The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer questions and point me in the right direction without making it feel rushed. You can tell they really care about art and helping customers. The whole place had a creative, welcoming vibe that made me want to stay longer and browse. Easily one of the best spots in Savannah for art supplies and I'll definitely be back.

A True Gem in Savannah's Art Scene…read more I had the most incredible experience at Blick Art Materials on Broughton while preparing for a watercolor class hosted by my apartment complex. Since I've also been gearing up to launch my own watercolor portrait series for Etsy, I was super excited to gather the right supplies. I came in with a list and a lot of enthusiasm... but also zero clue where to start! Enter Manda, an absolute angel who just knew I needed a little guidance. She kindly circled back to check on me, and I'm SO glad she did. Her warm smile and extensive knowledge made me feel instantly at ease. She gave me a full-on watercolor masterclass right there in the aisle--explaining the types of brushes best suited for portraits, the difference between synthetic and natural hairs, and even how brush length affects technique. Who knew short handles are better for control? She did! When it was time for her to clock out, she passed me on to Cesar, whose calm and caring energy made me feel like I was in expert hands. He's basically the Watercolor Whisperer! Cesar broke down everything--from starter vs pro-level watercolor sets to the difference between cold-pressed and hot-pressed paper textures. Even when other customers waited nearby for his help, he made sure I was fully taken care of before moving on. That level of customer service is rare and deeply appreciated. And let me not forget Chaylei, the radiant cashier with the cutest nose ring and a great sense of humor. Her energy was so fun and light, and she had me cracking up at the register when she found out Cesar's watercolor wizardry. The whole checkout experience felt more like chatting with friends than just making a purchase. The store itself is bright, well-stocked, and gives off a cozy, artist-hangout vibe. You can tell that everyone who works here is passionate about their craft and genuinely cares about helping people explore their creativity. If you're in Savannah--whether you're a SCAD student, an amateur artist, or just curious--this is the only place you need to go. Manda, Cesar, and Chaylei turned what could've been an overwhelming trip into a beautiful, inspiring one. I'll absolutely be back... again and again!

I was shipping 2 very valuable, fragile paintings to Seattle and they took my concern very seriously. My paintings needed to be packaged as fragile and I watched them package the items with extreme care and a lot of padding. They also complimented my paintings given they could see how important they were to me - an extra sign that they were empathetic and caring towards my family heirloom belongings. I am so grateful for their kind service at this store. I pray the package gets safely to Seattle and I am hopeful that they will given the service I received. Thank you!!

Needless to say I would rather highlight how Brooke and Gabe both took the time to keep communication lines open and offered a solution to an otherwise unpleasant order fulfillment. This type of "true" customer service is rate now a days and should be commended as this is the only reason why customers will stay with companies are because of people like this who represent your brand! Thank you to Brooke and Gabe! You are much appreciated!!!

Savannah Blueprint is an architectural/engineering blueprinting business which has been in town…read moresince the 1920s and now has offices in Stateboro and elsewhere in the region. While that's very impressive to me, I feel like their services have perhaps been eclipsed in some regards by Image is Everything and other local business which cater to SCAD students' printing needs. That said, Savannah Blueprint has always been a blueprinter servicing the industries which use arch/industrial reprographics and not a typical printer. They still get a good deal of business from SCAD kids in the building arts fields plus professionals in the same areas and those in civil, structural, and marine engineering. CADD, desktop publishing and good office/home printers which don't cost a king's ransom have all changed the game and yet these guys hang in and seem to do alright. All the work I've had done by Savannah Blueprint has been just fine. I have no complaints, but then once you've been in this field over ten years you probably have things down, and these folks have been here nearly a century. Why three stars? Savannah Blueprint also carries a number of drafting and surveying instruments and supplies and I've found their selection to be a little lackluster and some of the supplies downright dusty. The downtown office is small and crowded and while I don't fault them for that, I feel that if they want to offer core drafting supplies they could expand their selection because no one much else in the region has a good selection and they, with their history here, could corner the market. Savannah Blueprint also carries--or at least used to carry--USGS maps, but now you can get those for free as PDFs online straight from the source. Sometimes it feels like businesses like Savannah Blueprint are being slowly forced to go the way of the dinosaur due to the Internet and digital innovation, but I think they'll adapt as they have all along. I'm glad they're here, but wish they'd expand their supplies selection and make their website better.

I work for an architectural firm in St. Louis, and we needed to have a couple of oversized documents (36x48) printed, mounted on foamcore, and delivered to a conference site. Called Savannah Blue, spoke to Cyrus (who ROCKS, btw), and was extremely pleased to find that they could accommodate our seriously rushed job, going above and beyond the service I would expect. Now - I'm reviewing them, not having seen the results of their work, but I'm betting it's gonna be stellar!
