I told her again that he had said something else. She said,"Well, what am I supposed to do?" I had to tell her to talk to him. She called back, and indeed, it wasn't the drug he said. Very efficient, helpful and friendly the staff was, from the receptionist to the head doctor. The therapy activity area was open bay and sometimes it felt crowded, but there was still space to get things done. When I left, they had just opened another section with an above-ground swimming pool for water therapy sessions. Overhead TV's, a clean bathroom, ample parking, small waiting area....no complaints; I never waited that long for an appointment. On my last appointment I asked the head doctor for copies of exercises I could do; he said I could look them up on the internet and he'd email me what they had on file but he never did. Overall, a good experience. Hopefully I won't be back, though!

I have been going to Dan for a lot of years and have always highly recommended him. He doesn't…read morejust stick you on a machine and leave you to it. He uses hands on manipulation, asks you where the most pain is, and focuses on that. He doesn't switch you around from one therapist to a different one each session. Only one therapist gets to know you and how each session is working, as well as communicates with you and learns what is successful with each session. Dan, as the best therapist there is, watches you when you are approaching for the session, and he can see what the problem is before any words are exchanged. The biggest downfall for some is that they aren't willing to do the stretches or exercises he recommends, and that is on the patient. I have watched Dan's business grow over the years, he taught himself to learn Spanish so he could communicate with the Hispanic patients, and did all the mounds of necessary paperwork to be able to take on VA patients. Over the years, he and his wife Kyri have become involved in community events and has become a very important part of Yuma's best to offer. I could not give a higher referral. The entire experience was amazing. Great office visit. Nothing left to chance. I received clear pre-op instructions. The surgery went just as described. I was on my way home hours after surgery! Again, clear instructions for post-op. It's been less than a month. I am walking easily in the house with no walker or cane. Dr. Henderson says I should be pretty much back to normal in 6 to 8 weeks. I've started doing a little housework already- loading and emptying the dish washer, some light dusting. Dr. Henderson said EXTENDED walking, sitting or standing would bother the surgery site right now so I am careful with that and spend a lot of time lying down off and on during the day, but this experience has been a dream. So much better than the other hip replacement done in another state. If there were more stars, I would have given him more stars.
