If I need food or household needs etc I'll go to a Store or Supermarket! IF I need good , quick, and efficient & courteous service THIS IS MY FUEL STATION OF CHOICE !! Have gone to Randy's several times with no issues. Today I went to fill my tank and was charged $32.00. After getting about 1/2 a mile down the road I noticed that my gas gauge had not moved after the supposed fill up. I assumed some fault with the gauge. After driving another 15 miles I stopped and filled the car at another station and put just over 6 gallons in my tank. The attendant charged my credit card $32.00 and did not add any gas to my tank. I have the receipt and will follow up next time I am in the area. I am not optimistic there will be any resolution. Needless to say I won't be buying anything from Randy's in the future. read more

Prices are fair for gas. Got a candy bar for $1.39, think a little high but what do I know. I can remember them being 5 cents.

Randy's Smoke Shop is also a gas station. They do not have a little convenience that sells coffee or anything and the only thing they have is a discount smoke shop. Gas is usually 20 to 25 cents cheaper then the local gas stations. All you get here is cheap tobacco products and gasoline so if you need anything else look elsewhere. They pump the gas for you and even will clean your windows. read more

We have used this business for our gas for years. They have separated cash vs credit areas and the flow of traffic is smooth. The folks who work there are good at their jobs and we have never had a problem using our credit cards. The gas itself seems comparable to other stations. I went to Randy's on Tuesday evening Dec 1st. I made it a quick trip across the border to pick up some packages and then stopped at Randy's my usual go-to for gas. NOT ANY MORE. They charged me 45% exchange after they quoted a 30% exchange rate which I was willing to pay. They supposedly have a chart showing what the values are for a 30% exchange rate but someone seriously need to learn how to do math. I was filled up to $22.85 US, took out my calculator and figured out the 30% exchange to $29.70, and then was charge $33.00 Canadian for the gas. What a rip off!!! Called them the next day and questioned their supposed sheet for the 30%, and even the woman I spoke with re-quoted me the $33.00. And no matter how you do the conversion whether from US to Canadian or from Canadian to US, they both come out at the $29.70 figure. So at $33.00 they charged me 45% on the exchange. I have been going to Randy's gas bar for a number of years now but as of today that will be the last time I go there. On two different occasions this past 3months I have had the misfortune of getting this very rude & ignorant attendant, he has no concept on how to talk properly to a customer. The first time I had the misfortune to meet the individual I asked him how he was enjoying this fine weather, his reply to me was I don't waste my time talking about the weather, what for. I thought maybe he was having a bad day????? Today was the second time I had the misfortune of meeting the same attendant. Remembering our first encounter I thought I won't ask him about the weather but instead I asked him how he was doing, his reply was do you want a fill up no eye contact wouldn't even look my way, wow what great customer service this guy has. There were a number of cars he was looking after & soon my pump clicked off so I thought I would help out by restarting it as I have done before, when Mr. Congeniality sees this he told me no he would look after it, I told him I was only trying to help out. He then started to fill my spare 5 gal. gas can then walked away to talk to someone in a truck. This was not a problem as I was in no rush at that time. The pump clicked off again so again I thought I would help him out which as I said have done on other occasions. When he sees I have restarted the pump again he got very upset & starts telling me this is not self services why don't you listen to me there are sign's all over which by the way if there are I did not see them??? I told him I was sorry I was only trying to help him but he just kept up the badgering. I told him he did not need to be so rude & he did not need to speak to me in that manner but to not avail he just kept on lipping off. I told him that was enough & just finish the job so I can get out of here. With a grin on his face he asked me if I would like to speak to a manager?? I said no just give me my change. He then took the bills I handed him & inspects them by holding them up to the sky one by one, really why does this man believe he can treat people like that?. If Randy's Smoke Shop & Gas Bar believes this is how you treat customers then I'm sure they will be losing a lot more customers in the near future. Just a thought you might want to go over your customer services policy with your employees, I certainly know one person on your payroll that could benefit from it. Sorry but one rotten apple did spoil the barrel for me this time. As I said @ the start I'll now be going down the hill a 1/8th of a mile to Smokin Joe's where they know the proper way to treat a customer. read more
