She is passionate and highly knowledgable when it comes to training dogs. We called her out of recommendation from a neighbor for our two dogs (one being a new rescue). Ramella sat with my husband and I, examined the situation, listened to our concerns and developed a plan for both of our dogs. What I found most impressive was Ramella's wealth of knowledge. We adopted an 8 year-old dog and we were told by the adoption agency that she got along with everyone except other dogs because she wasn't socialized as a pup. Whenever we went on walks, she was a very strong puller and was very unfocused. And in the home, she would get very anxious due to people walking in the hallway. We got a puppy in April - good timing because the family was all working from home with the Pandemic, but also hard because a new puppy seemed to be added stress in an already stressful time. Calling Ramella to help with our dog, Bowie, was the best decision we ever made. Our 25lb mix breed dog was showing signs of aggression, lunging and barking at people and dogs, and also having a few incidents of biting people and dogs. We were so stressed whenever anyone came over to our house, when the doorbell rang, or walking down the street, as we were always so scared he would attack. Ramella came to our house to assess and observe Bowie in his home setting. She was able to point out why he was behaving the way he was, and what changes/training we needed to do. It was incredibly eye opening and the change in our dog was almost immediate after 1 session with Ramella. He's like a completely different dog and it's an amazing feeling to no longer feel stressed out and worried whenever we are in public with him. We recently had a party at our house (normally we would have to bring him to a dog sitter) and our friends thought we had drugged him because he was so calm and well behaved. Every single person commented on how he was a completely different dog. After a few months we called Ramella again to help teach Bowie to heel and walk properly on a leash so that we could eventually jog or bike with him. Again, he took to the training immediately and he no longer pulls on leash and walks beside us. I've started skateboarding with him while he happily runs next me to, and stops when I stop. We also go on hikes often where he runs around off leash and I don't have to worry about him around others. I have known Ramella for 16 years. At that time I had a 1 year old terrier (Harry) who was deaf in 1 ear due to a congenital defect. He was totally unmanageable, could not get him house trained, couldn't walk him on a leash, aggressive towards strangers, every problem you can imagine.
