I cannot say enough good things about Rapid Restoration in Plainview. After a broken central air conditioning unit in my attic caused a major flood in my home, I had no idea who to call or who I could trust. There are a lot of restoration companies out there, and in a very stressful situation, I feel extremely fortunate that I chose Rapid Restoration. They responded within just a couple of hours of my initial call, immediately stopped the damage from getting worse, and began drying out my home to prevent mold and further problems. From there, they handled everything. They removed all of the water-damaged materials and then rebuilt my home beautifully--ceilings, walls, insulation, electrical work, painting, flooring, and more. It truly was a one-stop shop, and the finished work was actually better than what I had before the flood. A special thank you goes to Mike, the foreman who oversaw the entire project. Mike was outstanding from beginning to end. He stayed in constant contact with me, often speaking with me every day, worked tirelessly to keep the job moving, and made sure everything was completed properly and on time. He was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and clearly took personal pride in the quality of the work. At every stage, I felt like Mike was personally invested not only in the project, but in making sure I was happy and that as much stress as possible was taken off my shoulders. The entire Rapid Restoration team treated my home and belongings with tremendous care. They carefully covered and moved my personal property to make sure nothing was damaged, and they cleaned up at the end of each day as though they were working in their own homes. Even though Rapid Restoration is a large company with multiple crews and specialists, they never lost the personal touch. Even the owner of the company called me periodically to provide updates and make sure I was being taken care of on every level. They also went far beyond the physical restoration of my home. They helped take the burden of dealing with the insurance company off my shoulders by assisting with estimates, photographs, documentation, paperwork, and securing payment for the work. That was an enormous help during an already overwhelming situation. What impressed me most was that Rapid Restoration clearly takes pride in its work and operates with integrity. They are professional, ethical, responsive, and committed to doing things the right way. You can tell that they have a strong set of core values and that customer satisfaction genuinely matters to them. When this happened, I did not know who to trust. I got lucky and picked the right company. If you ever find yourself needing emergency water damage restoration or home repairs, I would recommend Rapid Restoration without hesitation. They were prompt, responsive and did an excellent job cleaning up my flooded basement and made a very stressful time much more tolerable. The workers were very friendly and attentive. Do Not Use. Zero stars. Review is long overdue. Unprofessional is putting it mildly. Sub par workmanship, will lie to your face. No pride. Disrespect for personal property, stole a piece of jewelry, busted up a leg of a piano, piece disappeared, thought I wouldn't notice it being broken and missing. Promised it would be repaired, and although there were delays getting it fixed due to other personal issues, in the end it never got done, they just lied all along about repairing it. These clowns aren't professional and certainly aren't professional piano movers, and moved a piano around like it was just any other piece of furniture, by its legs rather than using dollys. You are made to feel in your own home that you have to walk on eggshells in how you speak, as these clowns take offense at any language you may use that they feel is personally directed at any one of them, completely misunderstanding you, yet they can perform shoddy workmanship. Electrical outlets were left open and put in crooked and left that way, or with the door molding or trim covering a third of an outlet, so the outlet is left open because they can't even cut the outlet cover for it, either before or after putting the molding up. Not applying a bead of caulking behind a bathroom backsplash not fully along the complete seam, leaving it uncaulked directly behind the faucet, and saying to your face it's ok to leave it like that!!! Just downright lazy and shoddy workmanship. You need to oversee their every move and watch where every cent of your money is going. Will argue with you about what you say was there before. Avoid the hassles and aggravation of dealing with these clowns, by simply not hiring them in the first place. And I agree with another reviewer that said her non moldy stuff was tossed along with moldy stuff that could have been saved and should have been separated correctly. During one of the most stressful times when the clean up crew come first to remove and make piles outside of the good(non moldy, salvegeable), and the bad(moldy), if your not watching every little thing, items will go missing and perfectly good and/or salvageable items will end up in the throw away piles. If you ask where's this or where's that, they will make light of it, not take it seriously because the bottom line for them is to get the job done as quickly as possible, so the restoration crew can come in and cut corners wherever they can, by doing shoddy work and buying the cheapest materials or reusing materials that they deem are good enough so they can line their pockets with more of your money and move on to the next sucker who makes the mistake of hiring them. Don't hire these amateurs who will lie to your face, be disrespectful to you and your personal property, be it sentimental or otherwise, and act like there doing you a favor by showing up. read more

The crew of Shawn, Randy, Brandon and Josue were amazing! Extremely respectful as I had a 10 month old baby and dog each day they worked. They made sure everything was clean and answered all questions we had. Instead of giving us one word answers, they took the time to show us certain things so we would understand it better. We had a flood and it was super depressing. They were quick to clean everything up! It's nice to know that there are still companies that have great customer service AND do amazing work! read more

DO NOT USE I experienced a water and mold problem. The workmen for the mitigation were cordial and cooperative. They worked rapidly, throwing away supposedly mold covered/destroyed (mainly boxes) contents, boxing items that could be saved, and piling objects in backyard covered in plastic ( mold and non mold). They'd just dumped contents of boxes together in larger boxes, dumped moldy and non moldy together in backyard heaped mess on grass and covered some unboxed items in basement with plastic. Objects were in a horror of disarray. Valuable things were missing that were metal/glass no mold and did not need to be tossed. Many construction errors were made some of which were corrected by Alex but should have been noted by the construction manager Dan, not me. I had to oversee each step of the lengthy (men only worked from 10A-2P to avoid traffic) physical restoration. The "place back"had to be overseen by me step by step after they took pictures in the beginning to know where everything went. Needless to say I would never use Rapid Restore again. The personnel are cordial and cooperative the service is very very poor and lacking in expertise‼ I used "Servpro" in the past and had excellent service for a similar problem beginning to end. read more

Sunday Morning I had no hot water, went downstairs to water over the top of my sneakers! The water heater was shooting water everywhere. I turned off the water supply and called the insurance company. They referred me to a restoration company, that didn't call back (until late that night). So after 2 hours I looked online and found RAPID RESTORE. I called them and received an immediate response. They were at my house in less than an hour , and had a team there cleaning up in less than 2 hours. Shawn was the lead man and he arranged everything very quickly and efficiently. He also kept checking back with both me and the crew to answer any questions, he was very reassuring to me that everything would be Ok. he called me at least once every day to let me know what was going on. The crew that came knew exactly what they were doing. and had the water gone, dehumidifiers running and some items from the floor outside within a couple of hours. Brandon and Nick were quick and efficient in their setup work. The next morning a crew of 6 persons arrived and began the process of removing all of the contents to a storage unit in the driveway. Brandon was the lead and explained everything as we went along. They separated good items from wet items. and packed everything as if it were their own. They worked 3 days and 2 storage trailers full. Brandon and the 2 Nicks were great ! They were efficient and clean as they worked. Demo was next with them removing all of the damaged materials. Carpets came up, paneling came down insulation was removed and everything was vacuumed and sprayed with anti fungal spray and then all the studs were hand wiped to make sure all was covered in the solution. All of the garbage was removed the same day. This morning Shawn was at my door at 8:30 AM to meet the insurance adjuster and he took care of all the details. He had taken pictures of everything (something I forgot to do) I could not have asked for a better response to my disaster than the team of experts I got at Rapid Restore. No offence, but I hope I never need their services again, but I am glad to know they will be there if I do need them again! Rebuilding the basement is my next step, and i will be speaking to them about this ASAP./ I would recommend THIS CREW AND COMPANY without any reservation, Thank you to the whole crew. read more

Our hot water heater pressure valve blew and we had a flood. Ronny and the crew came almost instantly and took over which was a profound relief! If you have ever had a flood you know what I mean. They took care of the whole project. They were very professional and efficient and most importantly the work was really good. They "restored" my finished basement back to its former glory. Kyle Schwartz showed up promptly. Took pictures of the cesspool back up in my basement. The crew came the next afternoon. Both were very nice and worked for 3-4 hours cleaning up. They came back 4 days later to pick up their fans and humidifier. Chris informed me that when he turned off the light it broke. The chain came completely out of the base. He told me he would inform the boss. Unfortunately it wasn't until after they left that I noticed that they never moved the washer and dryer to clean behind them. I called Kyle and informed him of the additional cleaning that had to be done and of the broken light. I never heard back. My son called Kyle 2 times. First time he said he was waiting for the insurance money. The second time he didn't answer. I have been informed by Allstate that they have been paid. The payment included moving washer and dryer. They have NOT contacted me or my son. I am thinking about hiring an electrician for the light and another company for the cleaning and sending them the bill. Suing if I have to. I just heard from Ronny the owner of the company. They are coming tomorrow morning to look at what has to be completed. Very happy about the quick response. read more
