I've had the chance to attend a few events at Ramble Creek in East Tennessee over the past couple of years, including a wedding and a private party, and it's honestly one of the most beautiful venues in the area. I've also had the opportunity to just walk around the property and enjoy its natural beauty. The setting alone makes it special. The property feels tucked away in the Smoky Mountains, with incredible views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for a destination wedding. Several guests at the wedding I attended actually traveled in from out of state and stayed on the property, which made the whole weekend feel more like a retreat than just a one-day event. What really stood out to me is how smooth everything seemed to run. The staff were dressed sharp, and were friendly, organized, and always around when needed without being intrusive. Ceremony and reception areas feel thoughtfully designed. I could definitely see why couples choose this venue for all-inclusive weddings. Ramble Creek takes care of a lot of the details so couples and guests can just enjoy the celebration. Been to too many weddings at other venues where guests stayed after to help stack chairs or clean up the space. If you're looking for a scenic venue in East Tennessee that works for weddings, destination celebrations, or even private and corporate events, Ramble Creek is definitely worth checking out I think! I am happy to give this 5 stars as an impressed attendee to my nephew's recent wedding. The place looked amazing. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Athens Tennessee seemed to be a nice town, too! The shuttle service was fantastic. The staff worked hard, I think, to pivot from an outdoor ceremony to holding it indoors ... efficiently and quickly. The food ... especially appetizers.. were delish! The fire pit was a nice place to hang out (because it only rained during the time of the actual ceremony .. lol!). The whole setting was beautiful and off the beaten path. My darling nephew & his lovely wife(now) definitely chose well to get married during October Fall season. read more

Gorgeous location for a wedding and reception! Picture perfect day to enjoy the firepit/whiskey bar with s'mores! Appetizers were delicious and had an interesting variety! Main course I had was salmon with crabmeat and shrimp - absolutely fantastic which is a challenge when serving such a big crowd. The staff was wonderful and attentive and super friendly, especially the manager and wedding coordinator. The decorations were perfect and the inside lighting looked just magical! read more

Okay. I want to start by saying for the most part, everything Ramble creek did leading up to the wedding was great. Hayley is wonderful. She walked me and my husband around multiple times, answered any questions and genuinely felt like a big sister. I literally love her so much. When I met her at the bridal show, she was so kind and knowledgeable and made me feel right at home. She's honestly the main reason we chose ramble creek. On the wedding day, we mostly had problems with our vendors provided by the venue. Specifically the DJ and the day of coordinator... The food was amazing. The chef did a wonderful job. That turkey pot pie, I still dream about it. So wonderful. We had our cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. However, Ramble creek did a chocolate chip cookie as a farewell treat... absolutely delicious!!! however, they brought the cookies out too late and people had already been leaving by the time they remembered. So we got left with a ton of cookies that our guests weren't able to enjoy. The DJ was lackluster. He Could not get the party going. Music was all over the place and people would start dancing then stop because the next songs would ruin the vibe. We were very disappointed with the DJ. My husband made the comment, it's like kids bop is playing at our wedding. Yikes. The day of coordinator was simply unprepared. She was unorganized and started arguing with me and my husband. Anything I would say, to alter or fix (which is her job) was half assed or not done at all. She accused my guests of coming inside, bypassing 5 tables with plenty of chairs, to go on the backside of the wedding party's table (farthest from the door) to "steal a chair".... When we noticed that a chair was missing at the reception table for the best man... all I said was a chair was missing and they needed to add another chair and place setting. Then she claimed there wasn't a place card with his name, and that's why they didn't give him a chair.... yet I personally put them down. Also, we gave her the seating chart, which I hand drew and had everyone's name written in.... When we did our entrance, and went to the table, in his spot was the name card she claimed was missing..... Either way, It was rude and My husband and I both were very disappointed and upset with how she treated us and how the day turned out. Basically after dinner, I had to get up and go for a walk because of how upset we both got. She also just left without telling anyone which whatever I guess. The kitchen staff were excellent. They really tried to cheer me up after that whole incident. They could tell I wasn't happy and they came on the dance floor to dance with me, and then tried to help the DJ pick things back up. I love Ramble Creek. I just think that there was a lot they could've done to prevent some of these issues. I believe they can hopefully use this review to make necessary changes and hopefully not have the same issues. read more

*Retweet of a review below!* This place is a hidden GEM! Oh my goodness. I was not sure what to expect, but can't get this place's beauty out of my mind after a wedding this weekend. The drive from Knoxville was approximately 55 minutes. It was 98% interstate, making it a very easy drive. Once you get off in Athens, it is just a few turns before you arrive (after passing Mayfield Dairy, yum). The parking lot is 2 levels, but small. The property offers several locations for a ceremony outside and one large barn, meeting place inside. I would encourage anyone attending to have shoes appropriate for both grass and gravel. High or sharp heels would be challenging for any environment outside at this venue. I spoke with the bridal party who stayed at the house on property and they spot very highly of it. They said it was equally gorgeous and as detailed as the rest of the venue. I hope anyone looking at these reviews gets a chance to check it out! read more

I can't say enough about how lovely and well well organized this venue is!! Scenic with multiple settings to choose from for your ceremony! The pricing is reasonable and the staff very experienced and professional and attentive to details. The food is delicious and everything for our daughter's wedding from the steak and sides to the cake (gorgeous) was fabulous! Our coordinator, Emma was gracious and poised and put us at ease. We had some last minute hiccups (having to move the ceremony indoors for rain for one) and she didn't miss a beat, handling everything seamlessly!!! read more

Oh My! This place is a diamond in the rough for sure... I spend a fair amount of time in McMinn County and never knew this place existed until this past weekend. My friend was getting married and chose this venue based on their all inclusive package. So lets begin. The actual venue is a diamond in the rough. When driving to the location from I-75 you begin to doubt your GPS and it feels like you are in the wrong place. It's only until you are about a half mile away do you see your first sign for Ramble Creek. As you crest the hill and make the sharp turn to the right, it starts to feel as if the sign was wrong and then, there's the driveway. Pulling in was easy and the barn is beautiful. The parking lot, both upper and lower, are gravel, so they aren't conducive with high heels according to my wife. We walked in and began to socialize a bit before walking down to the ceremony area. Being a lawn/turf guy, I immediately noticed that the grass should have been mowed before the ceremony. The lawn is a bad mix of pasture grass, tall fescue and clover. The fescue was tall and was in need to a trim both for aesthetics and for function. After the ceremony, we went back up to the barn and began snacking. The finger foods were excellent and the following meal, steak and salmon, was amazing. The sides were mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. It was a very nice mix of southern foods with an upscale twist. I was stuffed. The inside of the barn was beautiful and looked like Chip and Joan had came and designed it personally. Brides and Grooms, I'm not sure what the pricing is, but I'd give Ramble Creek a look. At least see if it's in your budget. I'd recommend requesting they trim the grass before your big day though. read more

Just had our daughter's wedding there this past Saturday 5/27. We had a wonderful time and they were well organized. Wedding cake and grooms cheesecake was perfect. Food was exceptional especially the chocolate chip cookies!! (Father of the bride personal favorite) but The Brussels sprouts were a close second!!! Way to go Chef Josh Frieze!!! My beautiful niece and now nephew married there on June 14th. The place was absolutely beautiful, the grounds and especially the interior of the building. I think the facility provided everything, including the most beautiful flowers and amazing cake and cupcakes. Every staff person we came in contact were as nice as could be. Our wedding was on 10.07.17, and I can say without a doubt that choosing Ramble Creek for our venue was the best decision we made during our planning process. First of all, every inch of the grounds is absolutely gorgeous. We chose to have our ceremony in front of the pond and the view was breathtaking. I can't wait to see pics! After the ceremony, everyone headed to the barn for the reception. There are no words to describe how gorgeous it is on the inside! It is already so beautifully decorated that the only decor I brought was table centerpieces- there was no need for anything else! They also provide all tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, and glasses so we didn't have to rent a single thing from an outside company. During the morning of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I did our hair and makeup upstairs in the bridal suite. Not only is it beautiful (like everything else!), it is also equipped with a full bathroom, changing space, keurig (with kcups, sugar, and creamer), bluetooth speaker, amazing lighting, a HUGE mirror (and other smaller ones), plenty of seating, and it has windows overlooking the inside of the barn so I could watch everything being set up for the reception. Next, I'll talk about the food- I've heard from so many people that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding! A standard meal comes with soup or salad, entrée, two sides, and bread. We had some extra room in our budget so we chose to add a third side. We also had some hors d'ourves between the ceremony and reception which were set up right outside the barn. We also added a hot chocolate bar to the menu, which our guests loved! I'm usually not a hot chocolate person, but it was SO delicious; not to mention, the bar set-up was also super cute! We chose to have Eva, the in-house pastry chef, make our cake and pies. The cake was easily the best I've ever had, and my husband is still saying he wants more of the chocolate chess pie she made! We've heard so many wonderful comments from our guests. Finally, the service and attention from the staff and owners were astounding. The planning and the day-of all ran so smoothly; if there were any issues, I had no idea! They made everything so easy for us and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Ramble Creek to anyone and everyone! Thank you Buck, Jenny, Adam, Eva, Jacquie, Audrey, and the rest of the staff for making our day so perfect! read more
