We had been with the same State Farm agent for going on 30 years. When he retired, all of his clients were shifted to another agent, who happened to be a good 10 miles from my house.
Now, I know that's not far. But there are times that I like to drive to my agent rather than talking to them on the phone. That 10 mile drive would at times take me over 30 minutes. So I began looking for another agent that was nearby (there literally seem to be State Farm agents on every corner around here).
I visited Randy's office several times and was impressed by the time that he spent with me and the answers he provided to questions I had. Based on those encounters, we recently switched all of our policies to Randy for him to handle (multiple auto, homeowners, umbrella and life). Transition was smooth.
I've been in to see Randy and his staff several times since he's been our agent. I've also called his office to add a car to our policy, which was done quickly and with little effort. A temporary insurance card for that vehicle was promptly emailed to us so I didn't necessarily have to drive in (although I could have easily).
So far, both my husband and I are pleased with the service we've received from Randy. He's close, he's attentive to our needs and every time that I've wanted to talk to Randy personally, he has always been available (either on the phone or in person). read more
