The instructors are great -- they know the kids by name, they're attentive, and they're always nearby, keeping an eye on things while staying involved. Whether it's indoor games, arts and crafts, or outdoor play like kickball, handball, jump rope, or their own custom CREEKERS-style games, there's always something active and engaging happening. I asked my child what she thinks of the instructors, and she had nothing but good things to say. And we've even met other parents who were part of CREEKERS nearly 30 years ago -- that kind of loyalty says a lot about the program and the people behind it. Our daughter started at just 3 years old, freshly potty trained, and transitioned more easily than we expected. In the first year she enjoyed school, and in the second year she really blossomed--literally running towards the classroom in the mornings. Watching her grow into her own identity, separate from mom and dad, was amazing. As parents, we valued the chance to volunteer in class and see her development firsthand. We even took on the role of school webmasters in our second year. Juggling schedules wasn't always easy, but it was worth it. My child was once mistakenly marked absent and then denied her school lunch despite being clearly present. Rather than acknowledging the mistake and addressing how something like that could happen, the focus immediately became that my "words made staff uncomfortable." The same pattern repeated when trying to address failure to accommodate my child's documented doctor's orders. Instead of solutions or collaboration, concerns were reframed as me somehow violating policy or making staff uncomfortable. Even basic concerns about teacher behavior are turned back around onto the parent rather than handled professionally. Management is extremely difficult to deal with because ELOP operates separately from IUSD, and unfortunately the standards, professionalism, communication, and accountability feel significantly lower as a result. Parents should understand that raising concerns here often feels less like working with a child centered program and more like navigating defensiveness, excuses, and policy shielding.

My kids love playing on their playground. They have real objects like walkie talkies, a phone-booth setup which serve as reference points to give a better grasp of history when they get to school. Ms. Megumi does a great job of maintaining the garden. There are bugs, butterflies, seeds, and plants the kids interact with, and the kids even get to eat vegetables from the garden. The school community puts real effort into family events. The Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and the Christmas Fair are fun for both kids and parents. While the cost reflects local market rates, this program is supplemental.

We enrolled that fall in the 3 day a week program M,W, F. He loved the school, and loved his teachers Miss Miki and Miss Marisela. It felt very magical from the beginning, from the fantastic play yard to all the smiling faces and happy kids. We knew early on how much we enjoyed the school so we enrolled our youngest daughter into the Parent/Toddler program as soon as she was eligible at 18 months. Miss Colleen was wonderful and we faithfully did every session until our daughter was 3 and old enough for the main pre-school program. And she started her pre-school at 5 days a week right away because she was so prepared and ready for it thanks to all of her time with Miss Colleen. Our son went up to 5 days a week for his pre-kindergarten year. He had Miss Tami and Miss Miranda and our whole family loved Miss Tami so much. We started feeling that sense of teacher loyalty. So we admit we were secretly hoping Miss Miki would be our daughter's pre-school teacher too because we were so happy with her, only to find out that Miss Jaime was the perfect match! Our little one blossomed so much during her year with Miss Jaime and Miss Cherie. We finally realized ALL of the teachers are fantastic. So as she was cruising through her pre-kindergarten year last Fall with Miss Betty and Miss Lisset, our family was beginning to feel nostalgic and the distant sting of not having Child's World in our life anymore after 4 wonderful years. It has been a pleasure dealing with everyone at the school from Miss Cindy to now Miss Mai as well as Miss Kelly and Miss Donna, the administration team has been steady, professional and helpful. We also want to give a special thanks and mention to the wonderful other teachers on campus like Miss Cece, Miss Carolina, Miss Amber and Miss Megumi who also made a personal stamp on the hearts of our kids. We loved all the events for the whole family especially Family Fun Day in the Spring and the Christmas Fair and Pancake Breakfast. Both of our kids always took part in the chapel days as well and they loved it, but we never felt any pressure to participate in church events. We can truly say that our experience with Child's World has been one of the best things about our life as parents in Orange County after moving here about 6 years ago. Being away from his school really affected him I think as tantrums multiplied. He was starting to progress finally and the nature and play based program they have is incredible for kids so missing that friendship time was something he didn't comprehend. His teachers Miss Marta and Miss Libby went above and beyond to do video "circle time" with the kids during the heart of the pandemic. Now that safety measures have been instituted and the school has reopened we have noticed a marked improvement in his expression and behaviour. Let's face it, it can be hard to have the structure at home for learning especially when you have an even younger one to boot. It is an incredibly welcome relief to have such a great place to watch over and teach our children. I had meant to post this last September but forgot and since then the school and community has been through a lot! We are so thankful the school survived the fires and the surrounding community came together to help each other during these crises. We had to pull our son out of school because of financial hardships, which happened to coincide with the fires and raging pandemic, but hope to have him back to see his friends soon.
