I then attempted to clear the blockage through a cleanout access point in the basement, again without success. At that point, I called Roto-Rooter. The technician they sent was outstanding. He used a 75-foot electric drain snake and initially pulled out nearly half a bucket of thick grease buildup. Although the drain clogged again shortly afterward, his second pass completely cleared the line. The water began flowing freely with no further issues.
