Amistad Lake Resort offers a total of 40 rooms, including standard, standard plus, and lakeview units. All of our guests enjoy the mini-refrigerators, microwaves, complimentary & coffee makers, alarm clocks, cable tv/remote, swimming pool/sundeck, BBQ's, boat outlets/plugs for every room, and free wireless internet, and we are 100% pet friendly, so bring ALL your family along! Amistad Lake Resort (formerly Amistad Lodge) was built in 1970 and fully renovated in 2005. We offer 40 units, including lakeview, standard plus and standard rooms.
Meet the Business Owner: Byron V.
Most widely known for his appearance as the bachelor on the 6th season of ABC's "The Bachelor", Byron Velvick is also well known as a 16 year touring professional angler on the exclusive BASS Elite Tour as well as host/analyst of an array of outdoor TV venues. He has been the weekly co-host/analyst of ESPN's only fishing-news show "Basscenter", host of ESPN's "Weekend Angler", host of ESPN's saltwater series "Going Costal", host and on-the-water analyst for 5 Bassmaster Classics, and a guest on a wide variety of shows such including The View, Ellen, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel, Dennis Miller, etc. Among his many accomplishments in the sport of professional fishing Byron is a two-time US Open Champion, two-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier, two-time Bass Elite Invitational Champion, IGFA/Rolex Light Line Tournament Champion, and current record holder for the heaviest three day total winning weight on the BASS invitational tour. Byron has won 22 professional tournaments.
