I brought in a very expensive Calvin Klein trench coat to have the sleeves taken up. I put it on there and they pinned the sleeves to a spot we agreed on. I picked up the coat and brought it home to find the sleeves are too short (and I'm only 5'2" so that's saying a lot!). They definitely took off more than we agreed on. I now rarely wear the coat because the sleeves ride up well above my wrist when I move my arm, and it makes me feel like a tool. And they are pricey-- I spent $25 on a dress in a thrift store, but then it cost $50 to fix a zipper and hem an inch. Hudson View Cleaners in Croton on Hudson is excellent because they have very high standards. Sweaters, coats and drapes brought in for dry cleaning always turn out looking new but I am most impressed with their tailoring. Any time I have brought them a garment to be altered I am very happy with the results. When I asked to have the sleeves on a quilted jacket shortened I expected there to be a simple hem, but instead, the tailor replaced the piping on the cuff which is a lot more work. That extra step made the jacket look very high end and I was very pleased. I only go to Hudson View Cleaners and I recommend them all the time. read more

I bought a secondhand wedding gown and it had a huge (unadvertised) stain on it. I brought it here and they cleaned it so thoroughly, the dress looks brand new. I could not be happier. I also brought two bridesmaid dresses and three suits here and they all came back sparkling clean. This dry cleaner is my go-to place whenever I need my work suits and dresses cleaned. Somehow my whites come out brighter and cleaner than other places - some kind of dry cleaning wizardry, no doubt! They've always done a really nice job with whatever I have brought in, and even saved a bridesmaids dress I thought was done for (beach weddings are bad news for hems). Great service too! read more

I have been using this cleaners for about a year now. They have always had providing affordable pricing, attentive service, and great care to my clothing. When I dropped off clothing last week, I had a few pieces of clothing with oil and wine stains that I was worried that would never come out. They were clear to communicate that they might not come out since the stains was not removed in over a month, but those stains are completely removed now! I also have a delicate shirt with tiny nicks on it from wear, and they sewed it up carefully on their own, so that the nicks wouldn't turn into holes. They also have very quick turn-around of same-day service. Highly recommended. read more

My family has been going to Hudson View Cleaners in Croton-on-Hudson for a couple of decades for our dry cleaning and tailoring needs and in my opinion it is the best one of its kind in our long experience of dealing with cleaners in Manhattan and Croton. The quality of work and and customer service are exceptional, which makes the prices they charge seem quite reasonable. Paul and Mindy are kind, upbeat and professional. Hudson View Cleaners in my opinion is one of the best cleaners in the area. I have been a client with them for about 4 years now, I have never been disappointed. The staff is great as well as the owners, very courteous and nice. It's not only the dry cleaning but the tailoring as wel. I had brought a pair of jeans that needed the zipper to be fixed and when I got it back, it looked better then how it was before. There have been other situations that I've brought clothes with hard stains and they made sure they would do what ever they could to take them out. The owners were so friendly to take my dress and make sure they got it done on time before I flew out. They returned my dress without a mark. read more

I received a call from owner, Paul, from Hudson View Cleaners earlier this month. Apparently he had read my review on Yelp and wanted to know what happened and what he could do to rectify the situation. I explained what happened (again) and told him that I had been a customer for years and was basically called a liar by his partner when I pointed out the discoloration on my jacket in an attempt to clean it- and that was unacceptable. He apologized and asked me if I would stop by so he could see what he could do to rectify the situation. Mistakes happen and not all stains can be removed- I get that, but treating a customer the way I was treated is not acceptable. I thanked him for his call and told him that I appreciated his reaching out once he was aware of the situation. I don't think there is anything he can do to fix my jacket at this point but based on his call I already feel a little better and felt I should change my review accordingly. I plan to stop by this week with my jacket and will post an update if necessary. read more
