The teachers are well trained, very caring and warm. They truly love the children and it shows. My twins love going to "school" everyday. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and my children have learned so much. I love that the children go outside almost everyday, which I think is very important. I get daily emails that keep my up to date on my children's daily and weekly activities. This daycare feels like a family and I have never once worried about my children while at Rodi. I looked at a lot of daycare centers for my younger child recently and NONE compare to the amazing care that my twins get at Rodi. I highly recommend Rodi Daycare.

For starters, the facility is clean and inviting, but the staff and teachers make this place go round. Jade and Tarika are incredible directors. They are always available for a chat - about both good things and concerns - and take the time to get to know each child. They are also extremely vigilant about when a child might be sick, which I appreciate. Additionally, they are responsive via email. I know that if I have a quick question, they are ready, willing and able to help. Lastly, our son loves his teacher, Miss Gia! He has never cried once when we drop him off and a huge smile comes onto his face when we walk into his room! The kids are kept busy (we love the art projects that come home!) and are cared for well. All of the teachers there have really impressed me. Now really the last thing - there's an app that we follow along with each day. It logs everything that is going on with our child, which for a parent, is a god-send. And there are cute pictures sent throughout the day. Both my son and my daughter have received an excellent and safe education here at Ivy Prep in the Bronx. When my child was interviewed for kindergarten, we were told that she is well prepared and will be ahead of her peers with the education and preparation she has received here. My son began his journey with services like OT; PT and SEIT at Ivy prep. They were able to accommodate his service providers within their building and my child was able to receive all of the support he needed. In the Throggs Neck community it is wonderful to have a place like Ivy Prep to prepare your children for a bright and productive future! Highly recommend!!

What an incredibly structured and consistent daycare. The way they tend to children and any parent concern is mind blowing. They properly feed and genuinely attend and teach children here. Kids literally cry cause they never want to leave at the end of their day. And in the morning when my daughter and I drop off the they express so much freaking happiness to see the daycare employees. This woman has harassed us multiple times after asking to please stop, with text messages and calling my husband at work. This would be infuriating to anyone and is completely unacceptable. My daughter is 11 months old and this daycare provider expected my child to be "independent" because she cried too much and apparently just likes to be held. My daughter was only there for FOUR days and she is making these remarks since her third day there, attending part time. This provider should learn more on separation anxiety, the use of walkers in her daycare, and TV usage on kids. As a daycare provider, she should be more aware of the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP). TV usage is not recommended for infants, such as walkers, and maybe learn a thing or two on what separation anxiety is and how to help a child and parent cope. I dont recommend this place unless your newborn, infant, or toddler is independent, and doesn't cry. She is lazy and just wants a paycheck, if you have too much to say about the welfare of your child, she calls you demanding. This woman is rude and I can not believe she is in the field of working with children. Edit to add: Also, she doesn't respect my daughters allergies. During the interview process , I told her my daughter can not consume dairy, and has a special formula called Nutramigen, that I provided. She gave my daughter yogurt and cheese and who knows what else. And when I tried to explain to her that it was medically necessary, she asked me how would I know that if I never tried. My daughter was very sick from CMA very early on, so for her to question me over what my daughter has to eat, was a little alarming. This lady needs a lot more education on kids. I am enraged and disappointed in this daycare. I would never recommend this place. I have copies from the registration process where it was written to you that she is in on a special formula due to dairy allergy. I also have text messages and photo of my daughter in a walker and asked you to take her out because there is risk of dangers and you said no, its okay because i am watching her and its good for her legs. So please do not write here, that you do follow the recommendations of AAP , because when I mentioned it to you and my husband, you had no idea what that even was. With the milk allergy, you didn't even understand what I was telling you. You are very misinformed and will come up with excuses to save yourself. You need to be able to listen to parents. You talk over me and expect someone to still be patient. You call someone demanding, when you do not like what has to be said. My daughters schedule is different from the other children because she is still an infant and takes two naps a day and drinks formula every 4 hours as well as solids at different times. These were things all discussed during the interview process and nap times and meal times were written as well. This is all in copies from the registration process. If the provider did not agree with this, she could have let us know at the time of the registration. I had to bring an updated copy of the schedule to explicitly let her know that she can not consume dairy. She never asked for a different letter about her dairy allergy although it was mentioned multiple times during the interview by my husband and I. Her formula is prescribed and covered by insurance because it medically necessary. Our daughters lunch and formula was provided by us because this provider told us she does not give her her own food until 12 months, but this was not the case, which is why we constantly had to reiterate what our child needs. This business may have been around for 14 years but obviously they are not updated on health risks and how kids learn developmentally. There is no quality at this daycare.
