Wonderful retreat center in a lush area with forest and hiking opportunities nearby! I attended a retreat at Rainbow Lodge and was very happy with my experiences there. The place was kept clean and it was a relaxing and still private environment that you can just enjoy the time privately with people in your group. I also really appreciated the staff. They were friendly and on top of things. The kitchen crew, in particular, really made sure to accommodate everyone with various eating restrictions. The food tasted good and was served family style. Everything tasted good and I really enjoyed it. I definitely would love to have the opportunity to wind down and come back to spend some more time at Rainbow Lodge Retreat Center again in a future. read more

This was my first time here and I can't wait to come back for another retreat. The food was amazing, like five star quality at a resort which is really unheard of unless you're paying out the Nose for a spa retreat. I heard that in the past it was buffet style and I'm so glad they don't do that anymore and it's done family style. Family style just gives you so much more style and time to really commune with those you're there with. I hate buffet style meals, to me it's very wasteful and academic. I was there to visit and make friends and being able to eat and share food around the like family was sooo more relaxed. You could tell by all the laughter and conversations going on around us also. The benches all over was nice to go and be able to chat with friends or just sit in quiet by yourself. Super comfy beds, slept like a dream. Oh I also loved that coffee was made super early in the morning and was kept full all day so you could get coffee or tea all day long and they had clean mugs for you to use. Which were nice cus you definitely knew which mug was yours by the design and was easy to track where your coffee was. Everything was super clean and nice to be able to relax and enjoy the company of those I was there with. Loved that there are dispensers of shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the showers. This is a must stay place for retreats or large family gatherings. read more

This place has changed so much since the last retreat I went to here (which was 2019; I have attended retreats here for many years). I understand a new director will want to make some changes but don't fix what isn't broken. "Family style" meals may make sense for a post-Covid word in a financial sense, but food selection and portions were just weird & sad. People going there year after year have expected food to be a certain way. It's one thing to serve entree & a side, but there are things and ways things were done before that just made sense. For example, lunch and dinner used to always have garden salad and it wasn't premade up with dressing already on it, instead it was always up to the individual person to put what they want on their salad. And there was always multiple sides, because you know what? Different people like different things. PEOPLE LIKE CHOICES. Not everyone wants to eat the exact same thing. Breakfast used to always have additional things that people could depend on like yogurt, cereals w/ different milks, fruit -- not anymore. Sure they'll meet the needs of vegetarian, vegans, dairy free, etc, but that's it. Everything else and you are out of luck. Sensitive stomach? Can't have spice? OUT OF LUCK! Everything is too seasoned, very spicy, and salty. This is a retreat center not a trendy bistro; STOP TRYING TO BE WHAT YOU ARE NOT! Up until this past weekend I have never gone to a retreat at Rainbow Lodge and starved. I spent so much time going into town to get food just to not feel sick from not eating. Time I was supposed to spend at my retreat! You really want your guests to have to leave property (& leave their retreats) to get food elsewhere, Safeway, Jersey Mike's, QFC, etc? It doesn't feel like a retreat if you are going out to find food at 10pm. There just isn't something for everyone anymore. Also the tables are too big to have conversation with anyone around you. Everyone was yelling across tables at each other. It was loud. And guess what? When people yell, saliva flies -- really in bad taste in a post-Covid world to have that going on over the meals that are served family style. It was incredibly loud environment. Every meal was loud like a school cafeteria. It isn't pleasant to be enjoying a meal but having to yell across a table if someone asks you a question. I miss the intimacy of the smaller tables. And no more dining in the Sun room. It was such an inviting place to enjoy a meal or just a hot beverage & conversation. Super sad to not have that available; they seem to be using it as a greenhouse. What a waste. The bedding is much fluffier than before and that is a change I think anyone can get behind nor do they want you to make your bed up when you leave which is a much overdue change. The body wash/ shampoo/conditioner in the showers is a light & refreshing blood orange scent; it's very nice. The detached showerheads were also a much needed improvement. Again. Don't change what doesn't need to be fixed. Changing up things so much is not good customer service. read more

Our organization just hosted our annual women's retreat and as an organizer I couldn't have been more pleased with the Lodge. We love all of the upgrades Brandon and his team have made. The beds are 100% better. They have new matresses that are very comfortable and beautiful bedding giving it a fancy feel. The food was by far their biggest improvement. It used to be served buffet style and was our group's biggest dislike. It was served family style which allowed us to continue our conversations without forming a line and waiting for the whole group to get through it. I rather this than everyone touching the serving utensils and talkng over all the food. The staff take care of everything. Our group has a lot of vegetarians and Chef Luke was very creative in his dishes. They were sooo tasty. He made sure that there was something to eat for everyone with a dietary allergy. From the coconut curry to the lentil soup to the chicken salad, every bite was delicious. They also have a full size refrigerator for guests that like what they like. Very convenient for late night snacks etc... Coffee, tea and drinks are served all day. Showers are equipped with shampoo and body wash both which smell lovely and refreshing. They also provide large soft towels for our convenience. They provided the sound system and everything else we needed to conduct our event. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We look forward to continuing our 30+ tradition of hosting our retreat at Rainbow Lodge and to the delicious meals that Luke and his team prepare. read more

This place is a very special slice of heaven. I wish I could live here!!! If you're looking for a space to have your next retreat, Rainbow Lodge is THE place to go. The quarters- Everything is so well kept and clean! Each room has a beautiful forest view, and I was super impressed with the comfort of the bed and pillows. You do share showers/toilets, but each room has a sink and a mirror, which was nice. The restrooms were impeccably clean and were kept that way during our entire stay (with like 40 people). That's really saying something. The layout of the space is also really good for group activity and just hanging out. Since the rooms are a little separate, you could easily have a rowdy group in the common area and dining room while others slept peacefully in their rooms. Everyone wins! The scenery- STUNNING! It's right at the base of Mt. Si with some lovely little trails that take you near a waterfall and into the lovely woods. They have great spaces set up outside to enjoy the scenery, and they have benches tucked away along the trails so you can really enjoy the beauty around you while having a comfy seat to sit and stare, journal, or whatever. My pictures do a much better job of explaining the incredible beauty of this place. The food/service- I was worried about the food; mass cooking can go terribly wrong, but not here. I was impressed at how tasty everything was. My favorite was breakfast and the pasta buffet. All of the staff were super nice and helpful from the planning stages to the very end. If you can manage to snag a week or weekend here, it will truly be a treasured experience. I absolutely cannot wait to find an excuse to get back here! read more

Was lucky to spend a bit of time here with a group of women and it was perfect. The rooms are exceptionally clean and do not feel campy at all. The staff are very kind and hospitable. They made our stay very welcoming. They cooked great meals for us and I loved the endless and always-available coffee and tea. If you are looking for a picturesque relaxing lodge with horrible food and bad customer service for your group this is the place. The lodge itself and the area is beautiful, beds are comfortable and plenty of room! However, staff makes you feel that you are an inconvenience to them and for the weekend we were there, half the meals were ok, not great but could eat them and the rest were not edible. One meal we were served fatty/chewy chicken thighs with no flavor, with burnt/hard cookies for dessert, one of the breakfasts was burnt, hard as hockey puck biscuits with paste like gravy and chewy sausage links. The food was all over-cooked and the "chicken" we were served was rubbery and had fake grill marks. I was here for a CSTP event. The location is beautiful as it is nestled at the base of Mt. Si. The cedar building is cozy and a great place to engage in some professional development. I enjoyed my stay in the unique rooms. Two twin beds and a full size bed in a loft. Not sure if I will ever be to another event here, but I would jump at the chance. read more

Beautiful, quiet surroundings, away from major highways. Our group enjoyed short walks to waterfalls. The rooms have twin beds with pretty quilts and extra blankets. There is a sink in each room. The closed-stall showers are in the main shared bathrooms. Towels are provided. There are gas fireplaces and comfortable seating in the common areas The food is institutional/cafeteria quality, but since I only stayed one night, it was tolerable. They will accommodate people with food allergies. The dining room was pleasant with views of the surrounding forest. This is a non-profit retreat center, not a full-service hotel. We were required to strip and remake the beds before leaving and bus our own tables which was not a problem. read more

I attend a retreat with a women's group every year at Rainbow Lodge. It's a beautiful place to have a retreat. The lodge is comfortable and secluded, the staff is very accommodating, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I wish to comment on the food, as others have complained. The food is tasty, simple, plentiful and definitely not gourmet. Think of it like camp or cafeteria food. If you don't like the cooked food, there are plenty of salad options to make a nice meal. Remember that this is not the Ritz. If you want deluxe, go someplace much more expensive. The food is fine, the lodge is affordable, well-kept, clean, quiet in a beautiful environment. What more could one need? There is also a refrigerator if you must bring your own food. read more

I love Rainbow Lodge Retreat Center. We have had couple's retreats, board meetings, and women's events there. Our Women have been having their retreat there for at least 10 years. I never pass up a chance to go there. The area is so relaxing. We have had women attend just to relax and they never attend any of our meetings, even tho they are well worth it. The staff is top rate. The food is always great. They even cater to the different diet challenges of many of our guests..
