The best part, is that my son is starting to speak more words and sing songs when he is at home. Thank you Kathy, Yesi, and other teachers as well! At the very beginning of the month my daughter was suspended for behavior even though I believe the teacher mishandled the situation. I decided to pull her from the school since it was her last month and I was told I would be refunded for the tuition I paid for May, nearly $1,200 since she only attended 2 days that month. When my follow up calls weren't actively being ignored I was told by office staff that the director Kris handled financing and would call me back. This went on for months before I gave up on being refunded. Months later I'm still upset with how they handled the situation. They discussed my personal information with my family who also had a child enrolled and even issued her a partial refund when she parted ways early, but not me. I feel disrespected by the situation and because of that I would never recommend this daycare to anyone I know personally.

I went here today for Global Volunteer Day that the company I work at is doing, and within the three and a half hours of hard manual labor tilling, digging, and raking a 40 foot by 15 rectangle of grass, I was able to appreciate just how nice the place is. If I had a kid, I would definitely not mind having my kid go here for K through 5th. Instead of chicken wire fences back in my day, new Pleasant Valley schools have thick black bars that look tamer but are much more effective to keep away the bad and keep the kids safe and corraled. Maybe I can eventually mosey my way over here to Village at the Park in Camarillo as a possible future settling. I think the average student debt upon graduation was a few thousand dollars? I have since been trying to convince my high school age daughter, subtly of course, that this is the college for her! I came here once to see a play that was in the black box theater. That was at night time so I didn't get to check out the campus very much. But it was really pretty at night- there are a lot of strung lights around the small streets. Makes it seem very intimate and inviting. Another time, I came during the day just to drive around and check out the various buildings/layout. I believe this site was an old state hospital? You can still see some of the old buildings versus the new ones. It all comes together really nicely I think. I came for another visit last weekend & walked around the campus with my daughter. It was a Sunday and we were looking for a non-crowded place to get outdoors, as we are trying to practice social distancing while getting some fresh air. I'm happy to say my daughter really enjoyed walking around this campus. It's really open and there's plenty of parking, plenty of visibility for sure. My review doesn't include anything about the academia of the school from personal experience, although I have read great things about it and know a few people that have gone here and enjoyed their experience (they were all gainfully employed, as well). I'm glad to have this lovely campus near us to visit and enjoy walking around. Oh, and my pup loved her walk here as well. Keeping fingered crossed that my daughter gives it a deeper look come college time!

What a wonderful school! My daughter graduated from 8th grade last year and my son is going into…read more2nd grade this year. The teachers are so dedicated and are a very positive influence on the kids. The parents are SUPER involved in every aspect of the school and it really shows! Since this is a Science and Arts Magnet school now, the kids really get involved with projects they might not do otherwise. Highly recommended!
