The staff at Sun Outdoors is friendly and the sites are nice albeit closer together than most of the other parks we stay in. The park is in a nice location close to downtown Gig Harbor. Unlike the previous owners you can reserve online which makes it so much easier. My biggest complaint is the price. This is by far (at least 2x) more expensive than the typical park we stay in. Over $100 per night for two nights ($220 or so). There is also no cable TV but they have a free video library which we didn't use. For the price there should be cable TV (and a perhaps a masseuse who stops by daily for free massages lol). Note: some of the negative reviews complain about the bathrooms being under construction and having to use temporary bathrooms which reportedly were not clean. Some reviews complaining about "3 bathrooms for 115 sites". Although whether there are 3 restrooms or 23 they should be clean - of the 115 sites arguably 110 rigs parked in these sites has a suitable bathroom and shower built in with sewer hookups so I don't think it's a fair complaint. I never visited the bathrooms on site because I have my own and I'm sure most people that stay here will say the same. We'll be back, but not as much as we used to stay here since it's too pricey to stay more frequently.

Each site is nestled among the abundant evergreen trees, giving each site its own unique shape and beauty. Deer and other wildlife creatures are frequent visitors, and fun to watch. During our time there we saw several generations of deer wander through. It was fascinating to see their sense of family and how each generation stayed together, once the babies were old enough to separate from mom and dad. Many types of birds also passed through. More than once we had peacocks wandering down the street, strutting their beautiful feathers for all to see. With so few sites, neighbors get to know each other and longterm friendships develop. People frequently gather during nicer weather to enjoy each other's company. Those who prefer solitude are also able to find it. The owner is nice, and easy to work with. He stops by routinely to make sure all is well, and to resolve any issues that may have come up on your site. The park is located at the back of a gated community of very nice, large homes. Being part of a gated community provides a sense of security. If you are looking for a place to call home with your RV, the Buttes RV Park is a fantastic choice!

Had to walk back from the venue (Their site says its only 2 miles away but its actually double that) and when we arrived back to the campsite, we were welcomed by a guy shouting (I'm assuming it was the owner) that he was going to shoot us and the campsite was closed. Between all the emails, text messages. and phone call attempts, we were never told that the campsite was closed. The other group of people we ran into were also never told the campsite was closed. We came back to find out we just missed the shuttle. Ric, the owner, happened to be walking by and he offered to run us down in his car. I thought this was a great service to offer after the hard work he had done that day, getting everyone registered and settled in as they were all there for the show too. This place is brand new and Ric and Rebecca will be improving it more and more each year but for a new business they have won our hearts and we will be back for future concerts.
