We love this place. Open and airy grounds. Jenny and Tom keep the camping grounds clean daily. They are very nice and friendly too.

Take my review with a pinch of salt as I'm still a newbie when it comes to RV Parks. We've stayed at about 5-6 different RV Parks and Rancho Jarupa has been the best so far. We don't use the amenities, basically using it for a place to park our RV n sleep. My son is going to UCR this fall and we've made a few trips down with the RV. We got our exploring during the day, return at night to relax and sleep. We stay on the cottonwood side, RV pads are cemented, level and spacious. We've stayed in spite 241 & 211. 241 doesn't have any shade but works perfect when weather is cooler. Can't really go wrong with any of the sites on Cottonwood side. Checkin is a breeze. They email you the information you need to checkin. They also give you a free visitor vehicle pass. I recommend having the park site map, with it.. it was a breeze finding our spot. The cottonwood area is nicely kept, spacious and not over crowded like the Lakeview side. The people are friendly, it's quiet at night and we'll lit. read more

I've stayed here a few times before. I live in my Airstream, but still pay taxes in Riverside County. I've always loved Rancho Jurupa, it's been clean and beautiful. Nice, clean amenities. This time, it was a nightmare. They didn't have any full hook up spots available for 2 weeks, so I'm in Lakeside with Electric and Water. (They need to add the word 'water' to the website.) I got there at dusk, my site had been watered all day, it was 2 inches of slippery MUD. Then add to the mix, a ton of cigarette butts, beer bottle & plastic caps, dental floss thingys. REALLY???? This place is not cheap, they need to clean the site after each person leaves. Cigarette butts and bottle caps are LITTER, the offenders should be cited or banned from the park. LITTERING should be addressed in the park rules. I just got back from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas....very little trash. Jail birds, were picking up trash along the hiways. Not happy. read more

Having this place so close to home is great - it's a wonderful park. We camped here early March 2020 with a huge group and had a wonderful time on our first visit. We had spot 221 in the Cottonwood Campground - HUGE spots in this area, full hookups, nicely paved, and very well kept - fit our 26ft TT perfectly with room to spare. Even with the rain, the playground and the lake were super fun distractions. Also the staff at the registration/check-in booth was super friendly and nice - that's one of my top measurements of a campground. For us, we usually prefer more 'rural' campgrounds (more used to dry camping in the wilderness), but for a true RV park, this place was wonderful. read more

My husband and I visited Rancho Jurupa Park while looking for a location for his family reunion to take place this summer. This park is huge and has a ton of entertainment offerings for families looking to stay just one day or camp for a few. My only complaint is that there is extremely minimal shade and you'd have to rely on bringing your own. They also only have three shelter areas to rent out which isn't very much for the size of the park. The employee working the entrance booth was so extremely helpful and was willing to answer all of my husband's questions with patience and professionalism. While he is still deciding on the final select location for the reunion, we have already discussed renting out one of the cabins on a long weekend ourselves and making it a trip. read more

This is a terrible park if you're planning on to camp there. Specifically in the Lakeview campground. The trees on the property are NOT maintained. If you have a newer 5th wheel, you will have issues. There is rampant theft that happens at this park and the rangers that are on staff do NOTHING to stop it. They don't even enforce the basic rules on their site or brochure. The night ranger is especially terrible at his job. They do NOT answer phone at night. The Sheriff will NOT come out to this location (as told by the rangers on staff) and if you need something - you'd probably have to call 911 and hope for the best. The trailer next to us had an attempted break-in. Ranger notified and nothing was done. Not even a refund of their space. Trailer next to them had an attempted theft of a electric scooter. List goes on and on. This park has potential to be a good camping spot but as its currently run - I would very much avoid this place. read more

We have stayed here the last week of March for the past 10 years. Originally it was a quiet place for mostly seniors. However, the past few years it's has become the party place for locals. Weekends are constant noise and loud booming music. One weekend a concert somewhere near BOOMED until 2:00 AM. Staff is non-existent except during AM hours. Someone kept knocking on our motorhome and running away every 20 minutes during one hideous weekend night. Our most recent visit we stayed Monday-Wednesday and it was quiet and peaceful. If you want a peaceful experience come during the week. If you want to join in the horror, come be with your ilk on the weekends. read more

Recently went camping over a weekend and the kids had a great time. This was our first time at this park and we randomly booked a campsite in the Lakeview campground and unfortunately it didn't have any shade. So beware of which site you book as there are some sites with great shade, some with ok shade and lots without any shade. However, the proximity to the fishing lake was great and the facilities were very clean for a public campground. I would have given the campground a 4-5* review if not for the continuous breaching of quiet hours (10pm to 6am) by a couple larger groups of campers that lasted till around 3am. We were close to to the camp host sites but they did nothing about the noise all evening. read more

I sure wish I could rate this outstanding camping location better than with just these two stars but if we can't feel safe we simply cannot recommend the place to others. Although every staff member we've ever met there has been outstanding, the facilities & grounds are kept in great shape, and the price to stay there is more than reasonable, the security situation there just isn't up to speed. Long story short; we went there last weekend (3rd visit) and as soon as we arrived we were warned by staff members AND fellow campers that thieves were taking bikes & camping equipment during late night sweeps of the campground. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but we lasted only one night because we had to pack everything up at night to keep it safe. SORRY guys, but we won't return until/unless the wonderful team there can secure the place better. Heck, I wouldn't even complain if the nightly rate needs to be raised in order to secure the place properly. Fingers crossed that they'll be able to make Rancho Jarupa Park safer someday soon!!!!!!! read more

We went camping here with my daughter's Girl Scout troop. We stayed in the lakeview campgrounds and I was very disappointed to find that there were no trees for shade in our campsites. The girls loved the splash pad and it was a good break from the almost 100° weather. During the night, quiet hours were not enforced and other guests were quite loud well past midnight. Bathrooms were a disaster and not kept up. All in all, I do not think I would come back here for tent camping. read more

Love the campground ! I've stayed here many times but it's gotten bad as far as theft. It's bad when they tell you at the gate at check in to not leave anything out, even coolers . The park answers to numbers after 10 pm. Very loud music playing and no one to take care of it. Quiet time at 10 pm....no booming music..so you resort to calling others to take care of noise level at 11 p.m. Just not a good park anymore in my opinion. read more

My favorite park to fish in hands down! They really do a good job keeping up this place. From the landscape to the water park for the kids. Bathrooms are also decent. Compared to several parks I've visited they do a good job. I like this location too because you have alot of trees and areas to grill. First time I went fishing we caught three cat fish. We had a blast and we got there early to get a good location. I have been here atleast four times. 4th of July was a blast we even got to see the firework show off the Mt Rubidoux display. read more

Great place for the family. It was our first time here and the camp grounds were very clean, spacious and great shade. They have RV hook ups and parking for an extra car. Fishing and a water playground for the kids. Which most of the adults enjoy as well. We never knew this place was right over mt. Rubidoux. They have bathrooms and showers. Trash dumpsters are also around the grounds for the end of the day discards. Friendly and helpful service. The prices are very reasonable. They also have bungalows you can rent for the "glamping" experience. Literally like a double wide tiny house. Has stairs leading to the door and also a ramp, front lawn and porch area. It's a nice piece of land a hidden oasis. We made some great family memories here. Looking forward to many more. read more

We have stayed several times at the park and there are several activities for families or couples; fishing at the lake, water park, playgrounds, and mini golf. If you don't tent camp or have an RV they also have several cabins to rent. We prefer the cottonwood campsites over the Lakeside campsites as these have full hookups, concrete pads for parking and lush grass and trees for shade. The lakeside campsites are dirt and lacks grass and tends to be a little loud with music compared to cottonwood. But works ok if cottonwood side is full. They have clean restrooms and laundry facilities. The campground is gated and partially fenced near the Santa Ana river in Rubidoux near Riverside. We haven't had issues with homeless people or theft, which the check in desk warns you to lock up. read more

This literally is a dream of a place to RV camp. Concrete slab parking for your vehicles/RV and picnic bench. Grassy spot with shaded tree all nestled into your own little private spot! The grounds offers it's very own convenience store, (for your convenience of course) selling everything from wood, ice cream, fish bait, first aid, personal hygiene items, snacks, swimsuits, bike rentals, so on and so forth, yada yada yada lol. There are showers and laundry facilities, an 18 hole miniature golf course, 2 playground apparatuses, a very cool splash pad for those hot days, and last but not least, private cabin rentals, fishing lake, and bike trails. This place really does have it all! It's also kept pretty clean, there are always workers working daily to fix up everything. This was my first time here, and will not be my last! The facilities here are really nice.It can be hard to find Tree shaded Tent camping with electric & water available. Love getting "back to nature" but some minimal electricity allows one to brings a fan for "white noise "if trying to sleep. A boon at this "busy"camp.The showers are modern , plenty of hot water and kept clean, flush toilets. They also offer cabins , bunkhouses , and RV camping . Looks like some people stay for "the whole season "with all their cute lawn ornaments and patio sets ,,,, nice neighborhood. They have a duck lake , kids were bicycling, campfires allowed, pets allowed.There is a Store with sundry items and coffee. I was greeted warmly, my reservations were "in order" I was given a clear map of the park . How this park gets 4.5 stars is beyond me. If I had know how weird this park was - we'd have gone elsewhere. This is by far the most rough - undesirable 'RV' park we've ever stayed at. Many people staying/sleeping in their cars on RV sites. Multiple tents on sites. It's completely crazy. I'm in town to work for the week and unfortunately this is the nearest option. We were unable to book full hook ups for the RV (despite there being plenty of spots empty when we drove by). So it's not great and perhaps that's the issue - we have a horrible spot for our RV. We're parked next to the prison like bathrooms and the dumpsters and 4 tents and two cars - a zillion people on the site next to us (they have taken over the pavilion area too). Speaking of prison - because this is a county park they seem to use people doing community service to clean up the property and they just walk right thru your site - they're here every day - all day. So you wake up to random dudes in vests outside your window. Really not comfortable. They pretty much just spend the day at the picnic area outside our site - sitting around - until being asked to do a task (which I assume is the assignment). Fortunately, I will be gone all week working and my husband will be here with our baby & dog - if the situation was reversed - I wouldn't feel safe here alone at all. Very rough barebones camping - we're in the Lakeview area. I guess you get what you pay for - I'm just bummed the area doesn't have better options as we would have been happy to pay MUCH more for better accommodations. The front of this campground looks nice (where you check in) but the water/electric sites/Lakeview = yikes. Will get a hotel next time I work in Riverside. read more

Well. I am pretty upset right now. I paid just like everyone else and had a spot there for almost 5 days. My truck was stolen from in front of my trailer in the middle of the night and when I reported it it didn't seem like anyone gave a crap. I asked over and over if they watched the cameras and the only answer I got was, there isn't any cameras. I figure if we pay $40-$55 a night to stay here, knowing how bad the homeless population is in the river bottom, there should at least be 1 or 2 cameras in the park. So now I am stuck having to ask for help to pull my trailer around. Please use caution when staying here. Obviously the park rangers and staff don't really care about anyone's property. read more

The park itself is nice only on the cottonwood side! But homeless in the area come in at night and steal things. The troopers I'm sure are doing there best but you can't help but get an uneasy feeling knowing that if you don't put things away they may or may not be there in the morning. We have camped here several times over the past few years. Staff is friendly and the park is clean. We like this place... on our last trip, someone stole my bike.. I talked to the park ranger who told me transients come into camp at night and steal property... would've been nice to know but like he said, it was my fault I didn't lock up my property at our camp site... .. we will be back because the kids love this place. This review is for our overall experience renting one of the cabins. The park is beautiful. Lots of camping choices with lakes, fishing, trails, playgrounds, folf, mini golf and more. Very kid and pet friendly. Although we didn't stay in one of the RV spots we walked around and were impressed with the spaciousness and cleanliness. Many campers laughing and kids riding bikes. Has a very good vibe. This review would have gotten 5 stars however we read the cabins were designed for four but could sleep 6. There is no way the cabins can sleep 6 unless a couple of people sleep on the floor. There were 4 adults and the bunk beds were pretty small for 2 adults. So, these cabins are designed more for 2 adults and 2 kids. If you're staying in one of the cabins make sure you bring blankets, pillows, pots, pans (if you'll be cooking), ice, shampoo, conditioner - just about everything. They provide a sheet for the queen bed and a blanket and four very small bath towels. It's definitely rustic. It was clean and we would definitely stay there again. read more

Close to home and cheap cheap cheap! Adult day pass $6 kids$3. We come here mainly for splash pad area. There are cabins, camping, RV waste dump, golf, and fishing. The water area isn't very big but it's not over crowded either. The kids have a blast every time. In case u forget something they have a store on site which has a a little bit of everything, including bike rentals. Tips: arrive early, bring an umbrella/canopy, bring chairs or blanket. ...they have park benches and canopies but those are the first to go. read more

This is probably one of my favorite RV campsites. They've got a newer developed area with full hookups and also plenty of sites near the lake on dirt/grass with hookups as well. The new paved sites have plenty of room between each site and the non-paved sites have sufficient spacing as well. There are a few closer together but in general I like how you're not on top of each other. They stock the lake but we've never had any luck fishing here. It's nice and serene though. They also have some nicely maintained walking trails albeit they're just short hikes around the campsites but that's just perfect for me. There's also a nice little miniature golf course and splash park. Overall, it's really nicely maintained with plenty of amenities. Makes you feel like you're away from the city even though you're in Riverside. There's also Mount Rubidoux nearby for additional hiking, Rubidoux drive-in theaters if your family wants to catch a movie, a nature center you can hike to and plenty of stuff to do or places to eat in the surrounding area if you don't feel like hanging out at the park. read more

This is one of the best places I've been to around this area. Reserving a site is easy online. Check in is so fast and easy. They come out to your truck. There are two areas. The dirt area with minimal hook-ups called Lakeview and the area we stayed in called Cottonwood with full hook-ups. The Cottonwood area is so great! There is lots of grass and trees. Plenty of shade. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit and long concrete pad. Spaces are so wide. There is no fencing. All of our neighbors were so great. The dumpsters are behind gates so you never have to see them. The lake is nice with benches, ducks and you can fish for catfish. There are lots of squirrels and bunnies. There is no cable nor wifi. We got cell phone service/internet but our TV antenna could only get channel 24. There is a splash pad, miniature golf and Frisbee golf. The bathrooms seemed clean and there are showers too. I will definitely be back soon. read more

This is a very nice, clean RV park. The "new" (southeast) portion is above a field and your spot does get pretty dusty with even the slightest wind. We went a month ago & were told they no longer allow golf carts. We have a new electric cart that has about a 15 mph top speed. The Ranger said no carts due to new rules & safety of kids & campers. (Even though kids & adults literally fly all over the roads on their electric powered toys) We just went Memorial Day weekend & a family of village drunks drove their golf carts all weekend, raising hell & yelling at everyone they saw. We asked the Rangers why we could not bring our carts but now people can? They said,"no", and that they warned the hell-raisers several times but they wouldn't listen so their supervisors told them to "just let them be". We had elderly parents with us we would've like to show around the park on our golf cart but couldn't. What a bunch of BS!!!! The Rangers also warned us to lock up ALL our stuff because the homeless people from the wash below the park all come through each night & "clean you out"?????? One more thing, if you think your children or grandkids will have a fun time at the water park, FORGET ABOUT IT!! They open it up to the public & it's full all day long like Disneyland. read more

The Park is Wonderful the fishing, the splash pad, the mini golf, the camping, its all great! This review reflects the Disc Golf course Only! Its an Unmaintained Course, a weed patch, a ground squirrel haven, a ant hill sanctuary, the Tee's are concrete and the targets are old, faded, and without markings! The worse part is we were charged 20.00 for entry - which includes the splash park, and mini golf. It has potential with some effort, they need to clean up the fairways, trim the tree's, fill in the holes, and put identification on the targets. Then it would be a decent course... read more

Very nice campground. However the early morning sound of lawnmowers and power edgers are very annoying. They started at 7:30 am wakening is up. Part of camping is supposed to be the relaxation of the early morning quiet sipping on a cup of coffee, not hearing the loud noise of mowers early in the morning. Starting about 10:00 am would be more acceptable, after most people are already up. As I am writing this I can not even hear my spouse talking to me. The noise is that loud. Good thing we are not eating our breakfast outside, otherwise we would have the dirt and grass particles all over our food. read more
