Phenomenal cleaners. I came here with a white men's jacket that had some sort of stain on it. I went to the cleaners down the road from Rainbow first, and after TWO attempts they STILL couldn't get the stain out. I came right to Rainbow and after one attempt they were able to get the stain out! 10/10 would recommend. Don't bother with the cleaners down the road from them. read more

The lady in this shop, the seamstress is very rude. I've been here twice. The first time, a year ago, I needed a dress altered and she told me she didn't know what I wanted her to do about the dress and she proceeded to tell me that she was busy because it was prom season. Her tone was so dismissive and unkind. I was desperate because the dress was for my birthday party so I left it. I went in today and told her I needed her to fix a new dress and explained how she'd help me before. She said she didn't know what I was talking about and said I don't know what you want me to do. I walked out this time. This lady is so rude and I will not accept being spoken to this way while bringing money into her shop. I will never set foot in this place again and will tell everyone I know in this area not to go there. Unbelievably rude. read more

Beware. Brought brand new pants in to be hemmed. When I picked them up the owner pointed out damage that was clearly a dry cleaning burn (melted hole in the pants) and tried to blame it on a manufacturer defect. Refused to take accountability. Rude. No integrity. Many other options in the area - stay away from this place. read more

I decided to check the Sat. hours and saw these 2 bad reviews - both from 2016 and from people living in CT. Not sure why people from CT. are reviewing a store in Somers NY. Perhaps they work in the area or they are posting to the wrong Rainbow cleaners. This store IS NOW computerized while most in this area are not. They are in the same shopping center but in a different spot that looks GREAT. I have been going there since 2000 and think Maria is terrific and very skilled. I use them for dry cleaning and alterations. I have had evening gowns, suit jackets and pants altered with best results. Only once did she make a mistake in hemming my pants to the wrong length but re-did the work for free. A few years ago she raised prices for alterations so I decided to try another cleaners nearby. BIG mistake . The price was slightly less but the work was awful - so back to Rainbow cleaners in Somers. read more

This family owned business could be great. But unfortunately it's not. I used to be a regular but the problem is they aren't computerized at all. Every ticket is handwritten. There is no past record of your orders. And with the handwritten tickets I have been overcharged THREE times. At least they tried to. I caught it each time. Three strikes and you're out! The excuse was "oh...it looks like...." That's no excuse. Learn to write legibly or learn to read your own handwriting. That is no way to run a business. Especially when there are two other dry cleaners within walking distance. I've been to the other two. I would suggest going to them instead. read more

As soon as he walked in the woman there told him I'm not sowing that and don't have your friends come here either. My husband never been at this place before one of his friends recommended him because we leave close to this place She is nasty and rude human being. I won't NOT recommend this place. read more

My wife and I have been using Maria's Rainbow cleaners for at least fifteen years and are totally satisifed in every single regard.

I have used Rainbow both for alterations and for dry cleaning for many years. Maria is a real pro who is thoughtful and considerate. I completely disagree with an earlier review. I have *never* found her to be rude or even mildly abrupt. My late husband was also a big fan of hers/Rainbow. Wanted my view in Yelp and to support Rainbow.
