So I took my car here today for a regular wash and the first thing the attendant said to me was that I would need to get this detailed because of "tree sap on the hood". He said that the charge would be $70 because "$50 of that would be needed to buy a new brush after it was used on the car". I asked to speak to his manager, and he said that he was "off for today". He then walked away from me and refused to talk with me any further. I then drove to Encinitas Car Wash, paid $18.99 for a regular wash and this is the result below. Oh goodness!! I did not see the reviews before getting my car washed. I stopped to get gas and saw the prices were reasonable so decided to take it in. Person who wrote my ticket up wanted to sell me a wax service. I said no thank you, just the platinum package which includes everything. I was excited because the guys who were washing my car before going through the wash were doing a god job. But that was about all the good of it. Person who dried my car did a horrible job. I paid for dressing inside and out, air freshener, detailed drying to include windows and all were left horribly. No dressing inside to the dashboard or leather, no air freshener, and windows full of streaks. It literally took them less than 10 minutes to finish my car. Sad. Will never come back here again if in the area. I gave a tip to the person who worked on my car, but later regretted after seeing the horrible job they did. Haven't been back for a while and unfortunately have to agree with so many other reviewers that the cost has gone up significantly and the service down. I got their gold wash which was now $30, and for a good hand wash I could deal with that. Unfortunately, not only was there still white bird poop the size of a quarter on the hood of my blue car (not sure how you miss that), but there was still bugs and dirt all of the front and back of the car, which when I point it out they use their window clear to wipe it off. After doing that I notice they damage my wrap in two places. The gold wash was also supposed to include tire dressing that was never done, which I noticed when seeing that the wheels themselves were still filthy as if they were never cleaned. I don't write complaints. But I am so livid right now. I can't even believe this car wash. I just spent $180 for a detail. The car came out literally with dirt on it. I took my fingernails to take off some of the dirt as the guy stood there 180 dollars down the toilet. The guy sold me this as a detailed service that they would use a buffer to take out the light scratches. Have they used a buffer the dirt would've come off I was literally sitting there picking it off . They didn't open the doors to the car. The seats weren't done. Speed out of there now! Horrible business. I took my car here today to get an interior detail. I was quoted 200 so I asked for something less. He said for 160 he would do a mini detail inside. I thought that was too high but I have been wanting a nice detail for awhile so I decided to go for it. I came back an hour later to get my car. My car had been vacuumed, yet there was plenty of dirt everywhere and it barely had been wiped down. I was confused and asked what was done since I had paid for a detail, but the guy could not tell me. He just looked through the car and would try to avoid my question. So I would repeatedly ask because I actually was very curious and he would continue to open my doors and look around without saying anything and then finally said "okay yah give me 20 minutes". I said "no what would you do in 20 minutes to give me my 160 worth?" And he wouldn't respond. I think he had hoped if He didn't respond I would just give up and drive away. I told him I would like a refund and I will pay for just a car wash. He repeatedly told me he could not do that. So I asked if there was a manager. He said "no not today, the manager will be here tomorrow". (I found out later, he is the manager!!) So I went inside and spoke to the cashiers and I could tell this was not the first time this had happened. They handled it well and helped me and spoke to the manager I had just been speaking to and I finally got my refund but paid for the basic car wash. I will NEVER be back there again. I went in this morning for a car wash. I just wanted to give a bit shout out to the manager who helped me when I thought the guys had accidentally damaged my car. He was kind, thorough (looking at the camera footage with me) and walked with me the whole way to make sure I was satisfied that they did not cause the damage. The cherry on top was having his guy buff out the spot where some jerk must have bumped me at the gym earlier that morning. That was really going the extra mile and was such a kind thing to do, it looks so much better after that. I will continue coming to this car wash and appreciate how hard they work! read more

I have been using Rancho Car Wash for 20 years.- for all four of our cars. Today when I took my truck down for a car wash they wanted to charge me $35 for the basic wash. Usually they charge $19.99 and I have a coupon for $2.50. They said they have a new policy for 2023, charge $5 extra for a truck and $10 extra for mud. 60% increase in price is not acceptable and I will find a car wash that is more reasonable. read more

Would give zero stars, quoted me $260 for their detailing. Complete waste of money. Smudges everywhere and dirt all over the inside of the car. Lots of cleaning gel left all over different parts of the interior. Seats were still dirty as well and all they told me was there was nothing they could do about it (ending up cleaning the seats myself later on just fine). Also completely ruined and tarnished the leather grain of my steering wheel, to this day little bits of rubber and residue are falling off of it. Unbelievable to pay that much money for a car wash to have it be completely subpar. I have to admit that I didn't think it was possible to leave a car wash with a dirtier car than when you arrived, but Rancho Car Wash impressed me by doing just that. The nice thing was that after one look the manager apologized gave me a voucher for a free car wash - which I used a week later with my wife's car. Unfortunately when I came in the second time I experienced the exact same situation. I had VERY LOW expectations the second time I went in, but it was really laughable how bad of a job they did. I showed my wife when I got home and she didn't believe me that I took it to get washed. Took our car in this morning and purchase the gold wash. They did a horrible job. Vacuum job was minimal at best - still had dirt on the floor mats and dog hair on the seats. They never even wiped down the interior. We were in a huge rush to leave and didn't have time to stay and have it corrected, but holy cow for a $25 car wash they could've done a whole lot better. He told me he would be in on a different date then what he originally told me. I feel like I am giving too high of a rating with one star. My car wash was $25.99 which was to include a hand wash with a basic interior cleaning, vacuum and tire dressing. First thing I noticed is that my wheels had grease and dirt all over them. I ran my finger across the wheel and it was completely black, so the guy saw me and leaned down to presumably wipe the wheels as I was sitting in the car. He motioned me to pull forward so that they could get another car out to dry. I pulled out of the parking lot and got out to look at my car. I had to wipe all of the wheels myself as they were still completely dirty And also dry the side of my car from all of the water spots that came out of my mirrors which he did not completely blow dry. The interior of my car does not appear to be vacuumed or wiped down at all and worst of all is that I have a scratch on the hood of my NEW car which they are saying they didn't do. read more

All employees I encountered said they could not help and they can't control what the owner decides. There are far better car washes off both Del Mar Heights and Birmingham. What is even worse is the ownership here has no concern for the quality of their product and if you challenge them or complain about your wash they become defensive and threatening. This is a car wash and CHEVRON gas station right off the freeway if you're headed to LA from San Diego. VERY convenient location and I was very pleased to use it to get gas. The hours posted on this business represent the car was and not the gas station so don't worry, gas is here standard type hours for this kind of business. The staff I met was friendly and the bathroom was tolerable. There were plenty of snacks and drinks in the convenience store as well as some of the things you typically find in a car wash shop - greeting cards, air fresheners etc. Gas prices were fine and the location was clean and well lit. SKETCHy! Let me first start by saying that I get my car washed every 2-3 weeks, i also don't drive very often. I live in LA and pay about $25-30 every time i get a car wash, which is around what this place charges. Im from San Diego so I happen to be in town and told my mom I wanted to sell my car, she said, let's get it washed and take some pretty pictures, so we did. We got to Rancho Car Wash around 4:20ish and told the manager who greeted us, to wash it super nicely bc we wanted to sell it. You can see on the images below I paid even EXTRA so they could make it look good ( I wasn't looking for a fine detail, but to look extra good). We went to grab coffee across the street and walked right back, by the time we go back the car was already 'ready'- the inside was still dirty, we asked the guy to help us vacuum (this is normal) then we kept noticing more and more spots, stains and even SOAP or residue on all the tires. We asked for a manager and were told he was already gone, at that point we left. We drove exactly 1.2 miles to the beach to take pictures and that is where most this photos were taken. I called the very next day and the owner called me back, asked for the video, didn't hear back from him. It's been over 12 days so I called to check again, honestly at that point just wanted a refund. The owner flipped the whole conversation to make it seem as this was somehow my fault? "maybe your car was too dirty? - not, it wasn't , you should have asked for a manager- i was told he was gone. you drove it too far that's why it got dirty - i literally drove it down the street'. I asked him if he was proud of the work/experience and honestly he didn't care to bother take ownership on the fact that this was in fact a very bad $50 car wash. Ok well I've been coming to this car wash for around 4 yrs because it is close to home. It is expensive. Most times the windows are not done very well and still have bird poop on car and windows. But I kept going back and for $25 I'm expecting to at least have a basic cleaning. Today I went by and my luck it literally started to rain while my car was getting dried. I ask someone do you give rain checks and he said I'll ask then came back and said he said no whoever he is! Not satisfied I went inside and ask the cashier and she was like ya we give rain checks I'll be right back. A five star review for a gas station with a car wash? You betchoass! The Bf and I are selling one of our vehicles (Too much gas for his commute) and wanted to get it detailed before selling. There was a dark dirt and mud stain, maybe even oil and who knows what else in the back when we bought it and we've tried 3 times to get it professionally shampooed out to no avail. Today at this car wash they managed to do it! Amazing! It was the best detail either one of us have had on one of our vehicles and the stain is totally gone. It looks amazing now. The guy handling our wash was so excited about his work and the successful removal that he came out before the car was even done to take us back and show us.
