Probably my favorite hotel that I get the chance to stay at regularly because it's always being updated and the staff is always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Just this stay, I messed up with my reservations and when I arrived and they discovered my mistake Jessica went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. I travel a great deal and this type of service while typical for this Ramada, industry wide it is getting harder to find. When in Del Rio, do yourself a favor and stay with the folks here at the Ramada. Matilda's restaurant is also a must try breakfast. My experience is it's always complimentary and they knock it out of the park every time. I highly recommend the Ramada Inn. read more

the staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable enough but the rooms look rough. old fixtures, toilet was wobly, and the bathroom was pretty rough. I travelled for work and the worst part of my stay was the internet. 1.5mbps up and down but it seemed to fluctuate from standstill no data at all to slow as mollases. lofi pictures were loading like i was on a dial up modem. The Ramada Del Rio is located on the main strip near restaurants, gas stations, and stores. They have an attached restaurant called Melinda's and a bar called the White Horse Lounge. The lounge has happy hour specials that change daily. The White Horse also have karaoke night on Wednesday until midnight and live music on the weekend sometimes. The guest rooms are separated in different buildings. You can tell that the Ramada has gone through many changes but overall the rooms have been updated and are clean, modern, and comfortable. There's a beautiful pool area in the center with a waterfall and plenty of lounge chairs. The gym is in its own building and the equipment is all new. There isn't many options in Del Rio but the Ramada is a solid choice. read more

This hotel is not what is offered online or via the Wyndham app. The pictures online do not match the "non renovated" rooms.... It is ridiculously overpriced. Between the condition of the hotel, my room smelled like mildew and feet. I'd rather save my $175/night and sleep in my car. I asked the man at the desk and he said you have to call and request a renovated room after you book. The only problem is, nowhere does it say the hotel is undergoing renovations. My family and I stayed here many times to visit family and friends and well we gave this place a lot of chances but finally have given up. We will no longer stay here. I am livid just typing this :/ When I booked with Wyndham, we were all excited since we haven't had a mini vacay since the entire pandemic. I indicated to Wyndham customer service to add the accommodations of a crib since we are traveling with our newborn. When I went to the front desk to check-in, they indicated they would run the crib to us. We waited a few hours and called the front desk to ask for extra towels and the crib, they said they had a lot of people check in. A lady that brought our towels said they don't have cribs anymore because people were stealing them. I asked, "you all don't have cameras or charge the last person that stayed there to file a claim or charge them to get new ones?" She said she "didn't know". So I found this very disappointing and an excuse. They need to take this accommodation off the website and update Wyndham corporate customer service as well as staff to be up to date on what they do and do not have. A caucasian lady with thin eyebrows, never got her name, had an attitude when I tried to recall what rooms had a daybed since it had been a while since I stayed there. When I couldn't recall if some rooms had daybeds with 2 or 1 bed, she looked at me like I was crazy and looked at the other staff member to try to understand and wanted to laugh. That is not acceptable. Customer skills were lacking. The park outside had caution tape all hanging off of it. A trash bag was left outside of the building by the trash can. Wasps dead bodies were outside by the doorway and were not swept up. The website didn't advertise that renovations were being made. The next day we arrived for breakfast 30 min prior to closing to get a quick bite and there was no seating until an older lady waitress with the glasses over her nose and no smile said (like she was getting after us) "you know breakfast closes in 30 min". I said I know but asked "I don't see a place to sit for me and my family" She indicated that there was more seating in the back. There was an open area in the back with tables and stained tabeleclothes and chairs everywhere. My grandma made her plate and the refried beans looked white and crusty. I seriously wanted to throw up. We left everything there and headed to another restaurant nearby. I will give credit to a waiter who helped relieve the situation. He gave us paper mache flowers, juice, and serving us what he could help with. I gave him a tip because I used to be a waitress and saw he tried to make us feel better and was in a great mood. The inside pool and jacuzzi have a spa room that has been shut down every time I stayed there for years. The surveillance camera for the inside pool has been broken for years all rusty and turned around so it faces a wall. The vending machine had barely anything in it and dirty clothes on the ground. Some of the workers there look so unhappy, rude, and frustrated when I have stayed there before. This place almost looks fancy and has an abundant set of accommodations with renovations happening, however, renovations for customer service and manners are what is NEEDED along with the lazy upkeep in maintenance. read more

It may have been something previously. It looks like they were doing some renovations to spruce it up. The "campus" setting is nice. Thats about all I can say. The wall are super thin to the point that you can hear the last person to go to sleep (about 2-3 am) and the first cleaning crew that comes in at 4 am. The outlet in out room was broken to the point that you would be afraid of attempting to plug something into it. The cleaning crew that came in at 4am woke us up by yelling across the courtyard about finding 2 cases of beer and something about pissing in the pool? There are a ton of places to stay in this area. If you have ti stay here, make sure to get a high number room (like 400-500 range) away from the heavy traffic and possibly don't swim in the pool. Your call. read more

This hotel is gross. The photos online are misleading as well. There are many mixed reviews online but after experiencing this location for myself I can't help but feel the good reviews are not real customers. Many say the hotel is dated which is true but beyond that the rooms are disgusting. Upon entering the room you are presented with an overpowering hot musty smell welcome. Once you get past the heat and smell you notice the carpet. The carpet is filthy, stained and so worn you can't even see the original design. Next you get the bathroom. The grout in the shower is black and that's not by design. The toilet is cracked and requires multiple flushes and that's just #1-imagine #2! Topping the whole experience off the beds are so uncomfortable- can't wait to leave. read more

The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, this establishment leaves a lot to be desired. Here's my rundown: DON'T sleep in room 101. There are some tables outside that gets a herd of drunks that hang around being loud until around 5:00am. Breakfast bar kinda sucked. The scrambled eggs tasted WEIRD. Like they had sugar and something weird in them. The biscuits were hard. The gravy tasted like liquid flour. I never got a refill on my coffee the first night. Dinner was pretty good. I've had the burger, rib eye, and the patty melt. The salad bar is decent and the service is very good. The rooms are okay. A little rough, but they're clean. This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The towels were dirty. I found foundation and lip stick on the hand towels. The bath towels were no longer white. They were gray and very coarse. The sheets were dirty. The pillow was covered in hair and the same hair was on the sheets. The room was hot and muggy when I first walked in since the AC was turned off (as an FYI, the outside temperature was in the mid-80s). The shower was broken. Half flowed from the faucet and the other half from the shower head. The shower head was extremely low. I'm only 5'5" and it cleared my head by about 2 inches. There were mosquitoes in the room. And the ice machine by my room was broken so I had to walk to a different area of the hotel. When I brought the dirty towels and sheets to the attention of the front desk, they did have them changed. But this should not have happened in the first place. When I went to check out and I informed the front desk about the poor conditions of my stay, I was offered only a $20.00 credit which was a slap in the face. I will definitely not stay here again. On a related note, I was traveling with a co-worker and her room had a broken shower that only flowed from the faucet into the tub and her refrigerator was broke. She did inform me that the room was better than her last stay. The previous stay her room was covered in mold. read more

We travel to Del Rio often for the lake and enjoy a refreshing shower and nice place to stay after. Most often, we are able to stay here. The customer service at the front desk is really hit or miss, but today was a HUGE miss. By an online booking mishap, we were confirmed here but there were actually no rooms available. The front desk rep of the hotel was condescending, rude and completely put out by our presence. Beyond the front desk is a night club that keeps their music so loud that you can hardly carry on a conversation with the front desk rep. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again and we will recommend any other place to our friends and family as well. read more

You can feel the vibrations when your room is right next to the pool! Unbelievable all the front desk clerk can say well it's Labor Day wknd! We got off of work. Hanging out n what not. Go to our room for the night. Open up the door... boom there's a couple in there having sex. Very awkward we close the door saying oh sorry they must of doubled booked us. Keep in mind that I stay in hotels constantly. So yes I'm upset. Rude management Went to eat breakfast the next day with the Complimentary food pass cause I'm use to hotels not having a good breakfast and then we ask for orange juice and apple juice. The waiter came back. Which I don't know if it was in his good heart or not. Butt none of his business. Said that y'all drink to much. Stayed at the Ramada in Del Rio as part of a group trip (so unfortunately I don't know the cost since I didn't pay). What I can say is that the room was a standard Ramada room with no bells and whistles but perfectly suitable nonetheless. The room was clean and roomy, not outdated, the linens and towels were clean and soft, and the pillows were nice and comfy. There was a plug by the bed. I had to move the bedside table to get to it (but at least it was there). The mattress was a little on the firm side, but not springy or lumpy. The hotel had a bar and a restaurant on the property. The food was okay. Our group got one free beer at the bar and one free complimentary breakfast in the restaurant - is that standard (?) I don't know but it was nice. It also consisted of more than a typical continental breakfast in that it had omelets and bacon, sausage, etc ... The room also had complimentary wi-fi. Other than that the pool looked nice. I wish I had a chance to use it. I've never stayed at anyplace else in Del Rio so I can offer no comparisons, but the Ramada was perfectly suitable for my needs and I would stay again. read more

Stayed here on a Monday night. Specifically picked this hotel because we were traveling with our 2 dogs. Payed about $85, which included the room (obviously), 2 breakfast buffets, & 2 drinks at the bar. The room: Completely standard hotel room. However, it had exactly what we needed. The king bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice. The room was clean and the shower had great pressure and was hot. The temperature stated consistent and there was a mini fridge and microwave as well. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT!!! Normally $9/person but as I said before, they were complementary. I would have gladly payed the 9 bucks though. We had the personally made egg omelet, yogurt with fruit & granola, toast, oatmeal, English muffin, breakfast sausage, fresh fruit, coffee, country potatoes, and pastries. There were about 15 other items that we didn't get but they looked good as well. This was a GREAT way to start the the day. Overall facility: We wish the temperature was a little hotter so we could have used the pool since it looked very nice and newly updated. A swim-up pool bar and a part hot tub. The area was well lit and had a nice courtyard for us to walk our dogs. If we return to Del Rio, with or without our dogs, we will definitely stay here again. read more

The first night I stayed here, I paid $89 and received a room facing outside towards the parking lot. All seemed well, the room was nice. The shower was small and gross. It kept clogging up, there was hair on the wall, and the toilet ran. The faucet only ran hot or warm water. And then morning came. Holy. Shit. There must have been 100 or more birds screeching in the parking lot by 5am. This lasted until 9am, when I finally gave in and woke up. I went over to breakfast with my two breakfast tickets and grabbed a plate. I've seen better options at places that don't offer full service like this place does. I don't even know why they're trying. Their eggs are overcooked, and they have these bean burritos that honestly look and taste like they were made by a three year old. We put the breakfast tickets on the table and left. Then we decide to stay another night, but we can't afford the room price again. We came out here to take care of a family member who was really ill, ended up not being able to stay at her house, and had to pay for a hotel room. The ladies at the front desk were very nice about this. They understood our situation and gave us the room again for much less. We went back to our room, realizing we didn't get new card keys or breakfast tickets. Eventually we went back for a card key. Still no breakfast ticket. We figured the tickets weren't a big deal if they hadn't given them to us. So, the next morning we woke up (this time, magically, no loud birds to wake us up!), and went down for breakfast. We ate our little meal again, still not the greatest quality, and then received a bill. $10 per plate. We were in awe because, firstly, we grabbed some scrambled eggs and two measly bean burritos. I mean, honestly, if we wanted to spend money for breakfast, we would have gone out and paid for much better quality. But this was supposed to be free, so we didn't. After speaking with the woman at the front desk, it turns out we received a reduced rate because breakfast isn't included with it. But no one told us. At all. No one had said our reduced rate is because breakfast isn't included. And whomever was at the front desk did not care that we weren't informed! She said I should take it up with the breakfast people. So I did. They were unapologetic as well. So we ended up paying the $20 bill for two small burritos and scrambled eggs and leaving. So livid about that. We could've gotten better quality at a fucking Taco Bell and only paid $5. And then I noticed a fitness center. I thought that this was great since I'm a really active person. So, I put on my workout clothes and head in there. It's a really small room. Like, probably 15ft by 10ft with 5 or 6 machines crammed in there. No treadmill. Three weight machines and two cardio machines. I'm more of a runner, but I decided to go with the outdated stair stepper since it seemed like my best option. I don't know how the hell someone hasn't died on that thing. Every couple of steps that I took, the right step would drop all the way to the ground. This was like a foot and a half drop and could've been very dangerous if I weren't holding onto the railings. No wonder no one was in there. Just a pathetic hotel. read more

This hotel has some of the BEST Customer Service I've ever received. Extremely and over the top considerate! Upon my 3-day stay in Del Rio, their staff provided shuttle transportation to and from my job site all three days! In addition, I realized that I had left my phone iPhone charger at my job site, to my amazement, they had a spare variety of phone chargers at front desk to loan me until I retrieved my own. I will definitely be back to stay here in the future and would recommend you do the same! read more

We will not be staying here again. *Check-in is 3pm, and at 3:30pm no ones rooms were ready. *In the room, there is a sign that says there are towels by the pool, which there aren't. *Our room has no shampoo and only one bar of soap. *We decided to eat dinner at the restaurant at the hotel, which was a huge mistake. There was only one waitress, who was very good, but that was the only part that was decent. We ordered our food, which was not what we ordered or as described. People at the table next to us had the same experience and sent their food back, twice. They ended up asking to speak to the manager, who was wearing jeans and a tank top. Apparently the head chef had the day off and someone was filling in. She apparently didn't know how to cook. I ordered a caprese salad and was given a big bowl of chopped lettuce, black olives, a couple cherry tomatoes, and feta. Our soup was barely warm. *The ice machine was empty. *We chose this hotel because it advertised as having breakfast included. What they don't tell you until you check in is that they only give 2 breakfast vouchers. If you need to feed more people than that, you have to pay. Do no stay here. This hotel sucks. read more

The rooms were good the breakfast buffet was good and omelets were big. There was a special but the Hispanic girl could t tell what the choices were written in Spanish so ate buffet. Also 6 people had problems with the keys and couldn't get in to their rooms. Worst if all the girl at the desk said it was all of our fault. Her attitude was bad. read more
