Since moving back to Calgary last year, I have been seeing Dr. Nagra at Ambiance Dental in Bankers Hall. At my first visit I was immediately blown away by how welcoming, professional, organized, and skilled all of the staff are at this dental office. Being located in Bankers Hall, the location is extremely convenient for almost any downtown busy professional. The office uses the latest and greatest technology for assessments, cleaning, and other procedures. As most patients are downtown professionals that have very busy days, the office is very accommodating and punctual. Dr. Nagra was warm, welcoming, took the time to go through the assessment of all my teeth, and explained any issues while taking the time to listen to all my concerns. Her and her staff then came up with a solid go forward plan that suited my needs. The office also knows the ins and outs of all insurance plans and health spending accounts and is mindful on the best timing/logistics of procedures to ensure patients pay the minimum out of pocket expense. I was impressed by the whole team of Ambiance Dental. There's such a positive energy among the team members, that creates a friendly and welcoming environment. Making one feels at ease and comfortable. Taking away any nervousness. At Ambiance Dental, one is taken care of more personally. On my second visit, I was greeted by my name as I came across each personnel. They always find time for a quick chat and cracking some jokes. Making you part of the team. I attended Ambiance Dental for my first visit yesterday. I chose this clinic mainly for their central downtown location and I'm so glad I did. Dr. Rose Nagra provided me with a detailed & thorough examination-she spent 45 minutes going over my x-rays, discussing her findings using terminology that I could understand and finally establishing a treatment plan that fits in my schedule. I also had the pleasure of having my teeth cleaned by Winnie who is one of the Hygienist's at the clinic. She spent over an hour with me gently cleaning my teeth and then giving me a lesson on proper flossing and brushing techniques. I was shocked at the amount of time Dr. Nagra and Winnie spent with me and any hesitations I had about seeing the dentist were quickly erased yesterday. I had an amazing experience at Ambiance Dental. The staff was wonderful and very patient with my requests. The dentists were insightful and extremely knowledgeable. This was probably the most endearing appointment I've ever had at a dentist office. They focused on getting the results I wanted while having respect for my dental health. They educated me that what I wanted (porcelain veneers) could be very traumatic to my teeth, replacement would be needed every 10 years, and quite expensive. Other cheaper options were given to me that would still reach the results I wanted. I really appreciate their honesty and transparency which you don't see very often with company's looking to make the most amount of money from a customer. Ambiance is an excellent dental practice in every way from appointment booking to the actual in the chair experience and follow up. I was dental office phobic before I went to Ambiance, and I have now been going there for 6 or 7 years, and I have never had a bad experience there. Everyone there is pleasant, considerate, friendly and very good at their jobs. Dr Nagra and Dr Wasik are both excellent dentists, gentle and skilled and willing to take extra time when needed to make sure the work is done the best it can be, and to make sure I am in comfort, which requires a little extra effort as I have reduced mouth opening due to car accident injuries from a few years back. I have been a patient of Dr. Wasik's since he took over from my previous dentist who retired. He is an excellent dentist and his staff are always professional and friendly. My three children are also under his care and everyone has been happy with their experiences. Dr. Wasik provided some cosmetic work to me and my son by lengthening our teeth to make up for some nasty grinding habits. What a difference it made to our smiles! Instead of spending thousands of dollars in veneers etc. our teeth looked terrific after the cosmetic work. He is always careful to make sure the bite is "just so" and when I asked to have some additional shaping to my mouth guard, he was happy to do it. As a person who freaks out before every visit, I feel like my (unreasonable) fear is taken seriously and Dr. Nagra and Robyn H. always take their time to make me feel as comfortable as possible and explain everything that is going to happen which is really appreciated. The ladies at the front desk are always welcoming and with a smile on their face. Another thing that I appreciate is that there is no pressure to book the next appointment right away because they understand that dental care is financially challenging. My experiences at Ambiance Dental have been excellent! I have lived in Calgary for 30-years, and in that time I have tried several dentists throughout the city. Dr Wasik and his team at Ambiance Dental have really raised the bar for me. They provide quality service, their clinic is comfortable, and I feel that my dental needs are really being taken care of in the best way possible. For someone as cheap as I am, I normally would give a place with a slightly higher price range less stars, but I honestly cannot with good conscience when it comes to this place. Such service! Beautifully kept and easily accessible downtown office, super nice and accessible dentists and hygenists, professional billing direct to most insurance companies... I honestly cannot say enough good things. I wish dental work were cheaper but that's not reality, and this place is a bit higher than your run of the mill dental work place, but IMO if your insurance covers your work, GO HERE. For sure. Trusting the people that care for my oral health is the main reason I chose to go to Ambience Dental Clinic. I am a difficult patient with high expectations and big issues with freezing and gagging. The skill set and competence of Dr Wasik and his staff has afforded me the courage to pursue treatment, which up until I met him, took me 15 years to allow anyone to redo my badly worn out fillings. I have been a long time customer of Andrew Wasik and Ambiance Dental. I have enjoyed his attention to detail and his honesty. For example when work is required that is not in his sweet spot he recommends a specialist and they have all been top quality. I have also had some crown work done, and Andrew has done an excellent job of matching color to my existing teeth, and using a texture on the crowns to reflect light properly. I transitioned to Dr Wasik when my Dentist retired after 30 years. I love the practice Dr Wasik has introduced of offering music to keep me calm while in the chair.Water & Juice refreshments are also offered. He offers the leading edge of technology and solutions to my dental needs and the "ambiance" of the office is a credit to him and his courteous friendly staff. The hours are great as well. Great customer service experience! They were running late the day of my visit, so they called and let me know to come 30 minutes later - and gave me a Starvucks gift card for the inconvenience. At the appointment, Robyn and Dr Wasik tried to make me (an anxious patient) as comfortable as possible, knowing that I didn't like all the stuff in my mouth on a previous visit. Wonderful dentist office. Our hygienist Sandra is the BEST and has totally inspired me to have a healthy daily routine... flossing and all! The reception team even hung out with my baby for an hour and half so that I could enjoy the appointment. My baby had so much fun with them too!
