Five stars, and they earned every one of 'em! My Dad had a few rolls of super-8 film. He filmed our family a bit when we were young. Alright, alright, it was a few years ago. I was thinking of converting the film to DVD for my Dad's birthday. Steve worked-up some enticing pricing so I gave him the "go-ahead". The result is fantastic! Now each of my siblings will have a separate copy of our family film. Most importantly, my Mom & Dad can watch the film easily (my Dad is now 79, so the hassles of finding the stored, i.e. buried, film canisters and setting-up the movie projector had long since prohibited any viewings). From a customer service perspective, everybody at the store was great to deal with. As other commenters mentioned, the store's Saturday hours are not fixed. True, that adds some uncertainty (so you really MUST call ahead). But the flip-side is that Steve and his staff go out of their way (as Steve did with me) to ensure somebody will be at the store when you need it. Value, quality, service. The day before leaving for Jamaica I noticed my passport was to expire in 2 days . I found Stephen at Rapid Photo on the Govt of Canada Passport Office / Urgent Passport site and gave the number a call. He was amazing and guided me confidently through the process. As I live in Thunder Bay I needed to be in Toronto to get the passport , but I was already flying there on my way to Jamaica. I took a bus and met him at his office.The minute I saw him I felt relieved. He took the photo, did the paper work and drove me to the passport office , for my appt. It was a Sunday and he was headed home to make breakfast for his wife and kids, but we texted for the next 2 hours until I had my passport in my hand and was on my way back to the airport to catch the next flight to Jamaica. It was so cute ...I got a picture of his kids giving me the "thumbs Up" It added another $ 600 to my trip, but that's the price for not paying attention. Steve at Rapid Photo provided me with above and beyond service when I needed emergency passport photos taken at 8am on a Saturday during the holidays. Not only did he drive downtown to open the store to take the photos, but he was my complete "emergency passport" guru. He told me what other papers to have - and let me use his computer to print off one of the forms I'd missed - and then gave me a map and directions to the nearest passport office (which is around the corner). Above all that, he got in touch with me later in the day to see how it all turned out! All in all, Steve was the consummate professional and certainly went well beyond expectations. I highly recommend Rapid Photo's Emergency after-hours passport photos. It was because of Steve, at Rapid Photo, that I was able to attend a conference despite losing my passport the day before I needed to fly. Steve took my photo only half an hour after I called (and I called very late at night!), and he went above and beyond my expectations by offering me helpful and time-saving advice.
