This daycare is a bit shady, I saw the high google/facebook ratings and decided to try them out…read more Booked for a full day only for them to call me back asking if I can pick up my puppy bc he is not a good fit. I was told on the missed voicemail and over the phone that I won't be charged but ended up paying $50 for a full day (8:30am-1:30pm) with the excuse of sorry you didn't come right when we called you at 10am. I was in the middle of work...why didn't they mention there was a time limit? all I got was please come as soon as you can. The girl I spoke to on the phone around noon said no charge and then changed the story when I asked her about it. She also said my pup has severe separation anxiety and was barking excessively, there was another owner right after me who had to pick up as well and was told the exact same thing (excessive barking/separation anxiety), he thought it was weird and had no issues previously. I think the staff don't know what they are talking about. There is a difference between separation anxiety and something that is severe. Barking for 30 mins and wanting to follow a person around doesn't mean a dog have severe separation anxiety. It can be a new environment, the type of dogs around, etc. My pup howls and whines everyday I go to work but he will eventually settle. I brought him to another daycare and the staff loved him, they said yes he is super energetic and playful but it's normal puppy behaviour. Very disappointed about the experience here, would not recommend. There should be a sign that says quiet, shy, calm, seniors dogs only.

We have been looking for a daycare closer to home for our one year old puppy. This seemed like a…read morenice place. She went for the introduction day and all went well. There were no issues with her fitting in with the other dogs. When we picked her up, we noticed the handler aggressively correcting her with the leash (negative reinforcement). We had understood the daycare had a positive reinforcement policy. Beyond this being a bad training technique, it is useless with our dog as it makes her more excited. We did not say anything to the handler and brought it to the attention of the owner privately to see what was their opinion. He responded that both us and our dog are no longer welcome at his business.

I am a pretty protective dog dad and bad experiences tend to stick out, so I thought it was time to write about where we found that we are happy with! One day while at the Bowness off leash park, there were quite a few more dogs than usual. Turns out it was "park play day" where the daycare brings the dogs for some playtime in the park. The owner was there and taking pictures of the dogs, as it turns out he is also a pet photographer! Our dog turned out to be pretty photogenic and got some good pictures. My girlfriend got information about the daycare and the next week we started taking him there. The building is a good size inside and outdoor play area as well. On hot summer days there are kiddie pools set up where the dogs can jump in and cool down. The facebook page is updated often with pictures and videos of all the dogs so we can check in and see all the fun being had while we are at work! Brian, Janice and all their staff are amazing. They always tell us a bit about what our dog did, who he played with and such. We have never had any issues with the daycare. It is reasonably priced, with multi day packs available to save some money. They also do regular nail trims for him, sometimes without us even asking! Brian also has a professional photo studio where he does amazing work with the dogs. We took ours in for a Christmas photo shoot and ended up getting amazing pictures and Christmas cards done. I would highly recommend Back in the Pack, and I'm sure my dog would too!

(how can a mother and a child survive off of 300$/ week if that?!) so my wife contacted the district manager (that did nothing but lie over the phone) telling her that she has 2 witnesses both previous employees of the store that were asking for a full time position as well and they both kept getting the answer "sorry , as soon as we have a full time opening Amber will be getting it since she's done the training and been there the longest" . so my wife gave the district manager both employees contact information so the DM can talk to them and find out the truth , but the DM did not call anyone or ask anything about the situation and all she said was that my wife's story and carries story don't match and she can only give her the part time hours that are 1/2 of the hours she was getting before matleave . this is the way the sage hill store and Carrie the manager treat theyre employees . my wife worked her but off for minimum wage for 3 years with a 25c raise doing everything what Carrie was supposed to be doing except the paper work , and this is what she gets from that scum of a woman ! Carrie is a liar and the worse manager that's ever been at that store . gonna be talking to a lawyer about this situation . to pet value head office and district managers , hope you know that Carrie pays people cash under the table to cover for her when she doesn't want to come in . this store lost over 20 of its regular customers because of how rude Carrie is to them. even myself included , Carrie would not sell less then 2 items to any relative of an employee , she said that was company policy that a family member of an employee must buy 2 or more items and when I tried buying one item she wouldn't sell me just one and started an argument with me about it while 3 other people were in line lmfao! what a joke ! now you know where and why not to work and/or shop and what kind of management pet valu sage hill plaza location has by the way the head office doesn't do a thing about anything just like the managers
