She went though the dances pretty fast and didn't explain every move fully especially for a beginners class, but if you wanted to ask questions you could and made you feel comfortable doing so. The studio was big enough so everyone has room, the speakers were loud and full, and the room was a good temperature. They have other classes like ballet, jazz, tab, and much more. There are a lot of restaurants within 0.5 mile walking distance but we did not allocate enough time. Luckily the concessions were extremely affordable-$3 for a hot dog, $3 dollar for a huge popcorn tub, and $2.50 for Dasani water bottle. Thanks for such an affordable meal while watching my daughter's college basketball team. The seats were well cushioned and the entertainment with the UGA dancers was fun to watch. Famous airings on the Jumbotron were Bengals football player Amarius Mims and Georgia football coach Kirby Smart. Auburn basketball team lead early, Georgia rallied, and in the end Auburn won. Stegeman Coliseum is home to the University of Georgia's men's and women's basketball teams,…read moregymnastics team, and volleyball team. It's located on campus, opened in 1964, and is named after Herman Stegeman, who coached UGA's football team from 1920 to 1922. My long-overdue review for Stegeman, or "the Steg" as it's referred to by UGA fans, is based on my experience here as a Georgia Tech fan. In basketball, Tech has played UGA more than any other school. To date, we've played UGA 120 times. Our record against the Dawgs is 64-56 (.533 win percentage). I attended the game where Georgia Tech came into Stegeman undefeated (12-0) and with its highest ranking ever at the Steg (No. 3). The unranked Dawgs upset us in a double overtime thriller, 83-80. It sucked. At least the game was entertaining; exciting and stressful. The thing I remember most about my experience here was when I was walking down the aisle to exit the arena. Dawg fans came up to me and literally barked in my ears like dogs. Okay... About three months after that game, we advanced to the NCAA Final Four and national championship game (2004). About nine months after that, we got our revenge against UGA at Alexander Memorial Coliseum in Atlanta (https://www.yelp.com/biz/alexander-memorial-coliseum-atlanta). Tech, ranked 4th in the country at the time, beat Georgia, 87-49. It was a real butt whooping. As a college basketball arena, I thought Stegeman was fine. If anything was memorable about it, it seemed a bit dated at the time. Over $20 million in renovations have been made since 2010 with the latest work to modernize the facility completed in 2017. The Steg currently has a capacity of 10,523, making it the 4th smallest basketball arena in the SEC (out of 14 arenas). Only Florida, Ole Miss, and Auburn have smaller venues.

He was incredibly defensive when some of my classmates asked him to elaborate on the sources of some of the questionable "historical" information he was spouting off. Treated the enslaved people who lived there like they were props for his little anecdotes, and at one point said that many of them stayed with the family after slavery was abolished because they allegedly loved it there. The website for this house says it advocates for the preservation of history, but it seems to me that the people who run it care much more about maintaining the glamour of the Antebellum era and that the South was in perfect harmony prior to the secession. Do not visit if history is really important to you.

If you're a beginner aerialist, you'd probably have a fine experience here for the most part…read more However, for more experienced aerialists coming from somewhere else, you're going to be put through the wringer and have to jump through a lot of hoops (pun not intended) that you wouldn't have to jump through at other aerial facilities. That is, unless you already know the staff there. 1) They expect everyone to start with beginner trapeze -- or at least they did for a long time. First, I'm not a beginner. I'm not advanced, mind you, but definitely intermediate. Second, trapeze wasn't my apparatus of choice, and it seems silly to *only* offer beginner trapeze classes. 2) They expect everyone to be able to go to the exact same time slot for whatever class you enroll in indefinitely. EX: If your beginner trapeze class is at 6p on a Monday, well, during the next session when you have to enroll again in Trapeze 2, it's *only* going to be offered at 6p on a Monday. You have to move up with your fellow students in the same class. For someone like me whose schedule changes every few months, that's just not feasible. So, my chances of getting anywhere beyond "beginner" are slim because I can't adhere to their time slot. 3) They really don't like people testing in to more advanced classes. They get really weird about it, and some of the staff have been less than pleasant about it. And they want you to take costly private lessons in order to, "catch up," even though you likely already know a lot of what you need to or could adapt really quickly. 4) Their communication is terrible. EX: one person will say you're okay to come to a certain class, and another person will say you're not allowed. 5) They don't have open practice for anything other than trapeze and pole. How are you supposed to get better at anything when you can't come in to practice what you've learned...? I'm just not a fan. So much so that I drive an hour away to go to aerial classes at a facility that's much more welcoming and accommodating.
