UPDATE: ANIMAL CONTROL WILL BE HERE SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO CLEAR THAT SHE IS OKAY! LINDY HAS APARENTLY BEEN CALLING NON STOP FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS, PER ANIMAL CONTROL THEY JUST WANT THIS DONE WITH. I WILL UPDATE AGAIN AFTER SATURDAY. After having a dog for almost 3 months she finally escaped our yard and ended up stuck in a neighbors yard. Lindy the president of this rescue call me accusing me of animal abuse,our dog had maybe been out 5-10 mins after she had escaped our yard. She claimed shed send us the number who contacted her but never did. The photo she recieved of our dog was a poor photo as I sent her a time stamped photo right after WE found her. This still was not good enough she instited she needed to see her and that she was driving to our home to see he, we where currently out of town with all of our dogs. When we stopped replying she began to text and call us stating that she now has the police involved and animal control. So my fiance called her and told her we where out of town with our dogs and would not be home until late that evening. She stated that we where under a legally binding contract and that she could take the dog back when ever. But just a few weeks before this situation she had bit my fiance and after asking her if she had a bite history she claimed that no she did not take dogs with bite historys. We love our dogs we feed the best food we can afford we provide vitamins and supplements to all of our animals. We went as far as to way her she is 45 almost 46 pounds which is very healthy for a mini bull terrier. She has built muscle tone since we have had her and been in training for her nipping. We live a very active life style and it shows on our dogs. We in no way abuse our dogs we love them like children. But now we have to worry if Lindy is suddenly going to show up and take our dogs because we have cameras that show a car sitting outside our home. Im sad that I never got a chance to read these reviews before now and am truly disappointed we have kept lindy update with photos everyweek and then she has the nerve to accuse us of abuse. Lindy Turner who runs the rescue is simply amazing. She goes above and beyond for all her rescues working tirelessly for these miss-treated forgotten creatures with love and compassion. As far I am concerned she loves, sleeps, thinks and breathes dogs and then some. I adopted my Nyx (female Doberman-shepherd mix) in 2021 and saw first-hand how she tried to ensure that Nyx was fine after I took her home. Seriously please go anywhere else we adopted a dog and reached out because we had become concerned of her behavior she had severe anxiety when we left instead of helping they said we had been a risk to the dog and wanted her back. A dog my children love and grew attached to they tried to pull the contract on us which mind you we never signed because their only two workers are so busy getting their money from these dogs they never got around to sending it out. Honestly I hope you guys lose everything you deserve nothing. I hope our pup is so much better off in a home with 30 other dogs as you stayed you had. They commented on my review to say that dogs are dewormed more than once, which is true - but they are not given a medication to kill all worms (it does not kill tapeworms, which are carried by fleas). They also do not give the dogs flea preventative, so the dog came to me with both tapeworms and fleas. this rescue contacted me and offered to help my puppy but only if i surrendered my puppy to them. i said surrendering her to a rescue is not an option for me. in the middle of my questioning her and explaining to erin that surrender was not an option and i asked her why she couldn't help with providing care for my puppy's fracture. she hung up on me ! i will never do business with this rescue or erin. she can go fuck herself to the moon and back! she wants to help animals, she isn't helping by offering help only if i surrender my baby to her! the best thing for any animal is to stay in the home they already have! not be removed and used to make $ by selling! i wrote her this email after she hung up on me: i don't understand why you can't help the puppy but you wanna sell her and make $600 by selling her through your rescue? you offer help but don't wanna let her stay in the home that she does already have. your so unethical and unreasonable! and rude for hanging up me. go fk yourself! read more

This woman (Lindy) is a psychopath I adopted a dog from her and after reading some Yelp reviews and noticing the dog I picked up wouldn't move, eat, drink, and had a blank expression I simply asked, if she had any health concerns. She responded by deciding I wasn't a good fit, yelled at me called my mother and landlord and packed up her dogs to drive all the way out to Sacramento to come retrieve her. I asked her to give us a day to see how she adjusts and when I texted her telling her that following day to tell her that the dog was adjusting well, she again gave me attitude, told me that I did not in fact adopt the dog but I was just a foster, and claimed the dog was her property and instructed me to bring the dog to yet another shelter for her to pick her up. I've personally visited the Redding location and have networked many dogs that have been saved by this rescue that would have otherwise been euthanized at a shelter. This rescue saves the underdogs - the ones that are overlooked because they're different, or they're old, or they're surrendered by their owners because their breath smells. They're saved, given the care they need regardless of cost, and sometimes are adopted to carefully screened homes. Sometimes they're just given a safe place to be loved and to live out the remaining chapter of their life. I saw mini horses that had been abused before being rescued - one of which wouldn't come near any person because of past abuse. There were several dogs that were recovering from various health issues, or hoarding situations, or abuse that were happy and playful in the open environment. Their life clearly changed for the better after being rescued by Lindy! I've helped with adoptions for a couple of rescues. I know the adoption rates aren't understood by a lot of people (like referred to in another review), but I also know that in most cases the adoption donation only makes a small dent in the vetting costs paid to help the dog get healthy. Dentals, spay/neuter, vaccinations are the basics that can easily exceed $1000 - tumor removals, medications, other medical needs that are involved in rescuing seniors add up very quickly. Adoption donations and fund raising help to rescue more animals in need - there's really no profit in rescue! But I digress. From my personal experience, Casa de Love Rescue goes over and above in rescuing animals that are overlooked by other rescues. This rescue is the real deal! read more
