Abysmal treatment and professionalism by staff I dealt with in the extended process of arranging to see my urologist. This is not healthcare. It's obstruction of healthcare. After receiving an appointment confirmation call the day prior and making the appointment over the phone far earlier, I was notified just 56 minutes before on the morning of the appointment that they were lacking a particular order code and were canceling the scheduled visit. They shared this without apology for the major inconvenience. I'd altered my work schedule and postponed a flight in order to take the confirmed appointment date, yet they seemed impervious to any complaint over the matter. The repeated criticisms of the office are warranted. They have no empathy or professionalism when dealing with terminally ill patients . It took two calls after being referred by my doctor . They would not schedule an appt for my father that was referred . Stating he must have certain medical records ! Made another appointment with his primary specified they won't give an appointment unless I have his medical records . The doctor so upset gives me records and states you tell the front desk workers which was a female don't recall her name and the So Called Manager Manuel was just as rude and unprofessional . The front desk people make you feel like your scheduling appointment to visit an inmate at a correctional facility . They show no compassion for the patients which is sad . Dr Greg Rainwater has been my urologist since 2002- I'm a kidney stone guy so I'm in his office twice a year. I have yet to be treated poorly in any form or fashion by any of his staff. They always smile & say hi and I feel kinda like they know who I am already, even if they really don't. I appreciate them for taking care of me. Sometimes I think that behavior is mirrored- meaning if you're rude or mean to folks- they come back at you kinda the same. I would give it 0 stars if I could!! Had an appointment at 1045. We arrived at 1030 and checked in. It's already been 2 hours and still waiting. When I ask I get told " we are surgeons" like that suppose to help at all. There's no place to sit. They front desk is super rude and not helpful. If you can avoid his doctor then do it!! Find another urologist. They we'll treat you right and you won't have to wait for hours!!! Just right now someone that came an hour after us just got to see the doc and I'm still waiting. I love Dr Rainwater. He is forthright, and doesn't keep you in the dark about your condition. I had an appointment regarding a vasectomy reversal he performed on me. He caught on to something else when asking me questions, then did a test/ultrasound and found out I had an enlarged prostate. All within 5 minutes. Without his keen awareness this might have been an unknown. I now have relief from the feeling of a small bladder of which I thought was normal. He will joke with you, and be honest, and feels like a real person on your level. Some people don't like that, I can see them needing a more stoic dr. I've also called in for a prescription refills and have never had a problem picking them up from the office staff. So, my surgery experience was good with a quick recovery and I've had good experiences with his diagnosing ability. I am a 43 year old male and consider myself a perfectionist, and would recommend Dr. Rainwater. read more

I went to Dr. Rainwater after getting criminally attacked at Fresno State. My assailant tortured me by stabbing me with a knitting needle and a small artist's tool for clay. My bladder was punctured and the ureter was stabbed in the side of the pipe, so I thought modern stem cells would repair the damage. Rainwater not only did not refer for regenerative medicine, he actually made it worse when he pressed his cystoscope into my prostate, causing pain like being kicked in the privates. This was what went wrong on this programmed visit, I saw the signs when his assistant had carvings on her face and then Rainwater did as well. These two are gotten to, so avoid them. While the Doctor is fine, his staffing is terrible. I called in to change an appointment for a June date and was put on hold for 8 minutes and 49 seconds after giving the staff member the information I needed to change an appointment. Finally a different person picked up my line and asked if I had been helped so I had to go through all that again. I complained to her and she said they are always short handed and maybe I should talk to the doctor about it when I came in. So I told her instead I want to cancel the appointment and say goodbye at the same time. At 2:45 pm I called again and was assured that she would call me by the end of the day. I asked what time the "end of the day" was and was told 5:00 pm. Wonderful Doctor, helped my Dad greatly by performing a TURP procedure on my 85 year old father. My Dad had a catheter in place and had constant infections, which caused 12 hospitalizations from May till Sept. Thanks to Dr. Rainwater and staff he is now doing really well! Rude, unprofessional, and unconfidential. My mother had taken my grandma for her bladder cancer check up. She had an appointment and waited for over an hour and a half before my mom went up and asked how much longer because they had some other appointments, including some blood work. When my mom asked the front desk clerk, Dr. Rainwater was behind the counter with another paitient and he ignored his current patient and calls over the desk really loudly, "why do you want to reschedule? So you can come back and sit all day on another day?" My mom was surprised and said they had some other appointments they needed to go to. He says really loudly, "what appointments do you have? Don't you care if her bladder cancer comes back?" In front of the whole waiting room! What happened to confidentiality? He also asked again what other appointments they needed to do and my mom said that my grandma had to have her blood work and had to eat due to her diabetes. He said those weren't important, they could do blood work any time. Regardless of the fact that my grandmother's blood is too thin due to some medication. On top of all this years ago, my grandfather came home crying because this doctor had hurt him so bad during a test after my grandpa made a comment that the democrats had won the election and Rainwater had made a snide comment before the test. I was really surprised to read the few negative comments. I am a faithful patient of Dr. rainwater and his staff. I have a bladder disease called interstitial cystitis and that is one of the most painful conditions with no cure. The pain is equivalent of bladder cancer at end stage. My inside of my bladder is like a raw bloody open sore. I get weekly catheters and injection of medication to try and coat it and offer short term pain relief. They are usually able to squeeze me in if the pain is unbearable but there is usually a wait. The reason there is a wait is because he's one of the best doctors in the central valley. I've had other urologist and by far rainwater is the most knowledgeable. In all honesty, had it not been for his practice and nurse practitioner Jeannine I would've "offed" myself long time ago. Before you go judging him and his staff from the previous reviews just know that there's patients like me who are silently suffering in pain and need to get seen in a moments notice. Dr. rainwater and the staff actually deserve an award for dealing with chronic suffering patients like myself. We can be quite demanding. read more

His attitude is blunt and again, very uncaring- at times he comes across as a cowboy who had a bad day with his cows... Loooong wait. No gown. Asked me to pull up my dress and didn't tell me what going to do. Had moved table into air and pulled stirrups aside. Me, 74 and with osteoporosis, when went to get off table to pull up my dress, fell like a stone onto my right leg which was scraped and bruised and hurt in a number of places. Have photos by another Doctor for a check-up on my leg for a procedure done 6 months before and he couldn't really assess his work due to the bruises and scrapes. When fell the nurse and doctor just looked at me and said,"Wev'e never seen that before." I was shaken and stunned, but got back onto the table where he put water into my bladder to look around. He hadn't explained what he was going to do until he was inserting the tube. Later he wrote a scrip that was apparently so illegible that the pharmacy didn't fill it correctly and I was given an anti-seizure drug instead of a refill of my antibiotic. I took one pill and was loopy while driving my grandchildren 12.5 miles to school. It could have been a disaster. The pharmacy has admitted they made an error, but, I think it started with Dr. Rainwater. It took about 6 weeks for the pain and bruises from hip to ankle to disappear. It has been since 9/ 19 (today it is 11/8) and no report has been sent to my Primary, who referred me. Obviously, I will not return. read more

My husband was referred to his office due to the findings of tumor/Masses which were extremely painful, and doctor GREG RAINWATER would not diagnose him nor run any tests to find out anything further about the tumors or pain.
