She enjoyed all the activities and tried new things that she likely would not have had an opportunity to experience such as: zip lining, fishing/boating, archery and ropes course. She got out of her comfort zone, tried new things and did not regret it. A big positive with this camp is that it has many other activities other than sports. My daughter is not into sports but there were so many other outdoor activities as well as science, art and theater that she enjoyed. She also got to do weekly horseback riding. My picky eater kid also loved the food here! I was shocked she was eating seconds at lunch (they are very generous in giving the kids more food if they are still hungry). And of course the bus picking up and dropping off right in front of your house is so convenient. We already signed up our kid for next summer. The summer camp bar has now been set high, as I don't think she will be satisfied attending any other camp after her fun Harbor Hills experience.

At the end of summer 2023 we put down a deposit to reserve his spot for the following summer. The camp took our deposit and emailed confirmation of enrollment in August. In December we receive an email from the camp stating my son was no longer a good fit. As a parent, this was heartbreaking. After being a family of this camp for years, they didn't even have the courtesy to have any verbal communication with us. I find the actions of this camp to be discriminatory. Approach with caution.

Obviously there was some hesitation with allowing our daughter to attend any camp this year, but the Breene family that runs the camp was amazing not only from a logistical point of view but also in providing a safe "normal" environment for kids to enjoy. We have joked (but not really joking) that other entities should take notes on not only how to do proper communication but then effectively implementing and providing an environment in which all participants could feel safe. If the Breene family can provide this type of atmosphere under the circumstances they faced this Summer, imagine the experience they can provide when, hopefully, things are a bit more normal next Summer! The sandpit even has toys like dump trucks - my kid would be perfectly happy to just stay there and call it a day! The condition of everything in the main areas is a little grubby, however. I appreciate that they put out plenty of chairs and benches all around for parents to sit on (cos waiting for your child while they play is an unavoidable part of the game), as well as some picnic tables. Prices are fair and reasonable, and entry for kids under 2 is free.
