I honestly do not understand how he received those high ratings besides his low attorney's fee. I…read moream beyond unsatisfied with his service as an attorney. After analyzing his attitude and behavior, I simply cannot help but wonder if he was being misogynistic, racist, and ageist against my family and I. I'll let you guys be the judge. This is my first time hiring an attorney. I hired him as my parents' attorney for real estate purposes. He took the case and whatnot. As soon as I hired him, I made sure that he knows, understands, and acknowledges that I am a simple person and I don't do contract readings every day. Therefore, there will be terms or concepts that I don't understand etc. I told him to be patient with me and asked him to translate the concepts to layman's terms. Lastly, I am POC. I will have to interpreter whatever contract is about to my parents. He replied "ok". When the work started, he was responsive to my requests at first. However, as we dived deep into the work progress he started to get annoyed when I asked him to explain, translate, and simplify the contract into easy and common language. He got pissy when I asked him to repeat something or I had difficulty with understanding certain concepts. As I leafed through contract, I noticed there were some spelling errors (eg: my address was wrong) and also my parents wanted to change something before signing the contract. So, I told him about that my parents would like a new spelling free contract. He was bitching and moaning about how this request cannot be done . Then, he proceeded to tell me that "The seller's attorney was "hard" to catch" along with the fact if I want to get those changes done he told me to "Contact the seller's attorney myself". First of all, the seller's attorney was in the same office as him, so I don't understand why he said that to me. Second of all, "Do it myself" this angered me even further. What was the point of hiring an attorney? What was his job or role as my parents' attorney? Why was I not getting the service that I was supposed to be getting? Barely any assistance. Since I hired him, he should be working together with my family and I -- not working against us. This relationship between him and my family should be similar to a relationship between an employer and an employee. Anyone with logic, tell me, why do I need to constantly chase him? Isn't he supposed to represent on my parents on their behalves? Finally, he started to be less and less responsive to my messages -- whether it was voice mail or email. I had to wait weeks to get one short response from him. When I finally had the chance to connect with him, he had the audacity to claim that he NEVER got received my messages. Not only that but he also NEVER told me that he was not in office during the time I sent him my messages. Due to this reasons, he failed to acknowledge that the closing date was over 2 months. He kept giving me BS excuses. My family and I are utterly dissatisfied with his service. If anyone is thinking about hiring him, please do reconsider.
