UPDATE: ANIMAL CONTROL WILL BE HERE SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO CLEAR THAT SHE IS OKAY! LINDY HAS…read moreAPARENTLY BEEN CALLING NON STOP FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS, PER ANIMAL CONTROL THEY JUST WANT THIS DONE WITH. I WILL UPDATE AGAIN AFTER SATURDAY. After having a dog for almost 3 months she finally escaped our yard and ended up stuck in a neighbors yard. Lindy the president of this rescue call me accusing me of animal abuse, our dog had maybe been out 5-10 mins after she had escaped our yard. She claimed shed send us the number who contacted her but never did. The photo she recieved of our dog was a poor photo as I sent her a time stamped photo right after WE found her. This still was not good enough she instited she needed to see her and that she was driving to our home to see he, we where currently out of town with all of our dogs. When we stopped replying she began to text and call us stating that she now has the police involved and animal control. So my fiance called her and told her we where out of town with our dogs and would not be home until late that evening. She stated that we where under a legally binding contract and that she could take the dog back when ever. But just a few weeks before this situation she had bit my fiance and after asking her if she had a bite history she claimed that no she did not take dogs with bite historys. We love our dogs we feed the best food we can afford we provide vitamins and supplements to all of our animals. We went as far as to way her she is 45 almost 46 pounds which is very healthy for a mini bull terrier. She has built muscle tone since we have had her and been in training for her nipping. We live a very active life style and it shows on our dogs. We in no way abuse our dogs we love them like children. But now we have to worry if Lindy is suddenly going to show up and take our dogs because we have cameras that show a car sitting outside our home. Im sad that I never got a chance to read these reviews before now and am truly disappointed we have kept lindy update with photos everyweek and then she has the nerve to accuse us of abuse. I have pictured below a photo of our dog that was sent to her and then a time stamped photo from when we got her back that same night along with several other time stamped photos of her.

Pets Without Partners - top left picture is when pets without partners had her. She is much happier and healthier now. Will never adopt from from PWP again!

Update: downgrading this to a 1 Star since Laura, the owner of PWP, voted this as "funny". I don't…read morefind it funny in the least that you overcharge for unhealthy dogs. We adopted our dog earlier this year and boy was it a wild ride for our first dog we've ever owned. I will say that I absolutely love our dog, she is the sweetest girl in the world and I wouldn't trade her for anything or anyone. I have no regrets in our decision to get her, but it was a rough Our dog was in heat when we got her. PWP said they only had her for a week and apparently they didn't have enough time to get her fixed. Part of our fees paid covered her spay, so we had an appointment scheduled with Haven. Haven called us a few days later to tell us there was a mix up in scheduling and we couldn't get her fixed on the appointment day PWP setup, so her surgery was pushed out even further. We took her to Care Vet (which btw, is amazing!) to get her checked out and apparently she needed a few shots that weren't administered by PWP. Not sure if this is standard protocol but seems a bit crazy to ask $300 for a dog that PWP had in their possession for 1 week, didn't spay, and apparently didn't give all of her shots. Within the first week of owning our dog, we noticed worms in her stools. At this point I was very frustrated. I explained that she was in heat, she had worms and we were frustrated. Laura then tells me that our dog gave birth to puppies (mind you she was only 8 months old at the time of adoption) and that's why she was bleeding. There's no way our dog gave birth - so I told her I think she was confusing our dog for a different dog (she later confirmed she did). Being a new dog parent is hard enough, but to have a dog in heat and with worms was even more overwhelming. We did not feel very supported by PWP through this process. Laura came off really cold Andrade me feel like I was upset for no reason. Here's a line from her email: "I'm sorry that this seems to have been a difficult adoption for you, we want our adopters and our pets to be happy together. If this is not the case, please make arrangements to return your new pet. I will make sure you receive your refund." Instead of being accountable for the issues we inherited and encouraging us through them, we were offered some generic message about a refund. Of course I didn't want a refund, I love my dog very much, and I have no regrets of overcoming everything we have together. The fact of the matter is that the prices and service are absolutely outrageous and I would never get another dog from PWP again. This makes me sad because I've been following PWP for a long time on social media and always said I'd get my dog from them someday. But I'll never recommend PWP to anyone, and I'll never get another animal from them again with this kind of practice. I will say the volunteers were all very sweet, especially Sarah, so that's why this is 2 stars instead of 1. TLDR: Be honest with your adopters. Respond with warmth and encouragement to their concerns, instead of a refund. Fact check before you follow up with concerned pet parents. Be more reasonable with your prices (a dog you had for a week and didn't get fixed really doesn't need a $300 price tag). If you really want these dogs to find homes, make it an affordable and attractive option for potential adopters.

DO NOT ADOPT A PET FROM PETS WITHOUT PARTNERS…read more We adopted an adorable dachshund from here a few weeks ago. The Pets Without Partners website claims "All of our pets come micro-chipped, vaccinations and a clean bill of health." Guess what. They lie. Our poor dog has tapeworms (they said they had dewormed him) and HEARTWORMS. Treatment for heart worms costs $800-$1500 and the "insurance" that he came with will not cover it. When we called Pets Without Borders we were told that they will cover the deductible of $75. Thanks. I'll see you guys in court.

I really had to turn and just walk away at the insolence and entitlement they dishing out on me, and now I see poor treatment of others as I read yelp. Where is the suprivisor? I know 12 year olds that could have handled that office and my request much better and with a smile too! I realize that they couldn't take the kittens but to deliver the news in such a way, NEVER Again, don't walk, run from this place...That being said, Hubby and I adopted a 116 pound 8 month old dog over 15 years ago and she was one of the doggie loves our lives, 12 years we loved her, and the poeple that were there were the best! I expected the same quality, what a disappointment!!!

When the shop is full they don't always take donations so calling in advance and asking is best. I've never seen any animals at this location - like animals for donation - so there's no cat pee smell. They do have a nice section of almost new animal items - bowls, leashes, collars, beds. My understanding is proceeds go to support their animal adoption services. I think what they are trying to do reminds me of when Haven Humane was small out on Placer road. Another Chance is a nice alternative for a place to take donations and deserves a shot if you are looking to adopt.

I was outside looking at what was on the racks, two people came out of the store and started to take things in, so I walked away, because the women looked at me very strangely, she did not say a word to me if they were closing early. There was 10 minutes left before 3:00pm. I had noticed they locked the doors and shut off the open sign. So called and asked why they were closing so early, the women said she had help there and she wanted the other employee to take things in so she would not have to left anything. I asked to speak with a manager, and she responded that she was the manager. She talked over me, and she kept raising her voice giving all kinds of excuses to why she was closing early, which made me raise my voice. So, I hung up. This place has really gone downhill really. What they sell there are clothes that should be recycled or thorn away. Everything is in bad shape. And, the people who work there are very rude. Not at all friendly.
