me. 35 days later, she has not responded.

This dry cleaning business has been a staple if the neighborhood for a long time and is run by a charming, helpful staff. I've been taking my work shirts and pants there weekly for the past decade and I have no complaints. No matter if I have special requests in a drop-off, they always come through. There is a laundry facility in the building next door. I can't speak to that, but it always seems to be busy, do it can't be that bad. If you need cheap, reliable dry cleaning, this is the place in NE Roanoke!
