On the drive there we decided we would see if we could stay two nights instead of just the one. When I was checking in with the camp host I asked if we would be able to stay two nights. She chuckled and said "hm, probably not, were filling up quick with the car show coming. Check tomorrow when I get back from Seattle around 12-1." Unfortunately, we were going to be heading to Seattle at that same time and wanted to know sooner than later if we would be able to stay. Nothing else in the area would fit our rig (43 ft) so we had to wait. At 1 o'clock she got back and we asked. She made it sound like it was no problem at all to extend. She said to bring her $40 cash and she'll get us extended. While we were doing the paperwork, she made a comment about how she was being nice and only taking $40 instead of the $45 since we didn't take care of the extension on Friday (it was Saturday now). I was a little irritated with that comment since I had tried to take care of it on Friday when we checked in and I told her that but she didn't care. The spaces were cram packed. We had to fit between two cones with the slides out. luckily we didn't have neighbors but some others did and they were pretty much touching each other it was that close. also, the lights in the park are basically street lights and they don't turn off at night. It was so bright in our rv we had to cover the windows with blankets just to be able to fall asleep. I wouldn't stay here unless absolutely necessary.

They are located in a great part of town. John is the best example of great customer service. He took all the time needed to answer all of my questions. He was also available to give my husband a tour of what he had available on his lot. They provide 24/7 security which was one of the main reasons why we chose to store with them. Sure, there are cheaper places to rent from, but no other lot out there could provide the type of service and security that John does over at Cobalt!

If you are a female, or travel with a female, beware. There is a man by the name of Ron ("Ronny") Sykes who lives right next to where trash needs to be taken out, as well as the laundromat. He also happens to be the maintenance man, and has access to security cameras. I am a travel nurse who travels alone by RV and was sexually harassed by this man. I will not get into too many details, but it involves being texted while he was most likely under the influence of alcohol that he wanted to "kiss your good looking p****y". This was also from an alternative phone he owned, and would not disclose his identity. I figured it out on my own. He is 78yrs old, and I am 30. Tell me that wouldn't make you uncomfortable! After reporting this incident to management, PD, and taking him to court, he is still a member of this community and continues to live there without consequence. After the fact, I learned that I was not the only single woman who had reported this behavior to management only. I, like everyone else paid for my background check, and credit check. Unfortunately, this was a person who happened to be someone who had never been reported to authorities by anyone other than myself, to my knowledge. In terms of my credibility, I am a forensic nurse and am knowledgeable of the appropriate steps that needed to be taken. I encourage those who consider this establishment as a place to stay, to be weary and cautious.

Each site is nestled among the abundant evergreen trees, giving each site its own unique shape and beauty. Deer and other wildlife creatures are frequent visitors, and fun to watch. During our time there we saw several generations of deer wander through. It was fascinating to see their sense of family and how each generation stayed together, once the babies were old enough to separate from mom and dad. Many types of birds also passed through. More than once we had peacocks wandering down the street, strutting their beautiful feathers for all to see. With so few sites, neighbors get to know each other and longterm friendships develop. People frequently gather during nicer weather to enjoy each other's company. Those who prefer solitude are also able to find it. The owner is nice, and easy to work with. He stops by routinely to make sure all is well, and to resolve any issues that may have come up on your site. The park is located at the back of a gated community of very nice, large homes. Being part of a gated community provides a sense of security. If you are looking for a place to call home with your RV, the Buttes RV Park is a fantastic choice!
