They have some fancy phone system with extensions instead of answering a single phone line where they screen their calls. They only have three tables inside, and claims to no longer have a dining cover charge. I asked if the patio was licenced, and he pointed to only having three tables. I was told to make a reservation because of their size, and told the owner that it's not feasible if I decide to drive up from Toronto to know what time I should make a reservation for. A very odd owner indeed. He doesn't remember yelling at the group of people who posted a Yelp review from six years ago, and the guy also posted his personal phone number on the review for a call back. I imagine if you buy beers from the bottle shop on a busy day you can't get seating in the summer they won't let you consume them on site on the outside patio. He was definitely annoyed by my questions. Don't want the trouble of meeting the Norfolk OPP to get trespassed off the property. I think I might skip this place.

If you like Belgian Beer Style, you will love what they are brewing here. Dubbel, Trippel, Blonde Ale and more. Strong beer here as the ABV is quite high. Beer Flight ($6.50 for 4 or $1.75 each) and the bottles available at a good price! Staff here is super friendly and it can be so much fun interacting with them. Even this place is in middle of no where, please drop by for a visit if you are in the area! Late opening hours as retail store closes at 11 pm.

I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my wife. We were taking part in the Lake Erie…read moreWine Country Harvest Event and one of the stops happened to be at Sensory Vineyard which was also at the same location as 7 Sins Brewing. If two things weren't enough they also considered themselves an art house and had lots of paintings hanging up around the building. The inside of this place is pretty large with a large bar off to the left side and then some seating and other things off to the right. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery I decided to go with a flight here. I actually was able to use my wine tastings on beer here but the size wasn't too good and so I paid the $5 for 4 - 4 oz pours. Since the brewery is named 7 sins, as you would guess some of their beer names are also related to that. So for my 4 beers I went with Gluttony (Stout), Pre-prohibition Porter, Greed (Brown Ale) and Frye PA (IPA). Out of the bunch I enjoyed the Frye Pa with the Gluttony coming in a close second. I also thought that the Greed was pretty good but there was something about the porter which I didn't care for. There wasn't anything wrong with it but my palate just didn't care for it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed most of the beers that I had here and I think that $5 a flight is a steal.

I was a regular at Block 3 when I lived in Waterloo. Well, if I'm honest, I was there all the time…read moreand they should have charged me rent. You might think beer was my primary motivation, and in the beginning it was. Block 3 is a small batch craft brewery that delivers on tasty beer. They generally have ten to twelve beers on tap ranging from lagers, ales, sours and sometimes a stout. They are all delicious in their own right although drinking barrel aged fruited sours is an acquired taste in my book, but trust me try them and you may learn to love them. But why else should you go? There is limited food (it's a brewery not a restaurant), no TV's to watch the game, a steady stream of classic rock playing in the background, kids running around and a few dogs to greet you on the way in. To make matters worse the cell reception is awful, my wife always had a hard time reaching me. Hmm, maybe that's not all bad... What kind of place is this, anyway? It's a modern twist on an old fashioned FAMILY oriented brewery, that's what! There are plenty of board games to play, the local regulars are always happy to share some stories, and the staff are the coolest people around. They have a great Mug Club and if you are lucky you get your own hand-thrown pottery mug with your name on it! Very cool... As I mentioned in one of my check-ins, Block 3 is a benchmark craft brewery experience. I can't recommend this place highly enough,
