Many errors found in the original letter which we had to point out and had approximately 5 redrafts, probably because they didn't do any research and just wrote the letter based on our conversation. My experience with Mr. Brauer and his firm came from handling an AP in a Bankruptcy matter where Mr. Brauer's firm was hired as opposing counsel. It was a fairly complex matter. I don't think Mr. Brauer's firm had practiced much in the way of Bankruptcy Law when the case started. I fully agree that he is young and maybe a little green, but what he and his associate didn't have in experience, they made up for in diligence. Not to mention, both of them were pretty sharp. As a lawyer, sometimes you see kids step straight out from law school open their own firm and just try and collect checks without even making an attempt to be competent. That was not the case with Mr. Brauer & his firm. Did we try to bark them down a little bit, yes. However, what they didn't know they learned quickly. Lack of experience is not detrimental to a client when the attorney is willing to put in the work necessary to acquire the necessary knowledge and skill set. Mr. Brauer and his firm did very well by their client in a very complicated area of law because of being willing to put in the work necessary to learn the material. My partner and I have stomped lawyers from major firms because they are lazy. That wasn't the case here. He did well. I was impressed. I would recommend him. As a matter of fact I just sent a friend to him today. I sent somebody else to him for an employment issue in the past and heard nothing but positive things. As far as mistakes go, all lawyers make mistakes. Any lawyer that says he doesn't make a mistake is a liar. Good lawyering requires cooperation back and forth between a client and his/her lawyer. I just had a case where I wrote the order, redrafted with opposing counsel 3 x and then the trustee 2x. So that was 5x. Would you rather him fire off a letter without your approval? Seriously? So yes, I am a fan. The kid(I say that because I'm older) gets 4 stars from me now, but is on his way to 5. I was informed that although the office appears on consumer attorney listings, they do not handle lemon-law matters. During the call, I felt the communication was abrupt and unprofessional, as the call was disconnected twice( when I called back in she presented to do the same thing again)and I was not given the opportunity to ask follow-up questions. Based on my experience, I recommend that others consider additional options when searching for assistance, as I believe customer service and professionalism at the initial point of contact are important when someone is seeking legal help.
