Then there are places that you go to of a night out for some scran because you just bloody love the place. Harun's is one such place. Despite recently painting the shop a rancid orange colour, Harun's remains the best takeaway in Southport for you to greedily stuff your mouth with greasy goodness in the early hours of the morning. The food there is well made and delicious albeit not particularly cheap (damn you Southport) and the staff there are friendly and will happily talk with you for hours about good Turkish footballers (believe me; it happens every week when we go). They also have a punching machine in there (perhaps to curb the violent enthusiasm of the Southport residents) which causes much hilarity at three in the morning when my mates decide to show each other who can hit something the hardest. I ordered 4 pompondums with 4 chutneys; 2 garlic naan; lamb tikka masala. All for only €15 pounds which included delivery. All the food was very good and hot (temperature). The service was fast and friendly, the owner and crews chatted and introduced themselves (from Pakistan), and the food is just plain glorious. Anything from the doner to the pitas and even the burger (which reminded of the Afghan burger back home in North Brunswick, NJ... LOL) are very well cooked. The sliced meat felt deliciously tender and the edgy spice completed the dance of the flavors. We got the value tikka box and had so much leftover. Definitely a worthy stopover in this otherwise sleepy and quaint English town.

We normally order from Posh Nosh but the last few times they have forgotten the garlic sauce or not brought us our free pizza, ext. So this time we decided to try somewhere new. Which is code for my son choosing where we were going to order from. His mate had told him about King Kebab so we agreed to give them a go. I was in the mood for a spicy chicken pizza and a garlic dip. Danny ordered a large kebab meat and chips with chilli sauce. We also ordered a garlic bread to share. No vampires were going to bother us tonight!! It cost just over £10 so we got a free bottle of coke! I was delivered well within the time stated. Danny's portion of kebab meat was huge! Plus they put his chilli sauce in a tub so his chips were still hot and crispy. My chicken tikka pizza was the most tasty I have ever had. It was slightly more spicy than the ones I have had before and lots more flavor. I am hooked. Their number is now on my speed dial. The garlic bread was great too btw. Decided to use this company today as our usual seemed to have disappeared from Just Eat…read more Placed the order through Hungry House and was told a 40 minute wait which i accepted as the usual wait time. 35 minutes after placing the order my wife received a call from the driver saying he was outside the house. We looked and he was not, my wife tried explaining/directing said driver to our house for over 15 minutes. This was despite the fact he was 1 street away and his telephone skills were very deplorable, i could here him across the room! The delivery finally arrived and my wife asked for him to wait whilst she checked that the food was still warm/acceptable to eat. The driver was not very forth coming and when the wife declared she would take the food he decided to storm off and slam my gate shut. Luckily for him he sped off by the time i got to the door to challenge him on why he was disrespecting my property, to which he was on due to me paying his company my money to deliver a service. Needless to say i will not be using this company again, neither will the local company i work for. Food was exceptionally mediocre and the customer service non existent. Order from here at your own peril!

It was one of the many restaurants in Manchester which had a January deal - not quite as good as the 50% off deals you see in some restaurants - it was 30% off the kebabs on the menu. The menu mainly consists of kebabs with a couple other main non-kebab dishes and then several things which are more starters/sharing type dishes. While we were deciding on what to order for main course, we got some hummus to share. Really nice! The kebabs all sounded good and it was a tough decision which one to go for. Was tempted by the monkfish one but that was sold out. Ended up sharing a kebab - we each got a kebab and cut in half. So shared the beef cheek one and the hanger steak one.  We also got some fries "for the table". So got Greek Fries and Paprika Fries. Greek Fries are fries with tzatziki, feta, olives and chilli sauce. Paprika Fries are simpler - just fries with paprika seasoning. The kebab tasted delicious. Amongst the group, I think some had the pork souviaki one and someone had the lamb adana one and everyone enjoyed the food. Even better than the kebab was 30% off. Looking forward to going again and try more of the kebabs!
