The librarians there were awesome on my visit (they are the heros in masks behind the "Ask Me" signs). I found them helping non-technology users finding the free internet on their phones. And who doesn't love a library that has great bike racks AND a bike repair station? It's between the library and parking lot.

Also, the people have helped me in the past with any questions I might have about any books, or anything whatsoever. A bonus, it is not a long ways from my house.

Each window view (other that the ones facing west) was scenic. Ramsey County took down the trees and built this crappy, uninteresting rectangular block instead. The fake "fireplace" is really a joke (I know laughing out loud in the library is frowned upon). The outlook out to the south is now the ugly 97 highway. Still, it houses the books and everything else that the RCL offers, just in a ugly rectangle.

There's plenty to entertain and for children to learn and enjoy. We did a scavenger hunt and earned a hand stamp. They have an outdoor space for warmer weather that you can enter from the children's area. They even have a very cool peg light up board kind of like light brite. I also couldn't believe their selection of books! Wow! For adults they even have certain popular books you can rent for a certain amount each day which entices you to bring back as soon as you're done.

One of my favorite Hennepin county library branches because of the wonderful kids library/section…read more The kids library section has an exploration station that changes out quarterly for kids to explore and learn. There are also comfy couches for reading and toys to play with. There is a wonderful childrens librarian who coordinates story time and other age appropriate activities. Two things to note: 1) getting in and out of the parking lot is sometimes hard going east on broadway. 2) this branch is closed on Sundays

So I am a Bibliophile (lover of books), always up to check out yet another library. But I have to…read morerave about the HCL at St. Anthony: Yes, I know it's smack in a strip mall.. Yes, it is smaller than other more ostentatious branches.. Yes, it doesn't have EVERY book you could conceivably want/need (but they will help you order it).. My greatest compliment I could offer is the knowledge and helpfulness of the library staff. For instance, today while returning books from Ramsey County as well as Hennepin County, the friendly/approachable female librarian explained how the return of other library loans work (thank you!). Thank you to the unnamed librarian today at St. Anthony (your name should be Marian)! One note that I didn't know: Currently, there is no charge to fax materials from the library (see photo).

Decided to check out more libraries this year. Was in the area and decided to stop in…read more It's a smaller location, so not as much seating options, if you needed to study or work for bit. Smaller selection of books as well. They did have a decent movie collection & music. Very quiet & staff were really nice.
