I get the feeling it was a private course and they would probably like to stay private but need the money of the general public and for that reason I feel as though they have a little bit of a attitude toward nonmembers playing there. When asking the woman in the pro shop about getting paired up she said there was no one else playing if I wanted to pair up with other people (which I did want to) then I should go over to River Valley Ranch because they are busier and I would probably get paired up. Also when I asked about if they had GPS on the golf carts or yardage books or any maps of the golf course(because we have never been there), her reply was no but they do have them at River Valley Ranch maybe you should go there. And oddly enough my golf cart died after 13 holes and I had to limp back to the pro shop and swap carts. I think that's kind of ironic considering that there was really nobody there but yet I had a dead golf cart. So even though I love the golf course, I think it's overpriced for the service and the lack of amenities. Maybe they'll get enough money to go private again and they'll all be happy.

That would've put us at the golf course at 3 o'clock when we called to explain we were gonna be late. They said they were not hold the golf cart for 15 minutes explained that the course was wide open according to the reservations, we are experience, golfers, and seriously doubt if we take two hours to play that nine holes of golf also offered that I would give them my phone number and we would end around short if needed. We are recently in a very serious car accident and I'm unable to walk the course. My wife even has a handicap placard to show that she's unable to walk that far. I am very disappointed in the lack of consideration, considering the long drive that we were prepared to do and the fact that the reason we were gonna be 15 minutes late was because of a road closure for over an hour. Is this really how you treat your customers I will make sure that everyone I know, including every golf course, golf store, instructor, a travel person I know is aware of how you care about your customers. Putting Greens where average but in great shape, the fairways where in great shape. Chipping was a dream with the grass long enough to get under the ball with moving a bunch of dirt and having to reseed the divot. The driving t's where well placed. Getting the ball down the faiway was easy as the fairways where wide enought to allow for my sometimes bad drives. long fairwasy and a course that seemed to go on forever, not all put together on a small peice of property. Best of all this place is high moutain golfing, which means the beauty of the place was outstanding. Playeres where very few on the course. We where able to get right on to evey hole and play at a very fast rate, not having to wait for others to finish thier hole. Last but not least is the price, Where I live around Vail the price for golf is high, which many times not getting to play because of the cost. So getting to play a course at what seems a normal rate was a treat. I think I will be making the drive more ofton now that I have expierenced the awsome golf course, well worth the trip.

Unfortunately the senior clubs were some beat up old Titleists so stay away from those. The rangers did keep play moving which I greatly appreciated. Some people spend too much time and psychic energy bonding with their golf balls and slow down play. You will definitely lose a few balls on this course so just expect it, live with it and keep moving. With the thick vegetation and the meandering creek these balls are gone forever so just let them go. II'd play here again anytime!

So since the twilight was only $100, I decided to fork over the cash and enjoy a round on a beautiful course tucked into the mountains. Course was kept up very well. The views were amazing. Lots of elevation changes. I rented clubs as well and they were very nice (Taylormade). Beer cart lady was on the course. She offered snacks, beers, soft drinks, and liquor. I wish I could play golf on courses like this all the time. I typically play up at Cape Royale on Lake Livingston. No comparison. If you get a chance, spend the money and play golf in Colorado during the summer. All the courses I passed on 71 in the many ski resort towns looked very nice.
