I want to share my experience.... If you are a working family, especially a working mother this is NOT the place for you. Be prepared to pay over $300 and then take care of your child for weeks. Be prepared to take off lots of days. Between my husband and I, we took about 10 sick days in a span of 2 months. I would say 2 of those days were essential and I understood that my son had to stay home. They made me feel as if I was incapable of taking care of my child, or that I did not have the best interest in my child, and that I was lying just to take him to school. The director told me, "had a teacher not told you that your son had a bad cough, you probably wouldn't have done anything about it." Take this as you will, but to me this was such an insult to my capacity as a mother. My son entered when he was 6 months old, and I understood that he was going to get sick because it was his first daycare and also his older sister started 3K. I was called to pick up my son early due to a nasty cough. I completely understood why I had to get him and I brought him immediately to the doctor. The doctor reassured me that it was just a viral infection and that within 2 days he should be fine to go back to school. I even got him tested for Covd (he was negative). The daycare wanted to know exactly what he had (even though that violated our HIPPA rights). So I took him to another doctor for another opinion, she said the same thing. That it is difficult to know what exactly a baby this young has but that as long as he tested negative for covid and isn't having a fever he should be able to go to school. Not only did I have to provide a doctor's note, I also called the manager while I was at the doctor's office so that they could believe me. My son got sick again (not surprising). I did the same steps as before, took him to the doctor and got him tested for RSV, Flu. and Covid. He was tested positive for RSV. The doctor ressaured me that within 5 days he could go back to school. I kept him home an extra day just to be safe for him and everyone else. The doctor also reassured me that his cough would linger for weeks. So sure enough, I provide a note stating that he is negative for Covid and the return date. This again is not enough. They want to know the exact diagnosis and they said that they do not want any symptoms. But they also attempted to be helpful by saying that they will work with me only if his cough wasn't so alarming or consistent (very subjective). Then they started complaining about his loose stool. He is 6 months old. All he has is formula and purees. Plus he is teething. It is very normal (and again I took him to the doctor to reassure me that this was normal), for babies to get loose, sometimes very loose stools. I know I am his mother. But my son truly is the easiest calmest baby. I don't know if it was something against him or us. But it was clear to us, my doctor, and any other friends that I spoke to about this, that they wanted us out. My son was always happy when I took him and when we picked him up. The app is great and they will inform you of feedings and sleep. They will occasionally send you 1 picture a day. Sometimes they would send 2 other days they sent nothing. But the consistent witch hunt to find something wrong with my son was disturbing. He is now at a different daycare. They love him, I get multiple pictures a day, and no complaints!!!! Last time they called me during work, was to ask me what puree they can buy for my son! I had brought him when he still had his lingering cough. I explained to them what the doctor said and offered a note stating that he was no longer contagious and they completely understood. read more

This is the best daycare/nursery/preK in the Bronx!!! I enrolled my son when he was 7months old - 3yrs old, the only regret I ever had was pulling him out to send him to St. Theresa PreK (definitely not as warm and loving as Rainbow Palace). My son never cried going to school. The staff is so attentive. They have numerous activities for children. The attention to detail in making sure each child learns is amazing. The staff is super friendly and loves each child like it is their own. Never had my child come home with a diaper rash. The staff (especially Mrs. April) is super clean. Rainbow Palace is a family. I miss them and so does my son! read more

Our family cannot say enough great things about this daycare. Before coming here I researched and visited other daycares in the area. We had never visited one that treated our baby like Rainbow Palace does. She is in a loving and nurturing environment... just as close to her home environment as possible. She gets excited each morning when we pull up and as we enter the daycare. She loves it there and they love her. In the few short months she has been there she has learned so much. Standing, her first words, singing, clapping, sharing! The list goes on and on. I get updates on her days and thorough notes each night. Any questions or concerns we may have are addressed promptly. I travel often for work and know that she gets extra love and attention when I am not in town. We are so excited for our baby to learn more and continue to grow over the next few years at Rainbow Palace. read more

This is hands down the best daycare I have found. I had my son enrolled for a year and a half and the only reason why I took him out was because we had to move to a different state. This daycare has definitely set the bar high. My son has been out of this daycare for almost a year now and still talks about how much he loves it and if he can go back. This isn't because he thinks his current daycare is horrible, regardless of what I think of if, but because that's how awesome Rainbow Palace is. No facility is perfect, but the time and dedication Rainbow puts into their facilities is breathtaking. I definitely wish there was a place like it in NJ. Curriculum, care for the kids, cleanliness, food prep and their beliefs are amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my child to be and better people, Marilyn and Artiana to help care for my child. read more

The detail and care for the everyday involvement is what keeps me loving Rainbow palace. I wouldn't trust my child going anywhere else. my daughter was treated like she was apart of a family, which made her want to go to school everyday. Rainbow palace is a wonderful place for my son. He is barely 3 mos and I had to unfortunately return back to work 6 Weeks postpartum. The only thing that relieved my anxiety was the fact that I knew my son was going to be well cared for. The staff are kind and friendly and always contact me regarding any little thing. My son looks forward to going and at times starts to cry when we pick him up! I can't wait until he's older and gets to participate in all the fun activities I see the other kids do. read more

My children attend this daycare and I will have to say that it has exceeded my expectations as compared to other daycares. The staff is always welcoming and loving to my children. They have an app where parents are able to see pictures of their children completing artwork, puzzles, arts and crafts and playing with their peers on a daily basis. The daycare is always clean with accessible hand sanitizer pumps on the walls along with making sure shoes are not worn indoors. I will definitely recommend Rainbow Palace to anyone looking for a happy, educational, clean, safe and enjoyable environment for a daycare. read more

My child attended this daycare for several months. Bottom line is if you care about quality and honesty this is not the place for you. The owner of this daycare will put on a show and make this place seem like heaven on earth for our babies. But the truth is, it's not. She'll hire just about anyone, all of her best staff have moved on. The staff is underpaid and overworked. What does this have to do with the kids? Well these are the people caring for them. All. Day. Long. She was even desperate enough to hire somebody back that she had previously fired for mistreating the children. My advice when choosing a daycare for your child, choose very wisely. Don't believe everything you're told. At the end of the day this is a business. You're going to be told everything is "rainbows" because without your child there is no income. I found that in this daycare, you only see what they want you to see. And that was extremely disappointing. My child would cry and kick and scream when it was time for daycare. A 2-3 year old should never have such anxiety. When weekends would come, my child would cry and tell me that they didn't want to go and they were scared. Etc. it was a complete nightmare. Also, this environment didn't seem to be stimulating enough for toddlers. Past teachers would tell me that the toddlers would become bored easily. Especially on days that going outside wasn't an option. All the "organic cooking" was also a disaster for my child and others because the food was nasty! The kids would not like most of the menu options. So they wouldn't eat. My child LOST WEIGHT during our time here! If I didn't send snacks my child would starve. & LICE?! For about a month or two, there was lice on the kids and in that house on and off which was extremely stressful! Every other day we were told that the children were cleared medically and the lice was gone. Then just like that they were back. The owner also portrays herself to know just about everything. If she would take the time to realize that she does not & that parents just want to be told the truth about their kids, her daycare might just be worth a shot. But for me and mine, and several others that I have spoken with, this relationship just wasn't worth it. So... NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE. & don't believe the hype about the waiting lists and so on. Please! read more

As I search for a childcare center for my nephew, I feel compelled to leave this review to warn other parents. This use to be a great place, however, a lot has changed which is why I had to remove my child from here. Although the owner Marilyn makes it seems like she is involved in this day care and teaching, She has no involvement in this day care. In fact, you will probably never see her or even hear from her. She has a group of young girls running the day care and some who are inexperienced and don't like being around kids. When my child first joined Rainbow Palace, there was a lot of teaching that took place. My child was engaged, challenged and happy. However, that ended up changing. Towards the end, my child was bored. Whenever I dropped off my child late and picked up my child around 430pm, I found the kids just playing. No teaching taking place and no homework given. My child enjoyed doing homework at home which was a great opportunity for me to see what my child was learning. However, that came to an end. While they do arts and crafts with the kids, nothing else is being done. It's just a free for all in there. The food menu that is posted online it is a complete joke. It all sounds fancy as if your child is eating a hearty meal, but they do not follow the menu. Instead, quick fix meals are made that aren't hearty for the kids. One last thing to add, I witnessed one of the employees change a poopie diaper and she did not wash her hands! Unbelievable! read more

I can't even put into words how happy I was with Rainbow Palace. Our daughter enrolled at 10 months old when I returned to work and I immediatley felt so comfortable I didn't even call to check in on her. The staff was so amazing and loving that I trusted them from the very beginning. You should consider yourself lucky having Marliyn, Atriana and her fantastic staff care for your children; She is a true professional. The daily care given to not only my child but to all children is phenomenal. My child began walking and speaking at a very early age, her vocabulary and knowledge grew more and more thanks to the excellent teaching by Atriana and all the staff. The meals and snacks provided to the children are exceptional and makes us feel better knowing she is eating healthy and properly. Our Daughter now 5 just recently enrolled into Pre-K after spending 4 1/2 years with Rainbow Palace and her teachers were amazed at how much she knew before starting school; writing her full name, full-knowledge of her letters and numbers, and even reading some short sentences. She is excelling in school and it's all thanks to Rainbow Palace. Leaving Rainbow Palace was truly a hard thing for not only us but our daughter; the relationships you make not only with the staff, but with the other parents and children are truly like our second family. We still get together from time to time with Marliyn, Atriana , and the families for birthdays and holidays. We truly love Rainbow Palace and would recommend it to anyone looking for a childcare. read more

My son has been attending Rainbow Palace since he was 2 years old and 3 months. He will be 5 years old next month. To say Rainbow is anything less than a wonderful and safe place to leave your child is an understatement. The owner and the manager are very loving with the children. My son loves going there and if there is a problem or his day isn't good, he always tells me about it (and never had it been anything major). They are great teaching and preparing kids for pre-k and kindergarten. If you just want your child playing and doing "toddler things", go somewhere else. Rainbow focuses on teaching, as well as fun times too. Birthdays and especially the holidays are great and all the kids look forward to it. A very good friend of mine had to take her son out because they moved to NJ. It's been a year, and, although he's adjusted and happy, there's no comparison because Rainbow set the bar very high. My son will be back next year during the summer when kindergarten is over because we love it THAT MUCH. read more
