Raja singh did my sister's wedding photography, and he is a one stop shop! everything was great

Run away, don't ruin your special day. He is extremely rude, unprofessional and will ruin your wedding memories. He is all nice in consultation, but as soon as full payments are made he goes scarce. On wedding day he doesn't show up at all but sends some random staff we haven't met at all. Our Ceremony started at 1 PM and the staff were in a hurry going home at 3 PM while we had booked till 5 PM. They kept insisting they have another booking to go to, while Raja assured this would be his only booking for the day. Even 2 Months after the wedding and we were still waiting for our pictures. He just kept ignoring our emails, calls and texts. Finally when he picks up the call he argues with arrogance like we are asking him a favor. He falsely claims that he has already sent all the pictures, while he didn't send any. After a lot of struggle when we got hold of videos, we were extremely disappointed with the horrible quality of videos. We sent over several songs to be included in our highlights and wedding videos. None of the songs were added in videos. No efforts were put in shooting videos. We could have better off just putting a camera on Tripod and it would have been captured much better. They didn't even bother to give a mic to the Priest for wedding audio. I believe these all were outsourced and he didn't even bother to glance over before sending it over.   Key moments were missing from the wedding pictures. He didn't even bother to convert key moments like pictures with family. You would be better off handing over a camera to one of your wedding guests than hiring Raja.  I would have given it a 0 Star if I could. read more

His work is solid for the price and he works with you on that. I used him for mehndi/jago which was a 6 hour package. We had spent way to much on wedding photographer/videographer that we wanted to save money especially since this was such a small gathering of maybe 20 people at home due to covid. The pictures were pretty good but on some photos you could see a few more that he could have done better on. Him and his colleague were nice and I had fun/no issues. Maybe this is my bad but reason for 4 stars is that we never got a teaser and once the whole things over his responses to your messages lessen. So after asking for it twice had my husband call to find out the reason he was not sending it. I would suggest asking beforehand what is included in package or not. They also did me a huge favor by changing a music of one song on my mehndi I did not like. Solid work for a solid price. May use them again! read more

We met up with a few photographers for our wedding in November and I must say, Raja was hands down the best! He puts in his time and makes sure that he delivers good quality photos and videos at a very good pace. I especially loved how he put everything together in my video and how he captures details of the decor in photos. He finishes the work quickly and gives you enough time to make any edits to make sure it's perfect. Besides his 5 star quality work, he is a great person to work with. On our wedding day he and his crew made my husband and I feel very comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Raja and his wife are fantastic to work with! They treated us like family and answered every question so patiently! Raja worked with us for three separate shoots: Engagement photo shoot Sangeeth Wedding All three he was extremely courteous and patient and walked us through what he thought was required but he left the decision up to us. For the engagement shoot he already did the research on the best locations and got some fabulous shots of us and likewise for the sangeeth he had the same way of working, he knew the right time and place to get the right photos! Needless to say the same followed for the wedding. I have to appreciate all the hard work he put into getting us the best pictures possible for our wedding! Next his wife was so sweet and worked as our decorator. We had some back and forth about the design but she was super accommodating about it. It was our daughter's first birthday party and we were on hunt of a good photographer and we got Raja's reference from one of the friends . We hired him and his team to cover the entire Birthday evening event . Throughout the evening he just really did a good job in balancing the time he spent taking traditional photos and more photo journalistic photos/video footage..all of which I was really happy about. All my family and friends are really happy with the way the pictures and video has turned out. Thanks for your response, but unfortunately the response to my review are partially correct with factual inaccuracies and untruthful claims. Here I must mention that Mr. Raja was adamant to be paid in full and in advance, which I yielded to. The other videographer I hired worked as follows: 25% at sign of contract. 25% on the day of shooting. 25% on delivery of first draft. 25% on delivery of final product. The pictures were delivered in 2 weeks and fully edited video with background music in 1 month. My responses inline: 1. You had a complaint about not having enough photo and video coverage of both of you(bride and groom). Let me remind you, we suppose to meet at the designated park for photoshoot at 5pm but you were late and showed up at 7:30pm and told the photographer that you don't want too many photos in front of the guests because it was yours and your wife's second marriage(that's not our problem if you were shy and don't want photos because of your second marriage). [My Response] I reviewed and commented on video only. Photos were OK. We complained of not covering family members in the wedding video. No coverage of bride's brother who walked the bride to the stage. Minimal coverage of my family members and close friends. That shows the amateurish work. Any conversation in regards to taking less photos is a lie and will be dealt with accordingly. 2. The video was delayed because you didn't provide us the music on time. You emailed me the music on Jan 26th. [My Response] Correct. And video delivered in April. It took 2 and half months to edit background music 3. On Feb 15th you asked us to edit additional home made videos of your Nikah & Mehndi and include in the wedding video, which one of your family member shot. We edited both videos on your request which took a lot of time and effort, put the music, cut the unwanted scenes, add title, burned blu-rays. You agreed to pay additional $250, which you never paid. [My Response] Correct. But even after a delay of over 2 months you edited the video very poorly, Scenes are all jumbled up. Wrong songs in background. 4. On the top, you went to my editors house to pickup the videos and told him that you paid me already. [My Response] Editor's home address was given to me by Mr. Raja to pick up the videos. Again, untruthful about payment. 5. Your video was delayed because of all the additional editing of your own videos and not providing us the music on time. [My Response] It took 4 months to edit a video so poorly, charging more than many better professional photographers out there. 6. You just got upset because you didn't want to pay. [My Response] I had already paid in advance. You are asking additional $250 for delaying the delivery by 4 months and extremely poor editing of the video. Timeline and emails: Dec/14: Contract signed. 75% paid up front. Delivery of photos and video in 4 to 5 weeks. Dec/25: Photo/Film Shoot. Was asked to make 100% payment which was done. Jan/15: I wrote my first email to you inquiring status and what need to be done by me. No response to email for several days followed by a phone chat Jan/25: I wrote again: No response. Jan/26: I emailed the complete songs and where the songs will be in the video: Did not hear back. Jan/27: Wrote another email about dropping the family videos at the office on weekend: Jan/30: I dropped the family videos at the office with details on how and where to record the videos followed by phone conversation. Feb/04: Pictures delivered by Mr. Raja. Feb/15: I called, again to my dismay, you had no recollection of anything we had exchanged in the last month. I had to write another email with detailed instructions. I received no response for the email. Feb/21: I had to write once again, resent all emails sent over the last few weeks. No response. March/10: I called and once again to my dismay, you were oblivious of the list of songs, videos and instructions I had provided since Jan/30. March/11: I wrote again with all details. March/28: I called inquiring status, I was asked to send the songs again. I emailed the songs again. March/31: We finally received the first draft of raw video. April/02: Emailed back for necessary editing to the video. April/23: I received the following email from sekhonking@yahoo.com: Hi Zaryab, Your wedding video cds are ready..call me or raja to collect the cds We received our poorly done wedding video almost 4 months after the wedding and 2.5 months after providing every possible detail. I have all emails and phone text messages saved. I would not get email responses and very rude response to my phone calls which ended with a threat of misusing the photos and video. I had contemplated to report this matter to related authorities. read more

My wife and I hired Raja Singh to video shoot my wedding back in 2014, which we still haven't seen our own video because he is holding it for $500, which we won't pay. If you are interested in the details behind this, send me a message, and I will tell you. Bottom line, Raja is a good person, who wants to do a good job, but the business side of it is bad. I recommend do not take a risk of hiring him because you don't who is going to show up from beginning to end. There are other reviews that are positive but there are negatives as well and why should you take a chance on your big event, that only happens once. read more

Raja Singh did my engagement ceremony and my cousin's wedding over one weekend. Raja Singh and his wife did a wonderful job with photography and decorations for our engagement ceremony. When looking for wedding photographers, I called pretty much every South Asian photography company in the Bay! I chose to go with Raja because he had done my friend's engagement shoot, actual engagement party and her wedding as well! I loved his work. And to top it all off, he actually gave me the most for my money! I love that his team uses all these cool gadgets when filming! And I really appreciated that during photo shoots Raja noticed little things that make all the difference in later, like pulling my hair behind my ear (yes you'd be surprised how different the shot looks). This review is LONG overdue! Sorry Raja for not writing a review sooner but I've had lots of time to think about all that you and your team did for my brother's wedding! Little background on how we ended up picking Raja to do both the wedding photography and video for my brothers special day! The photographer originally hired wasn't able to make it and here I was trying to find not only a great photographer but someone what wasn't going to charge an arm and a leg 2 weeks before the wedding! (you all know when your desperate, ppl can take advantage of you). I called Raja and told him the situation and he was SUPER nice on the phone, the great news was he was free to do the wedding but he wanted to meet with the couple to discuss what they wanted. I asked for pricing and Raja was very upfront, not pushy at all and was even able to work with my budget! I had called a couple of other places before I talked to Raja but his professionalism on the phone made me put a star by his name. I do want to say that I was a little hesitant to call because I saw that he really didn't have a lot of yelp reviews and I literally read reviews before I go to a new place to eat. I have a theory as to why he doesn't get a lot of reviews written by his customers, simply because a lot of Indian/Afghan/Middle Eastern people don't take the time to include their comments, I too am guilty of this! Sometime I know it's not intentional but it happens! ANYHOW== Long story short I called my brother and both im and his fiancé talked to Raja and not only did they want Raja to do their wedding but they hired him for the night after the wedding too!! The Wedding: Raja came early to set up the day of the wedding. There were a total of 4 people, two to take photos and two to do video. I have to tell you that Afghan wedding have so many customs that you need to pay attention to all the details. Raja and team were so patient and captured all the memorable moments. I haven't seen pictures yet but I know that they will come out fabulous! He listens to what you want and gives you suggestions. Total team player and my family fell in love with him and his team. They took so many pictures and stayed later than expected! Now that's great service! The day after the wedding: Raja and his team came and set up early (as usual) and took pictures and we had a blast. His wife (other photographer) was so sweet and was very helpful in capturing all the special moments. I would recommend Raja and his team for all your photography needs!!
