A number of years ago I switched from being a long time client at another dentist office. I had no concerns with this dental clinic but decided to find one closer to home. I was not disappointed with my decision to change dental practices. The staff have all been great. At my most recent visit, Melanie took care of me. She really deserves a shout out. She was very pleasant, did everything she could to make my dental experience as painless as possible. I was so impressed with her kindly demeanor that I wanted to thank her. Melanie you are a keeper. I had to go back and do they're job for them ask for my prescriptions and a next appointment . And they're crooks , they tell you everything is covered until your next visit , that's when they'll say" oh you have a small balance owing " so please pay up . Worse dentist and clinic I've been too they are lost and don't know where they are !! Waste of time and money . After a recommendation from a friend, I chose this Dental Office. I had Kristin as my Hygienist and she put my mind at ease and made me very comfortable right from the start. She was very personable and friendly, but more importantly, she was very gentle and considerate around my teeth and very thorough. In fact it seems a little silly to review a dentist, but that is how fantastic Dr. Dan Meyer at Edgemont Dental is. He is so skilled that he seems to finish the dental work needed in the time that my previous dentists took to do the 'prep' work. He also only does what is absolutely needed, and doesn't try to 'upsell' you on work - a practice that made me think of some of my previous dentist as used car salesmen. (Sorry used car salesmen.) He is extremely skilled and obviously takes pains to stay current on best practices. He and his staff are also very, very personable and friendly. Not sure if they even accept new patients, but if you're lucky enough to get in, make Edgemont Dental your dentist!

In the Alberta where dental fees are not regulated and we pay the highest dental fee in the country, all I ask is that we get treated right at the appointment and not be a waste of my time. The appointments were on-time and I felt like my business was valued there. Also, booking the appointment, they try to fit you in within a reasonable time frame. With my current dentist retiring, I was in the market for a new one and I came here on…read morerecommendation. I went in for a cleaning and a check up and the cleaning was not done well compared to other cleanings I've had. It felt like the bare minimum was done. Usually, the hygienist goes in with the pick to clear out all the stuff that get stuck at the top of the tooth, but they didn't. I was also given all the expensive frills without asking me ($30 fluoride rinse, unnecessary $150 X-Rays), which I later found out how expensive they were once the bill came due. Typical of all dentists offices, they'll ask if you're covered, and if you are they'll just give you everything so the bill is over $500 in order to make your visit as profitable for them as possible. I don't mind if procedures are explained to me (what the cost is, why I need it, etc.) so I can make an informed decision, but I don't appreciate my money being spent without asking or explanation because I'm covered. Never going back.
