I need to process my taxes. I have been calling since January. The last call I spoke with the person in charge of my taxes, Johana, was on January 8. Since then, I have called many times, and I don't know if my messages simply aren't being passed on to her or if she just doesn't return my calls. My documentation was complete on that day. Even so, everything was requested again by email in February, and I resent it. Since then, I've been trying to communicate, and my calls are never returned. I call up to 5 times a day, and I'm always told she's busy with a client. I have already paid for the tax service and even sent proof of payment. Now, in March, I was charged another $200 on my card for work covering these three months of 2026, but if they haven't even finished last year's taxes, how are they charging me again? I haven't even sent them my account statements for this year because their customer service is terrible, yet they are very good at charging. Last year was the same headache. My taxes were filed late last year, and it wasn't because I didn't send what was requested. I NEED my taxes!! The first year, when Mrs. Martha assisted us, everything was excellent. I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with this company. I was told that I owed the government $5000, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress and concern. Based on the errors and lack of communication, I did not feel confident in their work at all from the beginning. I provided all the required paperwork, including a complete list of my dependents, which was 3 that I listed, but they only included one on my tax return. This is a major error that should not have happened. On top of that, communication throughout the process was extremely poor, I called multiple times and was told I would receive a call back which never happened. There was a complete lack of follow-through. What made the situation even worse was how they handled their mistake. They didn't take responsibility, and instead they questioned whether I had even submitted the correct information, suggesting that I might be at fault. I was told they would have to amend after verifying their own paperwork but at no point did anyone apologize or acknowledge the error. After they checked the form and clearly saw that I had listed my 3 dependents they called and said that everything was fixed. No explanation of how they fixed it, no explanation if they found the form or not . Nothing!! She just mentioned I was actually getting a refund and that everything was fixed. So, after they have been so "trustworthy" I am supposed to be ok and happy because I am getting money back instead of having to pay?? I don't trust this company at all. It sounds very fishy to me. The lack of accountability and professionalism was unacceptable I would not recommend this company to anyone. I would not even get my taxes done by this company if they told me it was free of charge. I would never go back to this company again. I am still waiting for the copy of my amended taxes. The guy at the front said he would send an email to me, and I am still waiting. Disappointing Experience with Rapid Tax - Exceptional Martha, but Overall Disappointing: - I recently used Rapid Tax for my 2022 tax filing, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Martha, who handled my case, did a commendable job and provided a recap of what will be submitted to the IRS. However, my frustration began when weeks later, I still hadn't received my tax return. After numerous unreturned calls, I was informed that something was missing in my filing. No apologies were offered, and I had to wait another two weeks for any progress. - To my dismay, upon checking my IRS account, I discovered that nothing had been submitted, not even a pending application. When I called back, I spoke to someone named Matthew, who exhibited an arrogant and sarcastic tone, Which lead me to question whether that's his real name or a disrespectful lie using my own name to claim that it's his ! He seemed clueless about my case and hung up on me, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. When I called back to address this behavior, he denied hanging up and gave me the same unconvincing name, and hang up on me again outrageously adding that any follow up after the tax filling service delivered was a favor while I paid for a service with a guarantee of result , a result that hasn't been achieved reducing the service I paid for the a simple data implementation service that I am capable to do myself online and free of charge . At this point, further eroding my trust in their team. - This experience left me frustrated and disappointed. It's clear that there's a significant need for improvement in their performance and customer service, with the exception of Martha, who consistently performs admirably despite the challenges posed by her team. Customers, regardless of their financial status, deserve to be treated respectfully and professionally, and respect is not a favor but a right to every living being, that this person who called himself Matthew seem to ignore responding to my inquiry that I made sure is expressed with a tone of language cold, firm, reflecting my concern and frustration and yet RESPECTFUL without any personal attack to him but directed to the company . Unfortunately with this clear lack or emotional intelligence from this person a line is crossed to which I respond with this review I cannot recommend Rapid Tax unless there's a marked improvement in their overall performance, a written mail of apology by this person, or his replacement by another person that will be grateful to have a job they truly do for the purpose to help not only the pay check. - I wanted to mention that writing this review was a hard choice for me to make, considering the years of business relation with Rapid Tax. While a few staff members, including Martha, were professional, courteous and respectful, the consistent poor performance and lack of professionalism always caught my attention. I took the time to de-escalate my emotions an hour after this call i made today at 1:42 to ensure that I am stating facts, not influenced by any emotions but simply by what I experienced. I am aware that this review could impact the brand of Rapid Tax services negatively and have consequences over this person's employment and career overall being open to the public and closely monitored by employers screening for their applicants , However, I made this difficult decision for those other customers who may not have raised their voice, that I witnessed treated disrespectfully only because they trust rapid tax with their finances because for the most they don't have the academical background to do it themselves, workers that excelled in their jobs but contribute in feeding families of rapid tax associate . It's important for those associates at Rapid Tax who worked diligently for others, and also for my duty as a citizen to address something that I saw needed attention. I do not know if was done to me but simply to say is run from them. Today after so many days waiting for so called appointment they forgot I had also they don't respect the appointment (1 1/2 hr later got in office and after just 10 minutes was simply put,dump out with no chance to ask why charged me more money more taxes and less deduction from the amount then normal.Also they don't know to do truck drivers taxes. read more
