This place is delicious, and one of only two restaurants I've found that offer authentic Mexican food. Both my non-vegetarian husband and I found delicious items on the menu, and the service was very good. The wait times are a bit too long but that won't stop me from going back.

Rancho Chico was recommended to me by a local who said this restaurant is the best authentic Mexican food which it was. We, daughter and i, were pleasantly surprised how many cars and people were there at 5:00pm Friday. Good indication food is good! Plenty parking was seated and greeted as soon as we stepped in very friendly staff.

Been driving by here for years without stopping by until this year, I'm so glad we decided to stop by and check it out. The customer service is top notch and the food and prices are so great. The food is always freshly made and the portions are very generous. Very family friendly atmosphere.

Oh how we missed Rancho Chico since moving away from St. Cloud. Visited yesterday with the family and as usual food and service never disappoints. I know I myself was skeptical about trying this place due to previous reviews but I'm so glad I decided to give it a shot. I really love rancho chico and the staff! It was a family members birthday and the staff made it so funny and special for us. Love it!

Good customer service. Large plates for cheap prices. A favorite spot for the Locals in St. Cloud area. Good place for large families. Great for drinks and Mexican food. Not far from the Turnpike. Awesome large outdoor seating for larger parties. Complimentary Chips and Fresh salsa that you can see the diced onions, tomatoes, and cilantro. Homemade chips. Chicken Taquitos are delicious. The Mexican Pizza is also really good. Chimichanga is perfectly crispy with cheese dip on the top! The Lambrusco Margarita is refreshing and delicious and you can get it on the rocks or frozen. Always support your local spots!

Great food, great service, great prices! First time here and decided to give it a chance. I loved every bit of it! I am originally from San Antonio and very picky about my Mexican food - but finally I found a place I can love. They have lunch specials every day from 11-3, which is when we went, and couldn't believe how affordable it is.

I came here with my family on a random weekday and honestly it was all we were hoping for and maybe more. The food was tasty, the portions were large, the margs were tasty and large too, and it was just perfect for a family dinner. I honestly haven't eaten out at many restaurants in this area but I'd go back to Rancho Chico!

When your bestie wants Mexican Food for her birthday this is the only place she wants. You get so much good for your money (leftovers are great the next day for lunch). I ordered the 2 burritos meal (1 beef,1 chicken) it came with rice, beans and a salad. The food here is always delicious, the staff is very friendly and the drinks a always good!!

We came here for a friends birthday and the food was amazing. The service needs a little work but overall terrific food and drinks. Our server seemed a little busy so it took him forever to take our drink orders and then forever for us to receive our drinks. We got our liquor before our water and not all of us got waters. Half of our large group was already seated so the chips and salsa were half gone. We asked for more and they never came until we asked again. Thankfully when they did come they were hot and fresh. Service needs work but it was late at night and perhaps they were understaffed. They made up for it when they brought out piping hot, fresh food and sang a charismatic Happy Birthday to our friend and placed a huge sombrero on her head. Most importantly the food here is delicious, authentic Mexican dishes! The portions are huge. The food is fresh! The quality is superb and you will leave very happy and full. We also ordered lots of Margaritas and I gotta say....these are some of the best I've ever had and the prices are very fair. I look forward to coming here again in a smaller group.

My favorite part is you can do flights. I ordered three soup and two slider flight. Soups: tomato basil and lobster bisque. Both were good alone but they mixed well too. The bisque was one of the better ones I've had. I could actually taste the basil in the tomato basil. Sliders: chicken salad and pimento cheese. Both were good, but alone without soup they're just ok. The best part of the sliders is they come on Hawaiian rolls. I would definitely go again since I love soup.

**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morelike to consider myself, at times, a connoisieur of soups. I love them all, and I don't even mean just the ones most people know of, but ones that are often passed over simply because they are not known. Good example: the savory cold soups that are meant to be cold, not just a hot soup you serve cold because you're lazy to wait a minute for it to warm up in a microwave. I will even go as far as to say that I love chili with beans... and without. Doesn't matter. It is a chucky soup. I like creamy soup. I like chunky soup. I like chunky and creamy soup. I like soup... and kudos to anyone who got the classic Eddie Murphy stand-up comedy joke right there. Anyways, The Soup Shop in, what I will call the part of Melbourne between Suntree and Melbourne Major (where Historic Downtown Melbourne) is located, right near the Eastern Florida State College Melbourne campus, is the original location (that I know of). I have been a couple of times, and every single time, it has been great. As a matter of fact, the Soup Shop answers that question I've asked which is, "What if there was a restauant that served an array of soups I can choose from?" Questioned answered and with flying colors, too. Pertaining to its ambiance, the Soup Shop doesn't exactly stand out compared to some of the decor these new restaurants seem to push as part of their experience. Instead, their decor is simplistic, but they so happen to really promote and push one particular artist as her paintings are all over the walls of the restaurant. As for the soup, I decided to get the flight, which is a sample (flight) size of three soups of your choice. Certain soups do have a specialty upcharge, specifically the bisques, and some can't be made in such because of how they are prepared, specifically the ramen. Despite that, there are a wide array of soup choices to choose from. You now, chunky soup, creamy soup, chunky and creamy soup. And to be serious for a moment, they also have soups that cater to special dietary needs. I saw a whole cooler full of ready-to-warm-up soups for bariatrics. As for the prices, they are not bad all. I think the soup flight was about $12, which is not bad at all for three soups a little bigger than a cup but smaller than a bowl. They also serve other food items such as sandwiches and desserts. My suggestion: the grilled cheese. Definitely pair it with the tomato soup. Ultimately, I am going to give the OG Soup Shop four out of five stars. They were outstanding the two times I went, but I need to try more of their food to see if they are consistent... because most people know that my fifth star is awarded after reviews (unless I've been to a business more than let's say five times) and they are consistent. I truly think The OG Soup Shop will be consistent, but you never know.

**INITIAL REVIEW **…read more The Soup Shop located in central Melbourne, which I will say is the area between Eau Gallie and Suntree, is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in the mid-Melbourne area, the area between Eau Gallie and Suntree. I mean, it is a restaurant that sells soup, and I mean more than one soup or even more than the common numbers of two to five soups. Think twenty soups or more. Ergo, when I found out that another Soup Shop location would open in West Melbourne, FL, I was excited. Not only would one of my favorite restaurants have another location available, but this one so happens to be closer to me. The question is if this new location would be as good as the OG. Despite not being a 1-to-1 of excellence to the OG, this new location is still excellent. Though an address is provided, the new Soup Shop location is located in the Palm Crossing Shopping Center a.k.a. Publix Shopping Plaza West Melbourne on Palm Bay Rd. (because to be fair, all the best shopping plazas in Florida happen to be Publix shopping plazas). If it helps, the new Apocalypse Coffee Roasters location is also in the same plaza. Upon entering the locale, it is like walking into a cozy nook you'd like to sit in and enjoy a book. Multiple two-person seating is available up front with one on the eastside. I usually sit on the eastside table as it is closest to the fountain dispenser, as all fountan drinks have free refills. As for service, the ladies working there are great, especially the team lead/manager who works on weekdays. I definitely like how she initiates conversation by asking about the t-shirt you are wearing. I was wearing my "EXPLORE" shirt and she asked me what it is I am exploring. Usually, it would be geocaches and/or letterboxes, but at the time, soup flavors! Which brings me to the six flavors of soup I had via the flight. Yes. The Soup Shop serves flights (and that is all the locations from what I know, too). I had the Dragon Stew, chili, chicken gumbo, tomato soup, creamy garlic tomato soup, and she crab bisque. Details of the soups are in the pics, but definitely loved the tomato soups especially with their fantastic grilled cheese sandwich they have on their menu. And on a sidenote: the restroom was unisex and clean. Definitely no drips on the floor or anything like that. Ultimately, I am going to give this Soup Shop - West Melbourne, four out of five stars. All and all, they are excellent, but we'll have to see if they are consistent. If they are consistently excellent, not perfect, just excellent, they'll get their fifth star for consistency.

The chicken and beef soup dumplings were mediocre and needed the chili oil to be better, especially the chicken ones. The beef pan-fried dumplings made me feel ill; not only were they pretty greasy, but they also lacked flavor. The shrimp fried rice was nothing special. The decor of the restaurant very much embodies the name. It gives all the zen vibes. I love that you can see through the glass the chefs making the soup dumplings. The service was spectacular. We were walked through the menu and everything was thoroughly explained. I started with a glass of the house pinot grigio which was crisp. We ordered several things so we could try an assortment of menu options. The beef pancake roll was yummy. The sampler of the soup dumplings is the way to go. It gives you option to try 6 flavors. My favorites were pork and chicken. They were so fresh and beyond flavorful. Also, we ordered the Mongolian Beef plate that comes over rice. So much meat and very good. The bao bites were yummy. This was more than enough food for 2 people plus plenty of leftovers. I thought the whole experience of dinner was fantastic.

First, the staff deserves credit--their energy and kindness were 10/10. The person I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The food itself was good, but I was disappointed that my order was made incorrectly. I specifically asked for only tomatoes and pickles on my burger, but it came with cheese and a sauce. Luckily, I was planning to eat just the patty, so I was able to rinse it off, but if I had intended to eat it as a regular burger, it would have completely ruined the meal as the bun was covered in the sauce. My sub was excellent, and I appreciated the staff's sauce recommendations. However, I was surprised that the homemade sauce came with a $1.10 charge for each side of sauce--that feels pretty excessive. To make matters worse, I didn't even receive one of the sauces I paid for. I understand they are homemade but it is a 1.5 oz container... My biggest disappointment, though, was the chips. It may sound minor, but when a meal is priced and advertised as a complete meal, you'd expect a reasonable portion. The "side" of chips was literally about seven whole chips' worth, mostly crushed into pieces. It was especially disappointing when compared to the portion of fries. Overall, the food has a lot of potential, and the staff was fantastic, but the incorrect order, extra sauce charges, missing sauce, and tiny chip portion really took away from the experience. My advice: upgrade the chips so you actually get a side, double-check your order before you leave (even if there's no one else in there) , and be aware that the sauces cost extra.
